On Tuesday, 070318, deputies with the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a multiple vehicle motor vehicle crash on Highway 20 near W Rail Way west of Sisters. The investigation revealed that Unit 1 was eastbound and did not stop for slowed/stopped traffic caused by congestion in the city of Sisters near the Highway 20 round-a-bout. Unit 1 rear ended Unit 2, which was shoved forward and into Unit 3 and Unit 3 was shoved into Unit 4 in a chain like rear-end crash sequence.
Graydon Hallock, the driver of Unit 2 and the juvenile passenger of Unit 4 were transported to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend by ground Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
All vehicles suffered some degree of damage as a result of this crash. Unit 1 and unit 3 were towed from the scene.  Unit 2 was parked off the side of the road and Unit 4 was driven from the scene by the owner.
The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by the Sisters Camp Sherman Fire Department, the Black Butte Ranch Police Department, ODOT and the Oregon State Police.  The driver of Unit 1, William Tilton, was cited for following too close (as traffic became congested).  The driver of Unit 2, Graydon Hallock, was also cited for defective lighting by operation without brake lights on his pup-trailer.
