Shalamar Edmond Homicide Remains Unsolved After Seven Years - Crime Stoppers Featured Case #18-23 (Photo)

The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a 2011 homicide.

On May 16, 2011, at 12:03 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the area of North Trenton Street and Newman Avenue on the report of gunfire in the area.

Officers arrived in the area and found the victim, 18-year-old Shalamar Alte Edmond, deceased at the scene. The Oregon State Medical Examiner determined he died of gunshot wounds.

Detectives learned that Edmond was walking home from his girlfriend's house when he was killed. Detectives do not have any suspect information.

Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers cash rewards of up to $2,500 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in any unsolved homicide or other felony crime, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
