Hillsboro Police Investigate Pedestrian Crash

At 7:47 a.m., officers responded to a crash involving a Hillsboro School District bus and a pedestrian in the intersection of S.E. Tualatin Valley Hwy. and S.E. Century Blvd.  The bus turned left from southbound Century Blvd. onto eastbound Tualatin Valley Hwy. on a green left turn signal when it struck an 84-year-old woman in the crosswalk.  She was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Preliminary investigation shows the bus had the right-of-way.  Students were on the bus at the time of the crash; all occupants were uninjured.

The investigation closed Tualatin Valley Hwy. for about an hour and the road has since reopened.  No citations have been issued at this time.  This investigation is ongoing.
