Three vehicle crash on Hwy 22E claims life of motrocyclist

Oregon State Police - 08/11/18 

On Saturday, August 11, 2018 at about  9:10 am, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a motor vehicle versus motorcycle crash on OR-22E near milepost 71. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that a white 2015 Triumph motorcycle, operated by Gregory D. Gummere (64), of Boise, ID, was traveling westbound on OR-22E when for unknown reasons the motorcycle crossed the centerline and clipped an eastbound 1996 Plymouth minivan operated by David Privratsky (62), of McMinnville, OR.  The motorcycle then hit head-on with a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, operated by Caleb J. Pilling (33) of Beaverton, OR.   


Gummere suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.  There were no injuries to any other persons involved. 

OR-22E was closed for approximately five hours following the crash.  OSP was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Idahana Fire, and ODOT.
