Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash on Century Drive

On February 4, 2021 at 11:45 am, Bend Police Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Century Drive and East Campbell Road for the report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries. They found a 2018 Dodge 2500 pickup that had been traveling west on Century Drive collided into the side of a 2010 Nissan Armada. The Nissan Armada was attempting to turn east onto Century Drive from East Campbell Road.

The Dodge was pulling a large trailer with equipment in the back of it. During the initial investigation, officers learned the driver and two passengers inside the Dodge pickup provided emergency medical care to the driver of the Nissan Armada immediately after the crash. All three occupants of the Dodge pickup are medically trained.

Bend Fire responded to the crash to assist in the investigation.

The driver of the Nissan Armada suffered fatal injuries due to the impact of the crash.

The driver of the Dodge pickup has cooperated with the investigation. At this time, investigators have ruled out speed and intoxication as factors in the crash.

Century Drive was closed for approximately three hours due to the crash and investigation. We want to thank the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, the Oregon Department of Transportation and the Bend Streets Department for their assistance with this investigation.
