Based on video surveillance recovered from the area around the time of this crash, the Deschutes County County Sheriff’s Office is releasing three images this afternoon of a vehicle of interest in this crash. The vehicle was observed on video surveillance in the area and matches the description of the suspect vehicle as described by a witness. On June 23, 2018, at approximately, 1030 hours, deputies from the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office responded to area of Skyline Ranch Road and Macapline Road for a report of a Hit and Run, vehicle versus bicyclist. . Information gathered from witnesses on scene found a blue mid-sized pick-up truck with a white canopy had stuck a bicyclist and fled the scene. The make and model of the vehicle is unknown but reported to be similar in size to a Dodge Dakota. There were no other physical observations made in relation to the vehicle.

The suspect vehicle was last seen northbound on Skyline Ranch Road towards Skyliners Road. The vehicle was reportedly occupied by two subjects, with the passenger having long hair. No other description was obtained on the subjects involved.
The bicyclist sustained serious injuries and the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating the vehicle and suspects involved in the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call non-emergency dispatch at 541-693-6911.
