Homicide Investigation Underway on N Marine Dr. - One Person Deceased

Portland Police Bureau - 09/05/18 
On Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 1:01 a.m., Portland Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the report of a vehicle fire in the 6200 block of North Marine Drive. As firefighters battled the car fire they located what was believed to be a deceased person inside the vehicle and requested North Precinct officers respond to the scene.

Members with the Portland Police Bureau Detective Division's Homicide Detail have responded to assume this suspicious death investigation. Criminalist with the Forensic Evidence Division also responded to assist with this investigation.

The Portland Police Bureau Public Information Officer will not be responding to the scene. The investigation is in its early stages and there is no additional information to provide at this time. Updates are expected to be provided as they are learned later today.
