UPDATED- DCSO Seeking Public's Help to Locate Missing Female from Bend

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is turning to the public in an attempt to locate 49-year-old Dawn R. Garcia of Bend.
Garcia was last seen at approximately 9:00pm yesterday in the 64800 block of Hunnell Road after she left her residence on foot. She left barefoot and without her cellphone, wallet, or glasses.

Based on a possible sighting of Ms. Garcia in the area of Deschutes Junction (Highway 97 at the Tumalo Road overpass) at about 11:15 last night, the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office is asking for property owners and residents in the following areas check their property and outbuildings. The area includes locations between Old Bend Redmond Highway and Highway 97, both north and south of Tumalo Road. Although we cannot confirm the possible sighting was actually Ms. Garcia, we believe the information is worth sharing with the public and ask them to check their properties and outbuildings. We have included a map of the area we are asking property owners search.

Garcia is described as a white female, 5’02” tall and 110lbs. She was last seen wearing a white tank top, purple tye-dye shirt and white pants.
We’re asking anyone that may have seen Garcia since yesterday at 9:00pm, or has information on her current whereabouts, please call Deschutes County non-emergency dispatch at 541-693-6911, reference 18-149009.
