Assault Investigation Underway on SE Powell Blvd - Two People Injured

On Sunday, May 27, 2018, at 5:39 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a stabbing at DV8 Lounge, located at 5021 Southeast Powell Boulevard.

As officers responded to the location, a caller to 9-1-1 reported a disturbance occurred between multiple people at the location as a customer was asked to leave.

Officers arrived at the location and located two people with injuries. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the injured people. The person, witnesses identified as the customer, suffered what was believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The injured customer's injuries were possibly caused by a bladed instrument, such as a knife. The injured customer was transported to an area hospital by ambulance. The other injured person, an employee, suffered injuries that did not require transport by ambulance to an area hospital.

Detectives with the Portland Police Bureau Detective Division's Assault Detail have responded to lead this investigation. Criminalists with the Forensic Evidence Division have also responded to assist with this investigation.

Based on information gathered at this time, all subjects involved in this disturbance have been contacted by investigators. There is not believed to be an immediate danger to the public in regards to this assault investigation.
