FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH

On 02.02.2021 at approximately 6:00 PM Junction City Police Officers and Lane County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two vehicle crash on Cox Butte Road near Oaklea Drive.  A preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle driven by 20 year old Junction City resident Parker Post, was disabled in the road without appropriate hazard lighting.  The other involved motorist fatally struck Post and the disabled vehicle.  The surviving motorist cooperated with the investigation and at this point there is no indication criminal behavior contributed to the crash.
