Person Seriously Injured in Hit and Run Crash Late Friday Night on Sandy Boulevard

On Friday June 1, 2018, at 11:05 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report that someone had been struck by a driver on Northeast Sandy Boulevard at 62nd Avenue.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the injured person, a 48-year-old female, suffering from serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The woman was transported to a Portland by ambulance for treatment.

A witness told police that the woman was in a crosswalk walking southbound across Sandy Boulevard when she was struck by a westbound driver in a smaller white SUV. The driver of the SUV stopped for a moment, then turned left onto Northeast 61st Avenue and sped out of the area.
