Commercial Fire 700 Block of 3rd Street, Newport

Newport Fire Department - 04/25/18 

A 10:43 PM on April 24, 2018, Newport Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at a commercial structure located at 730 NE 3rd Street. First in fire department units arrived to discover Unit A of the structure involved in smoke and fire. The space was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

Fire crews quickly deployed hose lines to extinguish the structure.

Newport Fire Department received mutual aid assistance from Toledo Fire Department and Depoe Bay Department.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
