ROGUE RIVER HIGHWAY STANDOFF

Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 18, 2021, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (GPDPS) was contacted by the United States Marshals Service (USMS) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) regarding two fugitives believed to be traveling from the state of Washington to Grants Pass, Oregon. The suspects, 36-year-old Guillermo B. Othon and 26-year-old Cierra B. Larsen, had felony warrants for their arrest out of Thurston County, Washington. In addition to the no-bail warrants, Othon and Larsen were wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery involving the use of firearms, which also occurred in Washington. Both suspects were considered armed and dangerous and were traveling with their 4-year-old daughter to a residence in the 1800-block of Rogue River Hwy. DEPUTIES ASK FOR THE PUBLIC'S HELP LOCATING A MISSING AND ENDANGERED MAN

Washington Co. Sheriff's Office On Sunday, May 16, 2021, at 6:30 p.m., Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies serving the city of Cornelius learned 76-year-old Ralph Brown was missing. Mr. Brown was last seen leaving his home near the 600 block S 12th Avenue in the City of Cornelius shortly before deputies were called. Family told deputies Mr. Brown left in his 2014 Blue Nissan Sentra (Oregon Plate: 319KQV). Mr. Brown is approximately 5'10", 210 lbs., has gray hair with blue eyes, and is missing the tip of his right-hand index finger. Mr. Brown's family says he has memory issues and may struggle to find his way home. If you know of Mr. Brown's whereabouts, please call non-emergency dispatch at (503) 629-0111.

ADULT IN CUSTODY WALKS AWAY FROM TRANSITION CENTER

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office Deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating an Adult in Custody (AIC) who walked away from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Transition Center. Jonathan Alan Goolsby, 22, walked away from the facility around 4:59 p.m., on Friday May 14, 2021. Goolsby was in custody for a Parole Violation; his scheduled release date was May, 21, 2021. Goolsby is a white adult male with hazel eyes and brown hair. He is 5’11” tall and weighs 170 lbs. The Marion County Transition Center prepares AICs for re-entry into the community prior to release from custody. AICs are allowed to leave the facility for pre-approved treatment or medical appointments.   Deputies are asking anyone with information about Goolsby to call the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 503-588-5032.

FATAL CRASH ON INTERSTATE 5 - LINN COUNTY

Oregon State Police UPDATE The operator of the Honda Civic - Bradley Letsom (33) of Eugene. On Sunday, May 16, 2021 at approximately 10:30 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near milepost 208. Preliminary investigation revealed a Honda Civic was the subject of several complaints for poor driving northbound on I-5.  As troopers were still responding to the area the Civic turned around and proceeded southbound in the northbound lanes.  The Civic collided with a northbound semi-truck operated by Surjit Singh (38) of Live Oak, CA. The operator of the Civic sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.  The name will be released when appropriate. Singh was not injured in the crash. OSP was assisted by Linn County Sheriff's Office, Harrisburg Fire Department, and ODOT.

SEARCH UNDERWAY FOR MISSING ROSEBURG MAN NEAR TWIN LAKES

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office IDLEYLD PARK, Ore.  - The search efforts for Harry Burleigh who was reported missing on Friday, May 7, 2021, are continuing today.  69 year-old Burleigh failed to return from a fishing trip and was reported as missing by his wife. On Saturday, May 8, 2021, a deputy located Burleigh's vehicle at the Twin Lakes Trailhead. Burleigh had filled out a form and left it at the trailhead indicating he was entering the Twin Lakes area on Thursday, May 6, 2021 and intended to be out that evening.  Searchers have been scouring the area for any signs of Burleigh and had come up empty handed until yesterday, Sunday May 16, 2021. Searchers located a makeshift shelter and a tackle box belonging to Burleigh in the Calf Creek area; however the man is still missing.  The efforts continue today in hopes of finding additional clues. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has been utilizing search teams and resources from multiple counties as well as partner agencies. 

INVESTIGATION ONGOING [TOXIC EXPOSURE SICKENS 26 PATIENTS]

Hillsboro Fire and Rescue At approximately 9:15 am this morning, a caller to 911 reported a strong smell inside Shari’s Restaurant located at 2185 NW 185th Avenue in Hillsboro. Rapid onset of symptoms was reported including coughing, burning sensation, and dizziness. It was initially reported that 25 people were inside the restaurant when people started experiencing symptoms.  Given the number of patients, the incident commander upgraded to a second alarm medical incident. All persons inside the restaurant were able to evacuate safely. There were no reports of smoke, flames, or active fire. First arriving crews entered the building in protective gear with gas monitoring equipment to assess the exposure level and try to determine its source. Other firefighters accessed the roof of the restaurant to assess the HVAC equipment as a potential source. Those initial investigations were inconclusive. It was confirmed to be contained inside the restaurant so there was no risk of outside exposur
