Suspect Arrested in Stolen RV after Eluding Officers
Medford Police Dept. - 05/02/18 4:06 PM
On May 2, 2018, at 11:41 AM Medford Police responded to the area of the WinCo Shopping Center on Barnett Road to assist an Oregon State Police Trooper in locating a suspect in a stolen motor home.  The OSP Trooper observed the suspect with the stolen motor home parked near the Adult Shop as he was patrolling north bound on Interstate 5.
The motor home had been reported stolen earlier in the morning to OSP.  During the initial investigation OSP identified Aubrey General as the suspect, and he was wanted for an outstanding parole violation warrant.  OSP received further information General had been using drugs and was possibly under the influence and was responsible for caring for a small child.
While responding back to WinCo, OSP observed the stolen motorhome leaving the parking lot.  OSP along with a Medford Police Officer attempted to stop the motorhome on Riverside Avenue.  The vehicle failed to yield and turned west on 9th Street.  The vehicle stopped for the red light at the intersection of 9th Street and Central Avenue, at which time OSP attempted to block the vehicle in with a marked patrol unit.  The motorhome accelerated through the intersection hitting the OSP vehicle and another citizen vehicle.
The motorhome continued to elude officers at slow speeds through downtown Medford.  The pursuit ended after the motorhome pulled into an alley behind the Mail Tribune on North Fir Street.  The motorhome became blocked in after it apparently attempted to pull into a covered parking area.  Aubrey General was taken into custody after he exited the motorhome holding a small child.  The child appeared to be in good health.
The Medford Police Department investigated the traffic accident and failing to yield to police.  Aubrey General was lodged at the Jackson County Jail on the following charges:
Attempted to Elude Police – (Vehicle)
Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver – (2 Counts)
Reckless Endangering another Person
Reckless Driving
Parole Violation Warrant
Bail: $32,500

Suspect: General, Aubrey Rain (34 years old)
               Transient
