Fatal crash on Hwy 95 south of Jordan Valley

Oregon State Police - 06/03/18 

On June 2, 2018 at approximately 12:21 PM Oregon State Police Troopers from the Ontario Area Command were dispatched to a 2 vehicle crash involving a commercial motor vehicle and a passenger car on US Hwy 95 near MP 59 south of Jordan valley.
Preliminary investigation shows that a 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass, driven by Theodore MOSQUEDA II, age 57, from Nampa, ID.  when for unknown reasons lost control and slid sideways into the southbound lane in the path of a commercial motor vehicle, driven by Howard DANIELS, age 56, from Yuma, AZ.  As the Oldsmobile was sliding sideways it impacted with the CMV.
Mosqueda suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Daniels was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Caldwell, ID. 
Hwy 95 was closed for approximately 6 hours while the scene was investigated.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Jordan Valley Ambulance and ODOT.
