Hillsboro Police K-9 Locates Burglary, Theft of Firearms Suspect

On Sunday, February 3, 2019, at 2:02 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a residence in the 3000 block of SW 331st Ave in unincorporated Hillsboro. A homeowner confronted a male suspect as he was leaving the property. When confronted by the homeowner, the suspect turned over the stolen guns and fled on foot.
Deputies converged on the area and were assisted in the search by Hillsboro Police Officer Denise Lemen-Sipp and her K-9 partner, Dozer. After a ten-minute search, K-9 Dozer found the suspect hiding approximately a block away. Anthony J. Stone, 35-years-old of Hillsboro, was safely taken into custody and charged with:
