Paraglider crashes on Pine Mountain east of Bend

Paraglider pilot: Michael Lee - 34 year old male - Reno, Nevada
On 05/27/2018 at 4:26 p.m., Deschutes County 911 received a 911 call from Lee who reported being injured while making an emergency landing while piloting a paraglider.  Deputies from the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office, a USFS LEO and paramedics from the Bend Fire Department responded to the area and located Lee on the east side of Pine Mountain.
Lee advised he launched from the west side of Pine Mountain but got caught in unpredictable winds, and landed on the east side of Pine Mountain, outside of the designated landing zone.  Lee was evaluated by Bend Fire Department paramedics and transported via ground ambulance to Saint Charles Medical Center - Bend for observation.
The paraglider Lee was piloting was non-motorized and similar in shape to a parachute.
