One of Texas Most Top Ten Wanted Arrested in Klamath County

Oregon State Police - 05/09/18 

On May 7, 2018, at approximately 8:00 AM, OSP Klamath Falls Major Crimes Detectives received information regarding a married couple living in Bonanza, Klamath County, Oregon, using false identities. The couple was described to possibly be absconding from sex related crimes in Texas.
Detectives were able to identify the married couple as Shawn Monroe Cowan, 43, and Rachel Ann Guttry, 46, from Beaumont, Texas. Both COWAN and GUTTRY both had arrest warrants issued from Texas for Parole Violations and Failing to Register as Sex Offenders. COWAN was listed on the Top 10 wanted sex offenders in Texas. COWAN and GUTTRY were living in a rural wooded area outside of Bonanza, Oregon.
On May 8, 2018, COWAN and GUTTRY were taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, an OSP aircraft was deployed to the assist with surveillance on the wooded area. The Oregon State Police were assisted with the investigation by the U.S. Marshal Service, and the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office.
