Driver of log truck dies in single vehicle crash - Hwy 22W (Hebo Hwy) - Yamhill County

On September 7, 2018 at approximately 5:00 P.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the report of a log truck that had run off the road on Hwy 22 W near mile post 20.
Investigation reveals that a 1992 Peterbilt truck, operated by Ronald Lee TAYLOR (81) of La Grande, drove off the road and struck a tree. TAYLOR was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigation is continuing, but it appears that TAYLOR possibly suffered a medical event which led to the vehicle being driven off the road.
Oregon State Police was assisted by the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office and ODOT.
