Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety On 10/12/19, at about 0635 hours, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (GPDPS) 911 Dispatch received a report of an assault in front of the 7/11 store, located at 790 SW 6th Street. It was mentioned a (36 year-old) female had been punched by a male and a cell phone was stolen. As GPDPS police units were responding, dispatch advised the male suspect had brandished a knife and made threats to stab the female after chasing her. The male suspect fled the area on foot in an eastbound direction. Police units arrived and set a perimeter in the last known area for the fleeing male suspect. He was quickly located and ran from officers to the area of SE 8th and SE M Streets. He was placed in custody without incident after being challenged by police officers. SAR Ramps Up Search for Missing Woman

Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office BUTTE FALLS, Ore. — Reinforcements have arrived from regional search and rescue (SAR) organizations to assist in the search for a missing woman with dementia. Geraldine “Gerry” Hendricks, 80, was reported missing from her home on Saturday evening.  On October 12, 2019, at 6:44 p.m., dispatch received a call from Hendricks’ family in the 4400-block of Obenchain Road. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies and search and rescue personnel responded to initiate the search. SAR personnel, including canine teams, searched through the night, but were hampered by darkness and terrain.  Additional resources were deployed at daylight Sunday, ramping up the search effort. Hendricks is described as 5’2”, 100 lbs., with short dark gray hair. Pair of Car Thieves Lock Themselves Out of Stolen Car, Get Caught

Sheriff's Office On Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at approximately 12:42 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a suspicious circumstances call in the parking lot of the QFC grocery store located at 7525 SW Barnes Road.  A caller to 9-1-1 reported seeing two men climbing on top of a black Toyota Corolla with a crowbar and wooden plank trying to open the door. Deputies contacted the two men identified as 29-year-old Omar Velazquez of Vancouver and 25-year-old Kenneth Hayden of Aloha.  The men claimed the car they were trying to break into belonged to another friend’s girlfriend and they had locked the keys inside. Further investigation revealed that the Toyota was stolen the day before from a Cold Stone Creamery on NW 185th Avenue in Hillsboro.  Two men, one who was later identified as Mr. Hayden, entered the ice cream shop and ordered ice cream cones, but didn’t have the money to pay.  The employee at the store later noticed her ke

Portland Police Bureau On Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 10:38 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to eastbound I-84 at the I-205 off ramp on the report of a pedestrian being struck by a car. Officers arrived on scene and found the pedestrian suffering from life threatening injuries. It appears the pedestrian's car had broken down earlier and was walking away from the disabled car. The pedestrian was transported to a local area hospital and is currently in an ICU. The driver of the vehicle, 29-year-old Emmanuel Gonzalez-coria (Gonzalez-Coria), remained on scene and was ultimately arrested and lodged into the Multnomah County Detention Center on one count each of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and assault in the second degree. Residential Structure Fire - 1615 NW Utah Street - 10-7-19

Roseburg Fire Dept. At 7:49 p.m. on October 7, 2019, Roseburg Fire Department personnel responded to a reported structure fire at 1615 NW Utah Street.   Upon arrival on scene, firefighters found a two story residential structure with smoke showing from the second story of the home.  All residents and the family service dog had exited the structure prior to firefighters arriving on scene.  Two adult residents, four children, and the family service dog were all displaced; however, no one was injured in the fire.  The American Red Cross is assisting the family that was displaced. When firefighters entered the home, they located and extinguished a fire in the attic of the structure.Firefighters checked the residence for any extension of fire, ventilated the residence, and completed overhaul.  A fire investigator was on scene and investigating the cause of the fire.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.  The structure, which is valued at $200,000, suffered approximately $60,0

Armed Drug Dealer Arrested By GVRT in Lloyd District

Portland Police Bureau Officers in the Gun Violence Reduction Team (GVRT) working proactive patrol in the Lloyd District Neighborhood arrested a suspect with guns, large quantities of drugs, and cash. On Friday, October 4, 2019 at 6:30 p.m., GVRT officers were patrolling near Holladay Park when they conducted a traffic stop at Northeast 12th Avenue and Northeast Lloyd Boulevard. The officers discovered the driver, Noah J. Goldman, 37, of Portland, was in possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested. A search of the vehicle, and later Goldman's residence, yielded meth, heroin, cash, and two guns. Goldman was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of Delivery of Methamphetamine near a School, Delivery of Heroin Near a School, Possession of Methamphetamine Near a School, Possession of Heroin Near a School, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Male at Grocery Outlet Attempts to get into Vehicle with Children Inside-Redmond, OR

Redmond Police Dept. On October 6, 2019, at approximately 5:35 pm, officers with the Redmond Police Department responded to an altercation at Grocery Outlet in Redmond, Oregon.  A father with two children, had started his vehicle and seat belted his 4-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter in the rear seat.  While standing at the driver’s side of his vehicle he noticed a suspicious male, later identified as Redmond, Oregon, transient 34-year-old Jeremy Dubisar, near his vehicle watching what he was doing.  He asked the suspicious male if he needed something and he responded that he did not.  The alert father locked his vehicle and walked to the rear passenger door of his vehicle to check on his 3-year-old daughter.  While attempting to check on his daughter, Mr. Dubisar attempted to open the driver’s door of the vehicle.  By first locking the vehicle the father’s actions prevented Mr. Dubisar from entering and stealing his vehicle with his children inside.  After being confronted

Single Vehicle Fatal Crash on Hwy 99 - Jackson County

Oregon State Police  On Saturday, October 5, 2019 at approximately 5:47 A.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy 99 milepost 10.5 near Phoenix, OR. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2002 Mazda, operated by Dakota Arthur (23) of Medford, was northbound at a high rate of speed when it slid sideways into a power pole. Arthur sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. The passenger, Danielle Ramirez (24) of Medford, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. OSP was assisted by Phoenix Police Department, Talent Police Department, Medford Fire Department, and ODOT.

Bend Man Arrested For Uploading Child Pornography

Bend Police Dept. On September 9, 2019 the Bend Police Department received a tip from ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force in Salem. The tip was in reference to an unknown individual in Bend that was uploading child pornography. Detectives with the Bend Police Department began an investigation and learned the location that the child pornography was being uploaded from and possible suspect information. On October 3, 2019 at 10:00 hours, officers and detectives with the Bend Police Department executed a search warrant at 664 NE Shirley Court in Bend where they contacted Joshua Zachary Campbell. Campbell was the lone occupant at the residence. Evidence was located and seized from the residence. Campbell was taken into custody and transported to the Deschutes County Jail where he was booked on the below listed charges. Ronald Bruce Jordan Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison in Child Sex Abuse Case

Washington Co. District Attorney's Office HILLSBORO, Ore.- On October 2, 2019, Judge Danielle Hunsaker sentenced Ronald Bruce Jordan to ten years in prison (120 months). Mr. Jordan previously pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree sex abuse in a case prosecuted by Senior Deputy District Attorney Allison Brown. Forest Grove Police Detective Darren Pomeroy began investigating Mr. Jordan in February of 2019 after the teenage victim made a disclosure of abuse. She reported that Mr. Jordan began sexually abusing her when she was a young child and that the abuse continued for many years in multiple jurisdictions including areas of Washington County. Mr. Jordan was known to the victim. The victim eventually confronted Mr. Jordan. He admitted to treating her inappropriately and said he was ashamed and sorry for the way he acted. PEDESTRIAN INJURED DURING VEHICLE COLLISION

Roseburg Police Dept. On Thursday morning just after 0230 hours, Roseburg Police Officers responded to the report of a male lying in the roadway in the 1300 block of NE Stephens.  18 year old Roseburg resident, Isaiah Freeman was found with numerous injuries, which were determined to be caused when he was struck by a passing vehicle.  Freeman was transported to Mercy via ambulance where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.  Freeman is expected to make a full recovery. A person of interest was identified in this incident and they were later contacted by Officers.  During the investigation a vehicle was seized for proccessing for potential evidence from the accident.  The investigation is ongoing.

Sisters Man Arrested After Hemp Farm Theft

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office On October 1st, 2019, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a theft of industrial hemp from a farm in the 66000 block of Gist Rd, in an unincorporated area of Sisters, Oregon. The farmer reported finding a substantial amount of industrial hemp cut down and missing from his field. The cannabis crop comes in many different strains, or varietals. Many of those are bred into Marijuana and have high levels of THC, the psychoactive compound that causes impairment. Industrial hemp is not one of these; legally, industrial hemp is only permitted to have 0.3 percent THC at most. Although industrial hemp looks and smells like marijuana, the hemp plant is used for production of CDB oil and other industrial uses. DCSO Deputies conducted an investigation and identified 20 year old, Noah Gabriel Kirshner, of Sisters, Oregon, as the suspect in the crop theft. Large Takedown Targets Mexican Drug Trafficking Organization Operating in Oregon

U.S. Attorney's Office - District of Oregon PORTLAND, Ore.—A coordinated, multi-agency law enforcement operation was conducted today to dismantle a vast international drug trafficking organization that conspired to distribute methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine manufactured in Mexico throughout the Portland Metropolitan Area, announced Billy J. Williams, U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon. Federal search warrants were executed at 13 locations throughout the Portland area. Roseburg Man Wanted by Law Enforcement Arrested

Sheriff's Office ROSEBURG, Ore.  - A Roseburg man who ran from law enforcement officers this afternoon is wanted by Winston Police Department.  32 year-old Michael Andrew Cordz is wanted in connection to the burglary of his ex-girlfriend's residence. Cordz has been making threats toward the female and is believed to be armed.  On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 10:55 am, deputies were called to a suspicious vehicle in the 5500-block of Roberts Creek Road. Deputies, along with officers from Winston Police Department, responded to the area and determined the vehicle belonged to Cordz. Cordz was in the vehicle and fled on foot from officers.  Deputies activated the reverse 9-1-1 system to notify area residents, who were asked to shelter in place and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.  Despite an extensive search of the area by multiple law enforcement officers, Cordz was unable to be found. Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety On 9/28/19 at about 1217 Hours, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (GPDPS) Dispatch Center, received multiple 911 calls of a neighbor purposely flooding her two-story apartment. The apartment complex is located at 1100 Fruitdale Drive, in Grants Pass. Two apartments, one on each side of the flooding apartment had water coming through the walls and floor. The suspect who was flooding her apartment was known as Jennifer Richardson (39 years old). The GPDPS already had probable cause to arrest Richardson from an incident a few days prior of criminal mischief to a neighbor's vehicle. Multiple GPDPS police units responded to the scene. Richardson has made threats to assault officers and the public. It was well known an aggressive pitbull was in the apartment with Richardson who has also made threats to have the pitbull attack others. Busy Thursday Night for K9 Grim

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office K9 Grim assisted deputies twice in one night with the apprehension of two suspects.  Shortly before 5:00 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2019, deputies received a tip that 23 year-old Christopher Binder of Glide had been spotted in the 200-block of Brown Street in Glide and had multiple active warrants for his arrest. Deputies and Oregon State Police Troopers arrived on scene along with K9 Grim. Grim began to track Binder from where he was last seen and eventually located him along the riverbank. Binder surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.  Binder was transported to the Douglas County Jail where he was lodged on the multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants.  Around 8:30 pm that same evening, deputies were called to a residence in the 8000-block of Highway 42 in Tenmile for a report of a male hiding in a residence who was violating a restraining order. TWO VEHICLE FATAL CRASH ON HWY 99 - JOSEPHINE COUNTY

Oregon State Police On Friday, September 27, 2019 at about 7:16 P.M. Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two vehicle head on crash on Hwy 99 near mile post 3. Preliminary investigation revealed that a gray 2003 Audi, operated by Freddie Tillett (46) of Grants Pass, was traveling southbound on Hwy 99. Tillett was reported to be driving recklessly, crossed into oncoming traffic, and collided head on with a northbound 2013 Nissan sedan operated by Brenda Reinert (39) of Grants Pass. Reinert was transported to the hospital were she was pronouced deceased. Tillett was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. OSP was assisted by Rural Metro and American Medical Response (AMR).

Officers Arrest Woman Chasing School Kids From Bus Stop

Portland Police Bureau On Friday, September 27, 2019 at 7:54a.m., East Precinct officers responded to a report of a woman chasing young people away from their school bus stop in the area of Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast Boise Street. Two officers working a partner car were in the area as the call was being dispatched and saw the suspect. They attempted to talked to her. She briefly ran from them but was quickly arrested. Officers determined that she had a barbecue-style lighter with which she had been chasing the children. Officers spoke with more than one student, but they believe other kids were chased away before they arrived. The young people were middle-school aged. There were no reported injuries. Officers arrested Maryann R. Vernieri (photo), 31, of Portland. She was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on a charge of Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree.

Man Arrested for Shooting at Hemp Farm

Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office ROGUE RIVER, Ore. – Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies are investigating a shooting at a hemp farm just before noon on Friday.  One man is in custody and another is recovering from a single gunshot wound to the arm. On September 27, 2019, at 11:58 a.m., dispatch received a 911 call reporting a shooting at a property in the 1200-block of Pine Grove Road, north of the city of Rogue River.  The caller reported that two people had been shot and were already on their way to the hospital in a private vehicle.  The suspect, identified as Jeremy Odell O’Patchen, 34, had fled on foot toward his residence in the 500-block of Minthorne Road. Responding deputies confirmed that only one person had been shot.  Russell Anthony Clark, 55, of Talent, received a gunshot wound to the arm that did not appear to be life-threatening.  Deputies attempted to locate O’Patchen with assistance from personnel from the Rogue River Police Department and Oreg

Single vehicle fatal crash on Rockydale Rd. - Josephine County

Oregon State Police On Friday, September 27, 2019 at approximately 1:31 A.M. Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Rockydale Rd. at the intersection with Waldo Rd. in Josephine County. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2016 Subaru was eastbound on Rockydale Rd. when it crossed over Waldo Rd and collided with an embankment   A passerby removed the driver and passenger from the vehicle prior to it becoming fully engulfed. The operator sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. The passenger, Jameson Eckert (31) of Cave Junction, was transported to Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass with serious injuries. The operator of the Subaru was Benjamin Upshaw (30) from Corpus Christi, TX.  OSP was assisted by Illinois Valley Fire, AMR Ambulance, and Oregon Department of Forestry.

FATAL CRASH INTERSTATE 5 NEAR MYRTLE CREEK -- DOUGLAS COUNTY

Oregon State Police Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into this morning’s fatal vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Interstate 5 near Myrtle Creek.  On September 27, 2019 at about 6:10 AM, OSP troopers and emergency personnel responded to a Toyota Prius that was stopped for unknown reasons in the northbound left lane of Interstate 5 near milepost 112.  Upon arrival of an OSP trooper and emergency personnel, the operator of the Toyota Prius, Balras Singh DHILLON (Male), age 35, from Lincoln, CA drove away northbound.  DHILLON drove the Toyota Prius about a mile before crashing into the northbound center median guardrail and coming to rest on the outside shoulder of the freeway.  After the crash, DHILLON exited his vehicle and for unknown reasons walked across the northbound lanes of traffic and down the center median.  DHILLON continued walking towards the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 and walked into the side of a southbound Jeep Cherokee. HAYDEN LANDRY DAVIS SENTENCED FOR ROLE IN ATTEMPTED BURGLARY AND THE ASSAULT OF A PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER

Washington Co. District Attorney's Office HILLSBORO, Ore.- On September 17, 2019, Hayden Landry Davis pleaded guilty to assaulting a public safety officer. On September 19, 2019, a Washington County jury found Mr. Davis guilty of first-degree attempted burglary and second-degree criminal mischief. As a result of these convictions, Judge Andrew Erwin determined Mr. Davis violated the terms of his probation he was serving for previous convictions. On September 25, 2019, Mr. Davis was sentenced to a combined 74 months in prison by Judge Erwin. The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Jason Ring. On February 20, 2019, a Beaverton resident was home with his young child when he heard someone ring his doorbell twice. He didn’t answer the door. Moments later he heard a loud crashing sound. He ran to the back door and observed Mr. Davis attempting to break in to his home. Mr. Davis used a hammer to smash out a sliding glass door and was prepared to make entry when the resident

Two vehicle fatal crash on Hwy 58 at the I-5 interchange - Lane County

Oregon State Police  On Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at approximately 3:44 P.M. Oregon State Police troopers and emergency personnel responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on Hwy 58 at the Interstate 5 interchange in Goshen.  Preliminary investigation revealed a gray 1988 Jeep Cherokee, operated by a 17 year old male from Creswell, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 58 and turned in front of a CMV to access the on-ramp for I-5 northbound.  The Jeep was struck on the passenger side.  The passenger, Aidan O’Grady (18) of Eugene, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.  The driver of the CMV, Gokhan Yurtsever (34) of Chicago, Illinois, was not injured in the collision. OSP was assisted by ODOT and Pleasant Hill – Goshen Fire and Rescue.

Deputies Capture Wanted Man after Pursuit

Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office WHITE CITY, Ore. – A man wanted on federal charges is now in jail after leading Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies on a pursuit.  At one point, a deputy had to drive his patrol vehicle into a ditch to avoid a collision with the suspect. On September 24, 2019, at 12:08 a.m., a deputy tried to stop a lifted black Ford F-350 pickup for multiple traffic violations in White City.  The vehicle fled south on Highway 62, then turned toward the Corey Road area.  The vehicle turned onto McLoughlin Drive and then continued through the intersection with East Vilas Road without stopping.  The pickup crashed into a tree and caused significant damage to the orchard.  The suspect was able to free the vehicle and flee the crash scene, forcing an incoming JCSO vehicle to drive into a ditch to avoid a collision. Woman Shoots and Kills Estranged Husband During Argument

Sheriff's Office On Monday, September 23, 2019, at approximately 1:11 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call where a woman called to report she had shot her husband.  Sheriff’s deputies quickly arrived at the 20-acre farm property in the 16800 block of NW Germantown Road.  This is in the Bethany area of unincorporated Washington County.  Deputies and personnel from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue performed life-saving measures on the man, but he died at the scene. The initial investigation indicates there was an argument of some kind between a man and a woman that ultimately ended in gunfire. There is no danger to the public. Investigators obtained and executed multiple search warrants.  Members of the Forensics Unit worked late into the night processing the crime scene and collecting evidence. K9 NIKE CATCHES 2ND VEHICLE PURSUIT SUSPECT IN THE LAST 4 DAYS

Roseburg Police Dept. On Monday, September 23rd around 0600 hours, K9 Nike was called out to assist the Myrtle Creek Police Department with tracking a vehicle pursuit suspect. Matthew Bay fled from the police and then crashed the vehicle he was driving, on a mountain road. Bay ran from the crash and down a very steep mountain that was choked with fallen trees. A Myrtle Creek and Winston Police Officer chased Bay until they could not see him anymore, and then they stopped chasing. They were able to point out where Bay was last seen, and K9 Nike began to track. Bay was given multiple  warnings, telling him to surrender, but he did not. Two Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office went with K9 Nike on the track. K9 Nike tracked Bay down the mountain nearly to a creek, and found Bay hiding behind a root wad. Medford Police Dept. On September 22nd, 2019 at 9:40 a.m., Medford Police received a call of suicidal male, who resides at 162 Seroba Circle. The caller was a concerned relative of the 55 year old male, who had provided the caller information that he wanted to harm himself.  The initial investigation indicates the following occurred: Officers arrived on scene and found no answer at the door, and no answer on the subject's cell phone. Officers located a blood trail towards the back of the residence and made the decision to force entry. Medford Fire and Rescue responded and assisted with breaching the door. Sheriff's Office GRANTS PASS, Ore. – A man is in jail on multiple charges related to an attack on his family members in their home Friday night.  Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) detectives say David Edward Hodges, 57, shot and killed his father-in-law and seriously injured his wife and his step-daughter.  On September 20, 2019, at 10:36 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call reporting a shooting at a residence in the 7000-block of Rogue River Highway.  The caller, later identified as the suspect’s wife, Kristie Hodges, 40, reported an assault with a firearm.  Gunshots could be heard in the background of the call before it disconnected. Deputies responded to the location along with personnel from the Rogue River Police Department, Rogue River Fire, and Mercy Flights.  Deputies called for the suspect to exit.  When nobody came outside, deputies entered and found the body of Richard Carlton Rudolph, 64, with apparent gunshot and stab wounds.  Deputies learned t

OREGON STATE POLICE CHECK SUSPICIOUS OBJECT

Roseburg Police Dept. On Friday, September 20th, 2019 around 1900 hours a custodian at the Woolley Center in Roseburg found a suspicious item, that looked like a pipe bomb, on top of a trash can near the building. The surrounding buildings were evacuated and Stewart Park Drive was closed between Harvard and the VA gate as a safety precaution. The Oregon State Police Explosives Unit responded from Central Point and rendered the item safe. No explosives were found inside the item and it appears the item was made for other purposes.  The responsible parties for the buildings were notified that the buildings were safe to reenter at their convenience. Roseburg Fire Department and Public Works assisted with traffic control.

K9 NIKE CAPTURES SUSPECT FLEEING FROM STOLEN VEHICLE

Roseburg Police Dept. On Friday, September 20th, 2019 Roseburg Police K9 Nike was used to assist the Winston Police Department after a vehicle pursuit that ended on Highway 42. 19 year old Abigail Wallace was driving a stolen car and attempted to elude police starting in Roseburg and ending near milepost 42 on Highway 42.  The pursuit ended when her vehicle was brought to a stop by an Oregon State Police Trooper using stop sticks. Wallace and her passenger fled from the car on foot, and refused to stop when told to do so. K9 Nike was deployed and chased Wallace down a steep embankment and across a creek. Wallace started to give up, so K9 Nike was called back to his handler, and Wallace began running again. K9 Nike was again sent to capture Wallace, and she stopped again and pretended to give up so K9 Nike was again called back. Clackamas County Sheriff's Search and Rescue looking for Missing 80 year-old near Trillium Lake

Sheriff's Office On September 19, 2019 at approximately 6:50 p.m., the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Taka Masuda .  Taka said he was picking mushrooms in the area of Trillium Lake with his friend  Akemi Takahashi, 80  of Tigard.  Taka had not seen his friend Akemi since 4:40 p.m.  Akemi is an experienced mushroom picker.  She is reported to have a whistle with her but her cell phone was left in the car.  Akemi was last seen wearing an orange jacket.  Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office search and rescue coordinators contacted Taka and established a command post at Trillium Lake Camp Ground.  Volunteer searchers from Pacific Northwest (PNW) Search and Rescue along with K-9 search teams from Mountain Wave Search and Rescue responded last night.  Teams searched the area but were unable to locate Akemi.
