Road Rage Incident Leads to Arrest

On June 1st, 2018 at 8:07 pm, Bend Police Officers and Bend Medics were dispatched to the area of SW Brookswook Blvd and SW Reed Market Road for a reported vehicle versus pedestrian motor vehicle crash. 
Officers arrived on scene to find two females lying on the ground injured and a male apparently attempting to leave the scene.   In the course of the investigaton officers learned the incident was not a vehicle crash but rather a roadrage resulting in the assault of two females.  Bend Police Officers learned the incident began when Lucinda Mann pulled in front of Jay Barbeau on SW Bond Street.  Barbeau followed Mann in her vehicle until she stopped, at which time he smashed her vehicle window and assualted both Mann and her passenger.  Bend Medics provided medical care and transported Mann and her passenger to SCMC – Bend with non-life threatening injuries.  Barbeau was transported to SCMC – Bend and treated for minor inuries and then lodged in the Deschutes County Jail on the above listed charges.
