Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested in Sisters

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office - 07/17/18 

On July 17, 2018, at approximately 5:00 am, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) contacted and arrested Alexander J. Walton of Sisters on an outstanding Attempted Murder warrant issued out of Multnomah County, Oregon.

The arrest came after the Portland Police Bureau contacted DCSO late last week and asked for assistance in locating and arresting Walton.  Detectives used surveillance and other various investigative techniques to determine Walton was living in the Sisters area and to establish a plan to safely take him into custody.

Through the combined effort of DCSO Detectives, DCSO SWAT Team and Portland Police Bureau Detectives, Walton was arrested as he exited a vehicle this morning near the intersection of E. Cascade Avenue and N. Fir Street in Sisters.  Walton has subsequently been lodged in the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Adult Jail.  Walton faces no charges in Deschutes County and will be transported to Multnomah County on his warrant in the coming days.
