Single vehicle fatal crash on Hwy 42 - Coos County

On Monday, December 3, 2018 at approximately 3:39 AM. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy 42 near the Hwy 101 Jct.
Investigation revealed that a 1999 Dodge PU, operated by Kevin Ramsey (59) of Coquille, was westbound on Hwy 42 when he drifted off the roadway and onto the shoulder. The pickup rolled and came to rest on its roof.
Ramsey sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
OSP was assisted by the Coos County Sheriff's Office, Millington Fire Department, Green Acres Fire Department, and ODOT.
