DFPA • The first of multiple 911 calls reporting the Rolling Hills Road Fire came into the Douglas County 911 Communication Center Friday afternoon at 4:35 PM. • The first engine to arrive on scene reported a fast-moving grass fire that was estimated to be 1 acre in size and reported that multiple structures were threatened. • Level 2 and Level 3 evacuation notices were issued by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for residents in the Green District near Rolling Hills Road, Melody Lane, Stella Street, Landers Avenue, and Chandler Drive.  At the time of this posting, all evacuation notices have been removed. • At 7:07 PM, the Incident Commander reported that the fire was contained, and that crews would be on scene for an extended amount of time conducting mop-up operations.  • The Rolling Hills Road Fire burned approximately 20 acres of grass and brush and destroyed 2 homes, multiple out buildings, and four vehicles. • The cause of the Rolling Hills Road Fire is currently under investi

GREEN DISTRICT FIRE UPDATE

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office Green District, Roseburg, Ore.  - All evacuation levels for the Green District Fire have been lifted.  The road closures on Carnes Road and Hwy 99 have been lifted as well. Landers Lane at Melody is still closed. The area West of Landers Lane and Melody is still closed as well. Anyone who may need assistance from the American Red Cross can call 888-680-1455. Emergency crews are still on scene and are asking the public to be cautious when driving in the area.

Sheriff's Office Green District, Roseburg, Ore.  - A LEVEL 3 EVACUATION - GO! NOTICE NOW ORDERED FOR ALL HOMES LOCATED IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS DUE TO THE NATURAL COVER FIRE IN THE GREEN DISTRICT: ALL HOMES ON THE EAST AND NORTH EAST SIDE OF THE FIRE.  Level 3 or "GO!" : • If you chose not to evacuate, emergency services may not be able to assist you further. • Grab your "go kit" and leave immediately. • Follow your evacuation plan and stay informed. Danger to the evacuated area is current and imminent and you should evacuate immediately. If you choose to ignore this advisement, you must understand that emergency services may not be available to assist you further. Do not delay leaving to gather any belongings or make efforts to protect your home. This will be the last message you receive.

ARSON SUSPECT APPREHENDED

Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety On July 7th, 2021, at approximately 2330 hours, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (GPDPS) received a 911 call of a large tree and shrubs on fire along NE Beacon Drive, next to the Goodwill Thrift Shop parking lot, located at 346 NE Beacon Drive. GPDPS Police and Fire/Rescue units responded. On arrival, the large tree was fully involved and flames were about 50 feet high. The roadway was briefly shutdown and Fire/Rescue was able to extinguish the fire quickly. The tree and surrounding landscape shrubs were a total loss.  Police units continued the investigation and were able to utilize surveillance video that captured the incident. We were able to determine the fire was intentionally set. This led to contacting the suspect nearby in the 300 block of NE Beacon Drive. He was identified as 35 year-old Jeremy Mellow of Grants Pass. He was placed in custody and lodged at the Josephine County Jail on charges of Arson in the Second Degree. There may

OREGON WING CIVIL AIR PATROL ASSISTS IN BOOTLEG FIRE RESPONSE

Oregon Civil Air Patrol BLY, Ore. Oregon Wing Civil Air Patrol (ORWG) is assisting the Oregon Office of Emergency Management and the Oregon Department of Forestry in the Bootleg Fire Response near Bly, Ore. ORWG members are volunteering as radio operators, where they are providing communication services for two eight hour shifts per day. They are handling status reports, requests for resources, release of resources and medical emergency radio equipment, alongside firefighting personnel. There are currently four ORWG incident radio operators working with professional firefighting and communications personnel from state agencies. The ORWG members work in teams of two in eight-hour shifts to provide assistance at the fire forward operating base outside of Bly, Oregon. “It’s an austere location; CAP members are sleeping in a field, in tents,” David Rudawitz, ORWG incident commander said. “But we’re helping fill an understaffed area that’s needed.” ORWG members will be on-scene into August

Roseburg Police Dept. The Roseburg Police Department is seeking the publics’ assistance with locating 29-year-old  Amanda Wydur,  as investigation has established her as the suspect in this case.    Amanda is known to wear wigs and attempt to change and/or disguise her appearance. ORIGINAL RELEASE 07/20/21 5:07 PM On July 20th, 2021, at approximately 10:41 AM, Roseburg Police responded to US Bank (619 SE Main St, Roseburg, Oregon) for a report of a robbery. It was reported that a female entered the bank and provided the teller with a note demanding money; no weapons were displayed. The female suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. After the suspect left, US Bank went into lockdown until police arrived. Roseburg patrol units a
