Police investigating shooting

On Sunday, June 24, 2018 at approximately 9:13 pm, Salem Police officers were called to the Walmart at 3025 Lancaster Drive NE on the report of a shooting. Officers learned that one male adult had been shot and seriously injured. The victim was transported to Salem Health by a witness prior to first responders arriving on scene. At this time no suspects are in in custody. Detectives have been called in and are responding to the scene to take over the investigation. No further information will be available until detectives have had more time to investigate the incident.
