Traffic Crash
Bend Police Dept. - 06/01/18
On June 1, 2018 at 2:53pm Bend Police and Bend Fire were dispatched to a report of a traffic crash near the intersection of SE Third Street and SE Division. It was reported to 911 that a vehicle and pedestrian were involved.
The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
An unidentified female was on the sidewalk in front of 7-11 (1185 SE Third). For unknown reasons the female ran (east) out into the roadway and ran into the rear passenger side of a moving bus. The bus was a Bend/Lapine School District bus. The bus had two passengers and no other injuries were reported. The female suffered serious injuries and was transported to St. Charles by Bend Fire. The bus driver is fully cooperating with the investigation. SE Third Street was closed for a half hour.
The investigation is ongoing and the Bend Police Department is asking for any witnesses to please call police. Non-Emergency Dispatch 541-693-3911.
