Serious Injury Crash on US 26 near Government Camp Loop -- Clackamas County

On July 7, 2018 at approximately 4:45pm, the Oregon State Police responded to a serious injury crash on US 26 at the Government Camp Loop, within Clackamas County.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a black 2011 Chrysler 200, operated by a juvenile driver, of Happy Valley was attempting to emerge onto US 26 from the Government Camp Loop parking lot to proceed eastbound. While executing the left turn, the Chrysler was struck by a black 2003 Ford F350, which was traveling westbound on US 26.  The Ford was operated by Bruce DYAL, age 19 of Brightwood.

Two occupants, Ya-Chu Matilda Chuang and the juvenile driver, of the Chrysler were transported to Oregon Health Sciences University in serious to critical condition. The third juvenile occupant sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision. Neither speed nor alcohol is contributing factors.
Oregon State Police was assisted by Oregon Department of Transportation, Hoodland Fire, US Forestry Service Officers, and All Ways Towing Company.
