Marion Co. Sheriff's Office - 11/01/18

On November 1st, 2018 around 6am an inmate from the Marion County Transition Center walked away from the facility.  The inmate is 44 year old Mark Alvarado.  Mr Alcarado is 5'06 tall and weighs approximately 230 lbs.  Mr Alvarado was being held at the Transition Center on a Probation Violation for not reporting to his probation officer.

The Marion County Transition Center is a minimum custody facility that houses up to 144 inmates that are transitioning from jail back into the community.  The Transition Center offers programs as well as work opportunities for the inmates that are housed in the facility.  The overall plan for the inmates living in the Transition Center is to get them involved in programs as well as develop a smooth transition back into the community.

The Sheriff's Office is asking the public to call Marion County Dispatch at 503-588-5032 if you see or know where Mr Alvarado is.
