SALEM MAN SHOOTS WOMAN, KILLS SELF

Salem Police Department Salem, Ore.  — At approximately 10:40 a.m. today, Salem Police officers responded to the 1300 block of Vista AV SE on the call of a man driving his truck into a residence, then shooting a woman inside the home. The suspect fled the scene. The woman was transported to Salem Health with critical injuries. Officers learned of a possible threat to the victim’s children who attend Morningside Elementary School near the residence. Out of an abundance of caution, security measures at the school were implemented, including putting the school on lockdown status and deploying officers to the campus to ensure the safety of students and staff. A description of the suspect and vehicle was dispatched to area law enforcement agencies. At approximately 11:15 a.m., the suspect was located traveling eastbound on Highway 22E by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office who were able to get the vehicle stopped just outside the city limits of Detroit.  Deputies approached the vehicle and l

Domestic Violence Shooting Suspect Dead After Crashing into Responding Fire Truck

Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office ASHLAND, Ore. – A domestic violence shooting suspect is dead after crashing head on into a responding fire truck early this morning on Dead Indian Memorial Road outside Ashland. The domestic violence victim was injured during the crash and was transported to a local hospital. The suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.    Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies responded to a shots-fired domestic violence call early this morning in the 8000 block of Dead Indian Memorial Road in rural Ashland. ECSO Dispatch received the 911 call at 4:39 a.m. during a house party at the residence. The caller reported overhearing an argument followed by gun shots and the suspect and victim leaving the residence in a vehicle at a high rate of speed towards Ashland.    The suspect’s vehicle left its lane of travel on Dead Indian Memorial Road near mile marker two, colliding head on with a responding Jackson County Fire District 5 (FD5) fire truck.

CONTRACTOR SCAMS ELDERLY PERSON OUT OF MORE THAN $34,000

Washington Co. Sheriff's Office The Washington County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in an investigation involving fraudulent activities and financial exploitation of a vulnerable individual. A Washington County grand jury has indicted Blancy Mitchell on several charges, including aggravated theft in the first degree with a victim over 65 years old and four counts of theft in the first degree. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Unit also urge anyone who may have been a victim of similar crimes involving Mitchell to come forward. The investigation revealed that the victim, who lives within the community of Aloha, received a notification from their bank stating that their account was overdrawn. Subsequently, it was discovered that significant amounts of money had been unlawfully withdrawn from their account within a short period.  Detectives learned Mitchell initially contacted the victim at their home and proposed roof cleaning and repair

DETECTIVES ARREST MAN FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT

Sheriff's Office Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Detectives arrested 38-year-old Ryan Claussen on charges stemming from allegations of sexual assault.  On September 8, 2023, Claussen was indicted by a grand jury for the following charges, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.  Sex abuse in the first degree Attempted rape in the first degree Attempted sodomy in the first degree With the help of Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office, detectives located and took Claussen into custody on September 22, 2023.  During the investigation, multiple additional women reported Claussen sexually assaulted them, including a woman he had just met in 2023. The investigation spans both Washington and Yamhill Counties and covers a timeframe of nearly twenty years.  Detectives are concerned there may be more victims of Claussen and are asking anyone with additional information to call the Sheriff’s Office at 503-846-2500.                   Click Here To Download Our App

A Woman Flees On Foot From A Traffic Stop, Tracked And Located By K9 Cena Passenger Also Arrested On Outstanding Warrants

Coos County Sheriff's Office On October 27 th at 9:45 a.m., a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a sliver Ford Ranger for several traffic violations. The vehicle tried to speed away and abruptly stopped on Whisky Run Road near mile marker 1. The female driver fled from the driver's seat while a man exited the passenger seat and aggressively approached the deputy. The man was identified as Darryl J. Sullivan (55), who had warrants outstanding for his arrest. Sheriff’s Office K9 Cena tracked the woman driver and located her about 250 yards into the brush, hiding at the bottom of a steep hill in the brush. She was identified as Chakara R. Hoyle (31) and was taken into custody for attempting to elude by foot. Mrs. Hoyle was also cited for driving while suspended. Sheriff's Office JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. – A high-dollar burglary investigation has led to the arrest of four suspects after more than $300,000 in cash, gold coins, and guns were stolen on August 22nd from a residence in rural Central Point. During the investigation, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) detectives searched three Medford residences after tracking sales of the rare gold coins and guns. While searching the residences, detectives discovered rare gold coins and guns tying the suspects to the crime, as well as additional firearms possessed by convicted felons, and more than 140 grams of presumptive methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl. JCSO detectives began their investigation on Tuesday, August 22nd after JCSO Patrol deputies took a report of a burglary in the 4800 block of Old Stage Road in rural Central Point. On Monday, October 16 th , 2023, a Washington County Grand Jury indicted 24-year-old Mason Dominguez on the following charges: Using Child in Display of Sexually Explicit Conduct  Attempted Using Child in Display of Sexually Explicit Conduct - 2 counts Luring a Minor - 2 counts Tampering with a Witness  Following the indictment, a Washington County Circuit Court Judge issued a Secret Indictment Arrest Warrant. Dominguez was taken into custody on October 26 th , 2023 without incident and is currently being held at the Washington County Jail. OREGON STATE TROOPER AND MOTORIST STRUCK BY SUSPECTED IMPAIRED DRIVER DURING TRAFFIC STOP NEAR ROSEBURG

Oregon State Police Oregon State Trooper and motorist struck by suspected impaired driver during traffic stop near Roseburg   On Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at approximately  7:30 a.m. , an Oregon State Police patrol sergeant stopped a motorist for a traffic violation on Hwy 138E, facing westbound near milepost 10, in Douglas County.     During the traffic stop, an eastbound motorist crossed multiple lanes of travel and crashed head-on into the stopped vehicle. The operator of the stopped vehicle was critically injured. The patrol sergeant miraculously only suffered minor injuries and the suspect suffered minor injuries.  All of the involved were transported for medical evaluation and treatment.   Limited information is available for release at this time due to the ongoing criminal investigation.  The Oregon State Police is conducting an investigation into the potential impairment of the suspect impaired driver. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.

DETECTIVES ARREST TWO IN CONNECTION WITH SEX TRAFFICKING RING

Washington Co. Sheriff's Office In August 2023, Washington County detectives learned of a sex trafficking ring connected to a home in the Bethany neighborhood. Over a dozen people, including two juveniles, have been connected to the ring, which operated in multiple states and involved women from Oregon, Washington, California, and North Carolina. On October 16, Violent Crimes Unit detectives served a search warrant at the home off NW 167 th  Avenue. Detectives arrested 27-year-old Dwight Dew Jr. during the service of the search warrant and seized evidence at the home. Deputy responds to Motor Vehicle Accident at Arago Boat Ramp

Coos County Sheriff's Office During the early morning of October 25 th , 2023, around midnight, Coos County Dispatch received a 911 call from a woman in Myrtle Point who had just crashed her car at the Arago Boat Ramp. Deputy B. Freerksen immediately responded and was assisted by Myrtle Point Police. The woman stated that she had turned into the parking lot of the boat ramp too fast, and when she applied pressure to her brakes, she slid into the bathrooms. She is reported to be missing from the Highway 199 and Ringuette area in Grants Pass. Debi has dementia and has been missing in the past. Thank you for the community's support - JohnHenry has been found.  On October 24, 2023 we received a report that JohnHenry left his mom’s house located in the 300 block of Hamiliton Ave, Cave Junction on October 23, 2023 around noon. JohnHenry is driving a  newer, white Ford Intrepid four door with Nevada plates. He was more than likely wearing a Carhartt shirt and jeans. JohnHenry recently moved to Oregon and does not know the area very well and his direction of travel is unknown. JohnHenry did not take his cellphone. FATAL CRASH - INTERSTATE 84 - BAKER COUNTY

Oregon State Police On Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 9:40 P.M., the Oregon State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 84, near milepost 293, in Baker County. The preliminary investigation indicated an eastbound Mitsubishi Mirage, operated by Rebecca Anne Markle (43) of Caldwell (ID), was in the slow lane when it struck the rear end of a Peterbilt commercial motor vehicle and trailer, operated by Victor Maldonado (44) of Fruitland (ID), causing major damage to the Mitsubishi.   The operator of the Mitsubishi (Markle) and a passenger, a female juvenile (16), were seriously injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.   A passenger of the Mitsubishi, Philip Wayne Markle (19) of Nampa (ID), was declared deceased at the scene. FATAL CRASH - INTERSTATE 5 - MARION COUNTY

Oregon State Police On Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 12:02 p.m., the Oregon State Police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Interstate 5, near milepost 271, in Marion County.   The preliminary investigation indicated a southbound Toyota Corolla, operated by Elvin Miranda Martinez (28) of Junction City, was the subject of several driving complaints and had crashed into the center median, near milepost 293 on I-5.  As OSP units were responding, the suspect vehicle left the scene of the original crash and continued southbound at high speeds, striking the median again before eventually becoming disabled in the median.  A concerned motorist stopped to check on the suspect when the suspect attempted to take the motorists vehicle keys.  As Woodburn Police officers arrived on scene, the suspect fled on foot across the northbound lanes and was struck by a Honda CR-V.   The suspect (Martinez) was transported to a local hospital and was later declared deceased by hospital personne

STOLEN VEHICLE IN SOUTH COUNTY LEADS TO SUSPECT ELUDING LAW ENFORCEMENT

Deschutes County Sheriff's Office On 10/23/2023, at approximately 0300 hours, deputies with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office responded to and were investigating a report of a stolen vehicle in the 52000 block of Huntington Road in La Pine. Deputies developed a possible suspect and later located the vehicle, a black 1989 Chevy S10, at a residence in the 15400 block of Deer Ave, La Pine. As deputies were attempting to contact the vehicle and take the suspect male into custody, the suspect fled from the scene in the stolen vehicle. The suspect crashed into multiple trees and other objects while fleeing from the scene. Deputies later located the stolen vehicle near Brooks Lane, but it was unoccupied, and the suspect male had fled on foot. There continues to be increased law enforcement presence in the area of Deer Avenue while a search for the male is conducted. FATAL CRASH - HWY 101 - TILLAMOOK COUNTY

Oregon State Police On Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 3:27 a.m., the Oregon State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy-101, near milepost 63, in Tillamook County.   The preliminary investigation indicated a southbound Dodge Ram, operated by a female juvenile (17), veered into the northbound lane and struck a Toyota Tundra, operated by Christopher Frank Armitage (38) of Garibaldi, head-on.   The operator of the Dodge was declared deceased at the scene.  The operator was not wearing a seatbelt.   The operator of the Toyota (Armitage) suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.    The highway was impacted for approximately five hours during the on-scene investigation.   OSP was assisted by the Tillamook Police Department, Tillamook Fire, and ODOT.                  Click Here To Download Our App

ATTEMPTED MURDER OF 3-YEAR-OLD GIRL

Albany Police On Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 1:40pm the Albany Police Department received a 911 call that a 3-year-old child was found face-down in a pool at a residence in Albany. Albany Police officers and Albany Fire Department responded to the emergency. Officers arrived first on scene and immediately began life saving efforts. Albany Fire paramedics continued these lifesaving efforts when they arrived and transported the child to an area hospital. Later, the child was transported to a Portland-area hospital for a higher level of care, where she remains in critical condition. During the initial investigation, officers developed information leading them to believe the child’s condition resulted from an intentional act. The child’s mother, Kristen Brooks, 31 years of age, was arrested for Attempted Aggravated Murder and Criminal Mistreatment in the First Degree. She is presently lodged at the Linn County Jail.  The investigation remains active and no further information for release

GRESHAM POLICE SEARCHING FOR MISSING ENDANGERED ADULT

Gresham Police Dept Gresham, Ore.— Gresham Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 48-year-old woman in need of her medication. Anne Pham left her adult care home in northwest Gresham on Oct. 18. and has not returned. Anne is considered endangered because she left without her required medication. Anne is familiar with public transportation and may have her TriMet pass with her.  Anne is described as a Vietnamese female with straight brown hair and brown eyes. Her shoulder length hair has grown out highlights. Anne is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white sweater with green and orange stripes, red shorts, and white platform slippers.  Anne’s family says they are worried about her mental health but say she is not a danger to others. Hit and Run Suspect Apprehended After Over a Month

Coos County Sheriff's Office On September 12th, 2023, around 7:05 pm, Deputy Z. Smith and Sgt. S. Moore responded to a vehicle vs. motorcycle crash at the intersection of Flanagan and Bay Park Lane in Coos Bay. The motorcycle operator, Tony Edwards, fled the scene upon learning that the police were on their way. It was discovered that Tony was not the motorcycle's owner, and his driving status was suspended due to a violation. Deputies later found the vehicle at Tony's residence, but he refused to come out, and his family denied his presence.  On October 22nd, 2023, around 6:54 am, Deputy Z. Smith spotted Tony on the property and arrested him for Hit & Run - Property Damage. Tony was taken to Coos County Jail, where he was booked.                   Click Here To Download Our App
