Myrtle Creek woman cited for first-degree theft after allegedly taking a bank bag

Tina Marie Rowland was cited for first-degree theft after allegedly taking a bank bag Monday afternoon.
A report from Roseburg Police said the 52-year old woman was shopping at Sherm’s and noticed that another customer had left the bag on the counter. The woman allegedly opened it and saw that it contained a large amount of cash and checks. The woman then reportedly stole the bag and took it home. Later she noticed that her photo had been posted on Facebook as the suspect in the theft.
The woman called in to confess. She was released after the citation was issued.
