Medford Police & FBI Looking for Missing 2-Year-Old after Parents Found Deceased

FBI - Oregon The Medford (Oregon) Police Department and the FBI are asking for the public’s help in locating a two-year old child after his parents were involved in an apparent murder-suicide in Montana. The non-married couple, Daniel Salcido and Hannah Janiak, were reported missing to the Medford Police Department on June 11, 2019. The couple had a child together, Aiden Salcido. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office investigated the couple for a burglary in 2018. The case resulted in criminal convictions, and Hannah was scheduled to begin serving her sentence at the Jackson County Jail on June 11, 2019. She did not show up for her sentencing. Investigators began looking through Hannah’s financial records and found the last activity was on June 3 and 4, 2019, when two purchases were made at the Walmart on Center Drive, Medford. Tip Leads to Arrest of Child Porn Suspect

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office On July 25th at approximately 10:20 am, deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office acted on a tip a man wanted for federal child pornography crimes was at a residence in the 11000 block of Silverton Rd NE.  As deputies arrived, they located a vehicle known to be driven by the suspect parked outside the home. With the assistance of a police K9, deputies searched the residence where they encountered multiple people inside.  The suspect, Shayne Mayberry, was found by Sheriff’s Office K9 “Zeke” hiding in the attic beneath a large pile of clothing.  Mayberry was seized by the K9 and was taken into custody by deputies. Shayne Mayberry, 32, was taken to a local hospital where he received treatment for minor injuries before being lodged at Marion County Jail.  Mayberry is currently being held on charges including; a US Marshall’s Hold, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Methamphetamine, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Failure to Carry and Present

Gresham Police Dept Gresham, Ore.— Gresham Police is looking for the suspect vehicle in a fatal hit and run. This morning at approximately 5:20 a.m., police responded to the report of a person down on the eastbound I-84 181st Ave. off-ramp. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult female that was deceased. It appeared that the female was struck by a vehicle. Based on evidence from the scene, police determined that the suspect vehicle is a dark blue 2011-2014 Volkswagen Jetta with significant front-end damage. Boxing Coach Arrested for Sex Abuse - More Victims Possible

Washington Co. Sheriff's Office On Tuesday, July 23, 2019, detectives from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Kaiwipaoaehikuonalani Amina on two counts of sexual abuse in the third degree.  Mr. Amina is accused of inappropriately touching two former students in January 2017. Mr. Amina is a coach and owner at Martial Masters Academy in Hillsboro where he came into contact with the two underage victims, both students at his academy.  The girls were both 17 or younger at the time of the abuse.  The incident happened at Mr. Amina’s previous apartment in the 18000 block of NW Cornell Road in Beaverton. Both victims reported that Mr. Amina touched them inappropriately while they were staying at his apartment after he and another adult provided them with alcohol. Sheriff's Office Looking for Information on Missing Mother and Toddler

Washington Co. Sheriff's Office The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is working to locate Nicole Marie Murphy, 32, and her two-year-old son Caiden. Both were last seen on Tuesday, July 23, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at an urgent care facility on NW 185th Avenue and NW Cornell Road in Hillsboro. Nicole Murphy is described as white, 4’11”, 115 lbs., with dirty blonde hair and green eyes. Caiden is 34 lbs. with longer, curly blonde hair and green eyes. Nicole was most recently staying at the Mountaindale Recovery Center in North Plains. There is no indication of foul play, but the family is concerned about the well-being of Nicole and her ability to care for Caiden.  She has not used her cell phone since she was reported missing and has no known financial means to travel. Anyone with information about Nicole or Caiden’s whereabouts is asked to call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 503-629-0111.

Double Fatal on Brush Creek Road

Linn County Sheriff's Office Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports his deputies are investigating a double-fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred yesterday near the address of 25710 Brush Creek Road, which is approximately one mile east of Crawfordsville. On Tuesday at about 6:17 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a report that two vehicles crashed and at least one person was unconscious and not breathing.  The investigation showed that a black 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, driven by Ty Kirkland, 23, was headed southbound on Brush Creek Road.  The passengers in the vehicle were Stormy Barge, 24, and her two children, Emma Pulido, 5, and Macy Pulido, 3, all of Sweet Home. The second vehicle, a green 1999 Jeep Wrangler driven by Brian McIntire, 29, of Sweet Home, was traveling northbound on Brush Creek Road when it left its lane of travel and collided with the Mitsubishi.  Stormy Barge was pronounced dead at the scene.  Emma Pulido was transported via ambulance and LifeFlight helic

Fatal Crash on Interstate-5 - Jackson County

Oregon State Police  On Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at approximately 1:45 A.M. Oregon State Police Troopers responded to a two vehicle crash on Interstate 5 (northbound lanes) near milepost 26.  Preliminary investigation indicates that a Honda Civic, operated by Tyler Nelson (25) of Medford, was stopped or traveling slow in the right hand lane for unknown reasons.  A Freightliner (commercial motor vehicle) with loaded trailer, operated by Baljinder Singh (45) of Roseville, CA. struck the Honda Civic in the rear of the vehicle pushing it off of the right side of the roadway.  Nelson sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Singh was not injured. The right lane of Interstate 5 northbound was closed for several hours following the crash.  OSP was assisted by Jackson County Sheriff's Office and ODOT.

Medford Man Jailed for Images of Child Abuse

Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office MEDFORD – Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) detectives arrested a Medford man Wednesday on charges related to possessing and sharing images of child sexual abuse.  The arrest caps a nine-month investigation that began with a cyber tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). In October 2018, the Oregon Department of Justice (DOJ) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigators notified JCSO detectives of a case involving online images of child abuse shared on Facebook.  The initial ICAC investigation revealed one of the participants was located in Jackson County.  Through their collaborative investigation, ICAC investigators and JCSO detectives identified the suspect as Derrick Christopher Estrada, 32, of the 700-block of Stevens Street.  Detectives served search warrants at Estrada’s home and a second Medford residence associated with Estrada.  Detectives were further assisted by investigators with the Orego

Large Multi Drug Seizure

Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) On Monday, July 22nd, 2019, detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) served a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of SE Pine Street in Roseburg.   The search revealed approximately 1141 grams (2.5 lbs) of methamphetamine, 639 grams (1.4 lbs) of heroin, 30 grams of cocaine, and 7 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.  In addition to the various drugs, detectives found firearms, cash, and other evidence of drug related crimes.  This is a huge amount of meth and heroin, usually possessed only by very high level dealers. At the scene, detectives located 47 year old Galen Trigg of Portland, Oregon.  Trigg had a warrant for his arrest from the United States Marshal's Service.  In addition to being held on the warrant for the US Marshal's Service, Trigg was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on the following charges: Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine Unlawful Posse

Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety On July 16th, 2019 at about 8:00 PM, Grants Pass Department of Public Safety Police and Fire Rescue responded to 754 NW 2nd St in regards to a small travel trailer on fire in the driveway. The first units arrived less than three minutes after the initial call to find the trailer fully involved and smoke visible from several blocks away. The fire was quickly extinguished by GPDPS Fire Rescue with only the trailer being destroyed and no injuries reported.  Witness statements described a female leaving the trailer prior to the 911 call. Officers checking the area located Elise Degraffenreid nearby. Elise was known to frequent the location. GPDPS Major Crimes Detectives and Fire Marshall responded and conducted an investigation. Upon completion of their investigation, Elise was lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Arson 2 and Tampering with Evidence. The total value of the damage to the trailer has yet to be determined. Motorcyclist dies in crash on Hwy 101 - Coos County

Oregon State Police  On Monday, July 15, 2019 at approximately 10:30 P.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 101 near milepost 279. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2003 Yamaha Motorcycle, operated by Robert Killough (52) of Bandon, OR. was traveling south on Hwy 101 when it left the roadway and crashed. Killough sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. Oregon State Police was assisted by the Coos County Sheriff's Department, Bandon Police Department, Bandon Fire Department, Bay Cities Ambulance, and ODOT.

Man Dies in Single Vehicle Crash

Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office CENTRAL POINT – A Medford man died Sunday evening after crashing his car into a pole.  Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies believe alcohol use likely contributed to the incident.   On July 14, 2019, at 8:23 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call reporting a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Table Rock Road and East Gregory Road.  The caller reported a gold Ford Escape had crashed into a pole; the driver and sole occupant was unconscious and bleeding.   Bystanders trained in CPR attempted to resuscitate the driver.  Deputies and personnel from Fire District 3 and Mercy Flights responded to the scene.  The driver, identified as 68-year-old Jud Allen Dikes of Medford, died at the scene.  Deputies determined Dikes had been driving southbound on Table Rock Road when his vehicle veered across the oncoming lanes for unknown reasons.  The small SUV struck a traffic signal pole at the southeast corner of the intersection with East Gregory R

Oregon State Police investigating theft of trailer.- Douglas County

Oregon State Police  Oregon State Police is investigating the theft of an enclosed utility trailer which contained about $30,000 worth of striping equipment and materials.  On July 2, 2019 the victim was driving south on I-5 in south Douglas County when he experienced a flat tire.  He left the trailer and returned on July 3 and the trailer was missing.  It appears the trailer was driven with a flat tire and the tire marks lead to the Glendale area. Gresham Police Make Arrest Involving Injury Hit and Run

Gresham Police Dept Gresham, Ore.— Gresham Police arrested the driver in a hit and run that caused serious injuries to the vehicle’s passenger. This morning at 2:12 a.m., police responded to the report of a disoriented female stating she was injured and trapped inside a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle on NE Wilkes Rd. just east of NE 181st Ave. The adult female was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. The driver had fled from the vehicle. At 3:23 a.m., a driver was flagged down by a male at NE 162nd Ave. and NE Russell St. The male was bleeding from the head and claimed that he was the backseat passenger of the vehicle. The male, later identified as 19-year-old Julio Bautista Montella of Portland, was transported to the hospital to be treated for his head injuries. Further investigation revealed that there were no other people in the vehicle and Bautista Montella was the driver. After being released fr

Toddler dies after being struck by vehicle

Lincoln Co. Sheriff's Office   On July 14, 2019 at about 9:46 PM emergency personnel from North Lincoln Fire and Rescue, Pacific West Ambulance, and the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence in Otis, Oregon regarding a 15-month old toddler struck by a vehicle at the residence.  The preliminary investigation has revealed Thomas Bartlett, 51, of Otis, Oregon was backing his 2000 Ford pick-up in the driveway of the residence to park when his 15-month old toddler was stuck by the pick-up.   Lifesaving measures immediately began, and the toddler was transported to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital. At approximately 11:50 PM the toddler was pronounced deceased at the hospital.  The family is cooperating with the investigation and there does not appear to be any criminal charges pending as a result of this tragic incident.

Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety Over the past week, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety has been searching for missing resident Charles Levin. Grants Pass DPS has been assisted by the Josephine County Sheriff 's (Search and Rescue) and the Oregon State Police. On Friday, July 12th Josephine County Search and Rescue was able to narrow down a search area based on an emergency cellular phone ping requested by GPDPS.  Josephine County Search and Rescue, Grants Pass DPS, and an air asset from the Oregon State Police spent most of the day searching a remote area northeast of Selma.  Charles was not located on Friday however, Search and Rescue continued their efforts on Saturday in the same general area.  At about 8:00 PM  on Saturday, a local Illinois Valley resident located Charles Levin's car in a very remote and almost impassible road. Bridge Rescue Saves Albany Resident

Albany Fire Dept. On Thursday, July 11, 2019, at approximately 12:44 a.m., the Albany Police received a 911 emergency call from a citizen reporting a female screaming beneath the Bryant Way Bridge in the 800 block of SW Bryant Way.  The citizen reported a female was hanging on a sign beneath the bridge, over the Calapooia River. At 12:51 a.m., Albany Police Department and Albany Fire Department responded to the scene. Albany police engaged the distraught female in conversation for approximately 1 hour while Albany Fire Department personnel conducted a technical rescue.  The distraught female, a 47-year old Albany resident, was hanging over the Calapooia River by two braided metal cables and a metal spillway sign.  The sign was suspended approximately 50-60 feet above the waterway.   A fall from this height could have been fatal due to low river levels and large rocks directly below her.  Albany Fire’s Water Rescue Craft was deployed to the Willamette and Calapooia rivers whil

Railroad tie fire in Green

Douglas Co. Fire Dist. No.2 At 23:27 Wednesday night Douglas County Fire District No. 2 was dispatched to a reported Railroad tie fire in the Green district, the 911 dispatched center received multiple calls saying the fire was 50 feet in the air. The first arriving DCFD 2 fire crew arrived on scene and reported approximately a 30 foot by 30 foot pile of railroad ties on fire with flames getting into the above power lines and requested more resources. Crews were able to contain and knock down the fire but remained on scene for several hours cooling off hot spots within the pile. Several communications lines were damaged from the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. DCFD2 responded with 2 fire engines and 1 command unit. Winston Dillard Fire District responded with 1 water tender. They were assisted by DCSO, Pacific Power, and DFN.

STABBING INVESTIGATION

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office ROSEBURG, Ore . - Detectives are investigating a stabbing which took place on Wednesday night at a transient camp known as "Freedom Camp" in the 1800-block of Mill Street. Dispatchers received a call reporting the incident at 11:29 PM. Deputies and Officers from Roseburg Police Department responded to the location and found 28 year-old Nathaniel Wayne Creveston suffering from a stab wound. Deputies and Officers provided medical care to Creveston until an ambulance arrived and transported him to Mercy Medical Center. He was later transferred to an undisclosed hospital for further care.  The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office Investigations Division at 541-440-4458.  19-3141

Fatal Traffic Crash Investigation

DILLARD, Ore.  – Deputies are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Monday night in the 12000-block of Old Highway 99 South. At 11:03 PM, dispatchers received a report of a two vehicle crash with one vehicle on fire. When deputies arrived, they learned a 2004 BMW 32I, operated by 19 year-old Owen A. Sinsaeng of Myrtle Creek, had collided with a 2002 Honda Accord driven by 28 year-old Brianna L. Yates of Winston. The BMW had caught fire and one passenger, 18 year-old Blake M. Smith of Myrtle Creek died at the scene. Yates, Sinsaeng and his two additional passengers, 20 year-old Riddle resident Andrew R. Armenta and 19 year-old Edward A Tellez of Myrtle Creek were transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. Tellez was later transferred to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland for additional care. The crash is still under investigation. Roseburg Landfill fire

Douglas Co. Fire Dist. No.2 At 1:38 pm Sunday afternoon Douglas County Fire District No.2 was dispatched to a reported unknown type fire in the area of the Roseburg landfill.  The first DCFD2 fire crew arrived in the area and determined the fire was burning in garbage on the upper portion of the landfill and was approximately a quarter acre in size. Crews were able to quickly knock down and contain the fire to the landfill and prevented the spread to nearby hill sides. The fire was reported by multiple passerby’s on I-5 seeing black smoke coming from the area behind the dump. DCFD2 responded to this incident with 1 brush rig, 1 fire engine, 1 water tender, and 1 command unit. They were assisted by DFPA, Douglas County Public works, and Douglas County sheriff’s office.

Minor Injuries from Plane Crash near Newport

Oregon State Police On July 8, 2019 at 5:10 PM, Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a plane crash on the beach near South Beach State Park. The pilot and his two passengers were transported to the local hospital with minor injuries.  The Oregon State Police is continuing with the investigation and more information will be released as soon as possible.

Missing Person Recovery

Josephine Co. Sheriff's Office On July 2nd, 2019 at approximately 3:42 pm, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 700 block of Schroeder Lane for a missing person report. The grandmother of Angelo Cornoni reported he left her residence on July 2nd, 2019 at approximately 1:00 am and had not been seen since. Efforts to locate Cornoni by patrol, the marine deputy, and search and rescue were unsuccessful.  On July 6th, 2019 at approximately 2:05 pm, Fire personnel and deputies responded to Schroeder Park after receiving a 9-1-1 call about a possible deceased human body in the Rogue River.  After a brief search, Angelo’s body was located by the deputies about 20’ from shore. He was pulled from the water and positively identified by the deputy investigating the initial case. Next of kin was notified.   The case has been referred to the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Officer for review/investigation.

Single Vehicle Fatal Crash on Hwy 26 - Warm Springs

Oregon State Police On Saturday, July 6, 2019, at approximately 5:30 P.M. Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy 26 near milepost 81 in Wasco County. Preliminary investigation revealed that a white 2006 Ford F-350 pickup, operated by Calvin D. Craig (79) of Ridgefield, WA. was traveling eastbound on Hwy 26 when for unknown reasons the pickup left the roadway and rolled. Craig sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two passengers, identified as Jenny Craig (76) of Ridgefield, WA. and Edward Totland (55) of Tacoma, WA. were transported via ground ambulance to St. Charles Madras. Both lanes of Hwy 26 were closed for several hours following the crash. The Oregon State Police were assisted by Warm Springs Police Department, Warm Springs Fire and Rescue and ODOT.

Detectives Investigate Shooting, Crash

Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office WHITE CITY, Ore. – One man is in jail and another is recovering after a shooting at a White City mobile home park early Friday morning.  Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) detectives say the incident, which may be gang-related, also involved a hit-and-run crash several blocks away. Detectives believe the incident began around midnight on July 5, 2019, with a verbal altercation at a playground at the corner of 25th Street and Avenue C, at the rear of the mobile home park at 3265 Antelope Road.  Detectives say a 34-year-old woman left the area in a red Honda Civic, chased by a black Ford Fusion.  The black car crashed into the back of the red car near the intersection of Division Road and Falcon Street.  At 12:37 a.m., dispatch received a 911 call reporting the crash.  The black car left the scene and was later found parked a short distance away on Ajax Street.  The occupants of the black car left the scene before deputies arrived.  Detectiv

Oregon State Police  On Friday, July 5, 2019, the Oregon State Police arrested 36 year old Daniel James Burda for the death of Dennis Day. This investigation was worked cooperatively with the Jackson County District Attorney’s office. Burda was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on the following charges: Manslaughter II Criminally Negligent Homicide Abuse of a Corpse II Criminal Mistreatment Identity Theft This is still an active investigation and there will be no further comment at this time. Below is a timeline of significant events in the Dennis Day investigation. On July 13, 2018, the Phoenix Police Department and Jackson County Fire District #5 responded to the residence at 510 Pine St. Phoenix, on a medical call.  Henry (aka: Ernie) Caswell (Day’s Husband) had fallen several times. Oregon State Police  On Friday, July 5, 2019 at about 12:04 A.M. Oregon State Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Dick George Road near Cave Junction. The preliminary investigation revealed that a red Honda Civic was traveling on Dick George Road when for unknown reasons left the roadway and rolled several times.  The three occupants, none believed to be wearing seat belts, were all ejected.  Occupants are identified as: Roman Duncan (21) of Cave Junction sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. Makenzie Holmes (21) of Cave Junction was transported with serious injuries. Thomas Pitts (19) of Grants Pass was transported with serious injuries. Oregon State Police was assisted by Illinois Valley Fire Department, AMR, and Mercy Flights.

4th of July structure fire in Grants Pass

Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, Fire Rescue Division responded to a single story residential structure fire at 365 Short Street. The first arriving crews found fire on the backside of the structure making its way into the attic space. The crews quickly deployed hose lines to knock the exterior fire down and transition to the inside for a primary and secondary search and gain access to the attic space. The quick action of the firefighters kept the fire from advancing throughout the attic. Fire crews salvaged interior contents to attempt to save as much property as possible. GPFR was assisted by Rural Metro Fire Department, GPPD and American Medical Response. The fire was mopped up and is under investigation. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.  Grants Pass Fire Rescue would like to remind everyone to have a working smoke alarm in your home. Woman Rescued From South Sister Trail

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office On 07/04/19, at about 1:08pm, 9-1-1 Dispatch received a report from Brian Gray, that his wife, Jennifer Gray, had just sustained a non-life threatening injury while hiking on the South Sister trail.  The Gray's were at approximately 8,100' elevation, where the injury occurred.  Mrs. Gray was unable to hike any further.  Other hikers in the area stopped to assist the couple until rescuers arrived. Two Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Deputies and 14 DCSO Search and Rescue Volunteers responded to assist.  Two DCSO SAR Volunteers responded to AirLink, who was able to assist with getting SAR Volunteers into the area of the injured subject faster.  Four DCSO SAR Volunteers responded to the Mt. Bachelor parking lot in case they needed to be shuttled up the mountain as well.  Six DCSO SAR Volunteers responded to the Devil's Lake trailhead and began hiking up the South Sister trail to the injured subject. UPDATE - Man dies in mowing accident on Hwy 42 - Douglas County

Oregon State Police  The deceased has been identified as Keith Ericson (49) with last known addresses in Rapid City, SD and Santa Monica, CA. On Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at approximately 9:15 A.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a medical call on Hwy 42 near milepost 59. Preliminary investigation revealed an ODOT employee was mowing adjacent to the eastbound shoulder and hit an adult male that is believed to have been sleeping in the grass. ODOT employees immediately called for Emergency Medical Services and attempted first aid. The adult male sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. The name will not be released until OSP can confirm next of kin has been notified. Oregon State Police was assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Tenmile Fire Department and Douglas County Fire District 2.

Rondrae Devante Jefferson Convicted of Rape in Case Involving Multiple Victims

Washington Co. District Attorney's Office HILLSBORO, Ore.- On June 28th, 2019, a Washington County jury found Rondrae Devante Jefferson guilty of all charges brought against him. He was convicted of first-degree forcible rape, three counts of second-degree sex abuse and third-degree rape. The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Chris Lewman in Judge Andrew Erwin’s courtroom. Beaverton Police began investigating Jefferson in November of 2017 when one of his three known victims reported he raped her. During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered two additional victims who all reported similar attacks at the hands of Jefferson. In all three cases, Jefferson met his victims through social media and arranged to meet in person. The first known attack took place in 2015. The victim in that case was only 16-years-old when Jefferson met her and invited her to a party. In this case, Jefferson violently assaulted her before he began to rape her. The victim

Man Arrested After Climbing Into Girl's Bedroom Window

Sheriff's Office On Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a man entering a 7-year-old girl’s bedroom window at the CourtYards at Springville apartments. This is in the 17000 block of NW Springville Road in the Bethany area of unincorporated Washington County. The father of the girl woke up to the sounds of his daughter screaming. When he arrived to her bedroom, he saw a man crawling out of her window. The father ran out the front door and saw the man running away. The man was wet and appeared to have just left a nearby hot tub. Responding deputies located a wallet on a plastic chair near the hot tub and were able to identify its owner as 30-year-old Kord Knudsen, also a resident of the apartment complex. Several articles of his clothing were also found along the way. Mr. Knudsen admitted to having alcohol and marijuana prior to the incident. Mr. Knudsen was arrested on c

Stabbing Suspect Arrested

Medford Police Dept. On 070119, at approximately 1848 hrs, the Medford Police Department responded to a stabbing at Hawthorne Park.  The victim was located in the park with a stab wound to the abdomen.  The suspect was chased by witnesses from the scene and threw the involved knife into Bear Creek.  Witnesses were able to detain the suspect until police arrived.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where they underwent surgery for their injuries.  Medford Police Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation.  The suspect was lodged at the Jackson County Jail.  The case is still being investigated at this time.  SUSPECT: Harper, Marcus D.  – 26 years old Assault II Unlawful Use of a Weapon Tampering with Evidence Total Bail: $112,500
