DEATH INVESTIGATION - JACKSON COUNTY

On Wednesday, January 20, 2021 Oregon State Police Troopers responded to a call of a deceased person being found near milepost 12 on Interstate 5 in Jackson County.

OSP Major Crimes Detectives responded to conduct an investigation and were assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation determined there was no foul play and the male died of natural causes.

Investigators were able to determine the identity of the deceased as 73 year old James Earl Baldwin.

Baldwin had been reported missing on December 1, 2020 to the Roseburg Police Department.
