Pedestrian struck on Interstate 84 near Pendleton - Umatilla County

Oregon State Police  - 12/31/18 On Sunday, December 30, 2018, at approximately 6:45 A.M. Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 84 near milepost 208.   When emergency personnel arrived they located the pedestrian with life threatening injuries, but no vehicle was located at the scene. The pedestrian, Alicia Flores (40) of Stanfield, OR. was transported by ambulance to St. Anthony Hospital where she was then transported by Life Flight to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA.  On Monday, December 31, 2018 Flores was pronounced deceased from her injuries. On Monday, December 31, 2018 Daniel Robert Edwards (29) of Hermiston reported to the Oregon State Police office in Hermiston, after reading on a news outlet that a pedestrian had been struck on I 84, stating that he believed he had struck the pedestrian.  Edwards is cooperating with the investigation.  OSP was assisted by the Umatilla

Passenger dies in single vehicle crash on Hwy 238 - Josephine County

Oregon State Police  - 12/31/18  On December 30, 2018 at approximately 7:48 P.M. Oregon State Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 238 near milepost 8.5. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2018 Nissan Rogue, operated by Daniel Horowitz, age 64 of Grants Pass, was eastbound on Hwy 238 when it veered off of the road and into the ditch. The passenger, Julie Horowitz, age 76 of Grants Pass, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Daniel Horowitz was transported to Three Rivers Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. The Oregon State Police was assisted by AMR, Rural Metro Fire, and the Oregon Department of Transportation. The highway was partially closed for 3 hours. A medical event is being investigated as a possible cause of the crash.

Sheriff's Office responds to injury hit and run; suspect arrested for Assault I and Hit and Run Injury

Clackamas Co. Sheriff's Office  - 12/30/18 At approximately 2:35 p.m. on Sunday December 30, 2018, Clackamas County deputies responded to an injury hit and run crash in the 711 parking lot near the intersection of SE 82nd Ave. and SE Otty St., Happy Valley OR. While deputies were responding, they were informed that a citizen had followed the suspect vehicle into the Babies R Us parking lot (9650 SE 82nd Ave).  Several deputies responded to the 9650 SE 82nd Ave. location where they were able to detain Leslie Meyer, 65 year old male from Milwaukie. Deputies who responded to 711 (9800 SE 82nd Ave.) found Jason Shwartz, 38 year old male from Portland, with serious injuries.  Mr. Schwartz was treated on the scene and then transported to a local hospital.  The extent of Mr. Schwartz’s injuries are not known as of the time of this release. Clackamas County CSI, CRAFT (Criminal Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians), and detectives responded and are conducting an investigation.

Armed Robbery Arrest

Bend Police Dept.  - 12/30/18  On December 29, 2018, at 6:58 PM, Deschutes County 911 received a call from a female asking for help with an emergency at Local Motors.  Bend Police Officers were dispatched and arrived three minutes later.  The Officers encountered a robbery in progress.  There was a suspect in a mask and armed with a hammer who was inside the business.  Local Motors business owners Morgan Matlock, Christina Matlock and a male juvenile were also inside the business and the suspect was demanding money from them.  Christina Matlock and the male juvenile eventually exited the business and were contacted by officers.  The male suspect then exited the business, saw officers on scene and ran north.  Bend Police Officers pursued the suspect on foot and ordered him to stop.  The suspect refused but officers caught him on NE Tweet Place north of NE Yale Avenue.  The suspect had stolen both victim’s cellular phones.  The suspect was identified as Christopher James Grant.  T

Grants Pass man dies in two vehicle crash - Josephine County

Oregon State Police  - 12/29/18 On Saturday, December 29, 2018, at approximately 9:37 A.M.. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a two vehicle crash on Hwy 238 near milepost 3. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Subaru Forester, operated by Eric Maddox (34) of Grants Pass, OR. swerved to avoid a deer crossing the road. The Subaru left its lane, over corrected, and entered the opposing lane of traffic. The Subaru collided with an oncoming Ford Ranger, operated by Robert Culton (63) of Williams, OR.  Maddox sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Culton was transported, by ambulance to Three Rivers Community Hospital for injuries. Hwy 238 was closed for approximately 2 hours. OSP was assisted by the Josephine County Sheriff's Department, Josephine County Rural Metro Fire, and ODOT.

Plane Crash at Bend Municipal Airport

Bend Police Dept.  - 12/29/18 On December 29th 2018, Officers with the Bend Police Department and the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Bend Municipal Airport on a report of a plane that crashed. Officers arrived on scene and learned that a single engine, Cessna 180 crashed on the northeast corner of the runway. The plane was occupied by the pilot and three passengers. All occupants of the plane were not seriously injured and were treated on scene. One passenger was transported to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend for a minor injury. As the plane touched down a gust of wind hit the plane. The pilot attempted to gain control of the plane however it made contact with an embankment and crashed just east of the runway. The Pilot advised they were returning from an approximate 3 hour fight when the crash occurred. The airport remained open during the investigation.

Suspect Arrested During Stabbing Investigation in Portland's Madison South Neighborhood - Two People Injured

Portland Police Bureau  - 12/29/18  On Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 2:42 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a disturbance at an apartment complex located at 8231 Northeast Broadway. When officers arrived they located two adult male victims suffering from what officers believed to be multiple stab wounds. Officers searched the area and contacted people in the area and learned the suspect was in a nearby apartment. Officers located and took the suspect into custody without incident. Emergency medical personnel arrived and provided the injured men with emergency medical aid. Both men were transported by ambulances to Portland area hospitals for treatment of what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries. During the continued investigation, officers located evidence of a disturbance and an assault in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Sheriff's Office  - 12/29/18 JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. – With the seasonal closure of many mountain roads comes a reminder to travelers:  don’t forget to use common sense when using driving directions from GPS or cell phone map apps!  Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) search and rescue (SAR) deputies have already responded to calls involving people who followed directions provided by their phone’s mapping system – and ended up stranded on closed or unmaintained roads. Many forest roads are closed to cars during the winter months.  An example is National Forest Road 37 – a popular route during the summer that connects drivers from Highway 140 near Fish Lake to the Ashland area via Dead Indian Memorial Road.  The road is not maintained or patrolled and is closed to motor vehicle traffic, as indicated by several signs posted on either end. “It may look like a shortcut on a map, but in the winter, Forest Road 37 is essentially a snowmobile trail.  It is not to be us

Redmond Man Dies In 3-Vehicle Crash On NW Maple Ave

Redmond Police Dept.  - 12/29/18  Redmond, OR – On Wednesday, December 26, 2018, shortly after 9:30 PM, Redmond Police Officers were notified of a three-vehicle crash on the Maple Ave Bridge which spans the Dry Canyon in Redmond.  A Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Deputy arrived on the scene immediately after the crash occurred and rendered aid to injured persons.  Redmond Officers and Redmond Fire & Rescue medics responded to the crash scene to provide additional aid and to investigate. At this time, the crash is still under investigation.  Preliminary information indicates a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Anesha Slocum, 39-years-old and a Redmond resident, was driving westbound on NW Maple Ave across the Maple Ave Bridge.  Randy Slocum, 52-years-old and a Redmond resident, was riding in the front passenger seat. Washington County Man Sentenced to 130 Months in Prison for Domestic Violence Charges

Washington Co. District Attorney's Office  - 12/29/18 HILLSBORO, Ore.- On December 20, 2018, Judge Janelle Factora Wipper sentenced Patrick Michael Paluda to 130 months in prison after a Washington County jury found him guilty of multiple charges brought against him by Senior Deputy District Attorney John Gerhard. Paluda was found guilty of Assault in the Second-Degree, Coercion, Strangulation, Menacing, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and multiple drug-related charges. Paluda was arrested in June of 2018 by members of the Inter-agency  Washington County Tactical Negotiations Team (TNT), or SWAT. Officers were dispatched to a home Paluda was renting after a neighbor called 911 to report shouting and a possible domestic disturbance there. When officers first arrived, they found the female victim screaming for help as she tried to escape the home by scaling a fence in the backyard. New Fallen Deputy Memorial Dedicated

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office  - 12/28/18  ROSEBURG, Ore.  - "Nulla dies umquam memori vos eximet aevo" or "No day shall erase you from the memory of time". That is the fitting inscription on the newly installed fallen deputy memorial which was officially dedicated and unveiled to the public on Thursday, December 20, 2018. The memorial hangs on the wall in the lobby of the Sheriff's Office in Roseburg. It depicts four members of the agency who lost their lives while in service to the community and agency. The memorial was made possible by donations from the Douglas County Law Enforcement Association, Roseburg Optimist Club and the volunteers of Douglas County Search and Rescue.  The memorial features photographs and a brief story of the fallen deputy's service and sacrifice. Those remembered in the memorial include:  Sergeant Gerald G. Chirrick Corporal Virgle D. Knight Jr. Special Deputy Ronald H. Terwilliger Posse Deputy Carol S. Anderson

Two people die in crash on Hwy 22W - Polk County

Oregon State Police  - 12/28/18 On Thursday, December 27, 2018 at approximately 12:58 pm, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash on Hwy 22W near milepost 8.  Preliminary investigation revealed that a motorcycle, with attached side car, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 22W when it swerved into the westbound lane of travel to avoid hitting a deer.   The motorcycle collided with a westbound GMC Yukon.   The two occupants of the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. The occupants of the Yukon sustained minor injuries.       Hwy 22W was closed for approximately 2.5 hours following the crash before the eastbound lane was opened.  OSP was assisted by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Dallas Fire Department, and ODOT. Passenger dies in single vehicle crash on Hwy 101 - Curry County

Oregon State Police  - 12/28/18 On Friday, December 28, 2018 at approximately 2:50 AM. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 101 near milepost 290. Preliminary investigation reveals that a 2006 Chevrolet Aveo, operated by John Figura (26) of Port Orford, was southbound on Hwy 101 when it traveled off the roadway, rolled, and struck a telephone pole. The passenger in the vehicle, Natalie Wilson (24) from Port Orford, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.   Figura was transported to the hospital in Gold Beach with non life threatening injuries. Driver fatigue (sleep) is thought to be a contributing factor in the crash. OSP was assisted by the Langlois Rural Fire Department and ODOT.

Man Arrested for Public Indecency, Detectives Think More Victims Possible

Gresham Police Dept  - 12/28/18 Gresham, Ore.— On Wednesday, Dec. 26, detectives contacted Gresham resident D-Jay David McKenzie as part of a child pornography and public indecency case.  He was booked into the Multnomah County jail early this morning on more than a dozen charges. McKenzie, 30, is accused of possessing multiple pornographic images of children.  He is also accused of driving a blue sedan near juveniles, where he could be seen masturbating.  Some of these encounters appear to have been recorded by McKenzie. Investigators believe McKenzie may have exposed himself to children in Gresham, Southeast Portland, and Clackamas County over the last several months.  They are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed him engage in this type of behavior.  Anyone with information about McKenzie is asked to contact Detective Adam Wright at 503.618.2233 or  ight@greshamoregon.gov "> adam.wright@greshamoregon.gov .

DCSO Deputy Acts Quickly to Save a Life

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 12/28/18  On December 26, 2018, at about 2:00 pm, a deputy with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office was at a residence in the La Pine area addressing county ordinance violations with the homeowner.  During the contact, a female subject inside the home came out of a bedroom and reported another female on scene was “down” and not breathing.  The reporting female suspected an opioid overdose and had already administered a dose of Narcan to the unresponsive female, but it had no apparent effect.  The deputy immediately summoned emergency medical assistance and went to the bedroom where a 57-year-old unresponsive female was located.  The deputy began assessing the female’s condition and based on her observations also suspected an opioid overdose.  The deputy obtained a second dose of Narcan from her patrol vehicle and administered it to the unresponsive female.  This dose had an immediate effect and the female began breathing again.  Without this

SUTHERLIN MAN IS MISSING

Southern Oregon Scanner 12/27/2018 A Sutherlin man is missing. Police Chief Troy Mills of the Sutherlin Police Department said 28-year old Nicholas Blum told his employer on December 23rd that he was going to Coos Bay to see a friend, which is something he does  regularly. Blum frequents the Myrtle Creek and Eugene areas, according to Mills. The man drives a green 1995 Toyota Tercel with Oregon license plate UNQ902. Mills said no other information is available. He said Sutherlin Police is working on the case and will pass on additional details as they become available.

Diamond Hill Crash

Linn County Sheriff's Office  - 12/27/18  Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports his deputies are investigating a motor vehicle crash that occurred December 27, 2018, at 5:46 p.m.  The Sheriff’s Office received a call that a vehicle had struck a motorist who was standing outside of his disabled vehicle on Diamond Hill Drive near the intersection of Weatherford Road, east of Harrisburg.    A 16-year-old male, driving a black 2003 Toyota Corolla, was parked on the side of the road because his car had broken down.  At the time of the crash, the vehicle was partially in the westbound lane, it was dark and rainy.  Friends had arrived in a Ford F150 pickup to assist him in jumping his vehicle.  The 16-year-old and his 17-year-old friend, also from Harrisburg, were both standing at the back of the Toyota when they were struck by a 1997 Geo Prizm.   The 16-year-old was pushed into the Toyota and suffered life threatening injuries.  He was transported by ambulance to Riverbend Hospital

Redmond Police Arrest Suspect After Robbery/Assault

Redmond Police Dept.  - 12/27/18  Redmond, OR – On Wednesday evening, December 26, 2018, Redmond Police Officers were dispatched to the intersection of SW 25th Street and SW Fissure Loop North for a reported dispute between two adult males.  One of the involved males was reported to be armed with a knife. Officers arrived on the scene and investigated.  Officers were told by the victim and a witness, that another male, later identified as Mr. Rudy Gandarilla, 40-years-old and a Redmond resident, became upset at the victim and threatened him with a knife after the victim drove an acquittance of Mr. Gandarilla to his house.  Mr. Gandarilla confronted the victim while the victim was seated in the driver seat of his vehicle.  During the confrontation, Mr. Gandarilla slashed two of the victim’s tires, punched the victim in the face several times, and demanded the victim turn over other personal items, including a cell phone and wallet, all while threatening the victim with a knife. Missing Woman Killed in a Pedestrian Versus Car Crash in Tillamook County

Oregon State Police  - 12/26/18  On December 24, 2018 at approximately 5:32 PM, Oregon State Police Troopers (OSP) and emergency personnel responded to a reported  fatal vehicle versus pedestrian crash on US-101 around milepost 54. Preliminary investigation revealed the victim, Carol Warner Christen, age 79, of Yamhill, had been reported missing to TIllamook County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) at 4:55 PM from Barview Jetty County Park, just north of the crash scene.  At approximately 5:29PM, TCSO dispatch was alerted a person was laying in the roadway at milepost 54.  At 5:32PM, OSP Northern Command Center dispatched troopers to the scene of fatal vehicle versus pedestrian crash.   Christen suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. US-101 was completely closed for approximately four hours after the crash.  OSP was assisted by TCSO, Rockaway Beach Police Department, Tillamook Fire, and Oregon Department of Transportation. 

SW Canal Blvd crash injuries one

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 12/26/18 On 12/25/2018 at approximately 1910 hrs, deputies with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a report of an injury crash on SW Canal Blvd near SW 61st Street in the Redmond area. Upon arrival, deputies determined that a black 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Salena Wilson, age 21 of Redmond was southbound on SW Canal Blvd.  Near the 7000 block of SW Canal Blvd, the vehicle left the roadway and traveled off the right shoulder.  After leaving the roadway, Wilson struck a fence and then crashed into a tree head on. A citizen driving the area immediately after the crash observed that Wilson had extricated herself from the vehicle and had crawled up the shoulder and onto the roadway.  The citizen stayed with Wilson to protect her from other traffic until emergency personnel were able to arrive. Prineville Man Revived and Arrested for DUII-Drugs After Crash in Tumalo

Sheriff's Office  - 12/25/18 On December 25, 2018 at approximately 2:39PM Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on the east Tumalo grade of US Highway 20. Witnesses called 911 to report a silver Cadillac DeVille had crashed into a guard rail while driving through Tumalo. The Cadillac continued eastbound, towards Bend, when it crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic on the east grade of Highway 20. The Cadillac, driven by Tyland John Shoals, age 28 of Prineville, OR, left the north side of the roadway and crashed into an embankment. Bystanders stopped to check on Shoals and found he was unresponsive and not breathing. Moments later and with the assistance of bystanders, DCSO Deputies arrived and provided Shoals life-saving medical aid. DCSO Searching for a Bend Man After Early Morning Pursuit

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 12/25/18  On December 25, 2018 at approximately 6:05AM, a Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Deputy conducted a traffic stop with a grey 2016 Dodge Ram pick-up truck for a traffic violation. The DCSO Deputy contacted the driver, who provided a false identification. During the traffic stop, the DCSO Deputy was able to identify the driver as Freddy Ayala, age 27 of Bend, Oregon after searching databases. The DCSO Deputy re-contacted Ayala at the driver’s window and attempted to arrest him for Driving While Criminally Suspended. Ayala sped away. DCSO Deputies and Bend Police Officers pursued Ayala for several blocks until the pursuit discontinued in the interest of public safety. The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance locating Mr. Ayala’s whereabouts. He is known to frequent the Bend and Prineville areas. Redmond Man Arrested After an Attempted Hemp Farm Robbery and Pursuit

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 12/25/18  On December 25, 2018 at approximately 12:25PM, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a trespass in progress at 500 block of NE O’Neil Way. The victim and reporting party told Deschutes County 911 dispatchers that he was holding two trespassers at gunpoint after confronting them on their licensed industrial hemp farm. The trespasser’s truck became stuck on rocks during the confrontation. The driver, later identified as, Mitchell Bruce Ballard, Jr., age 31 of Redmond, Oregon was able to remove the truck from the rocks and fled before law enforcement could arrive. An Oregon State Police Trooper spotted the truck leaving the area and pursued it for several minutes before discontinuing the pursuit in the interest of public safety. DCSO Deputies and Detectives saturated the area and located Ballard and a woman in the public lands behind the Negus Landfill Transfer Station with the truck. After a short foot pursuit,

Rollover Crash on Deschutes Market Road

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 12/25/18 On December 25, 2018 at approximately 0917 hours deputies with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a rollover motor vehicle accident on Deschutes Market Road near Morrill Rd. Upon arrival, deputies located the vehicle on its roof down a 30 foot embankment. All parties were out of the vehicle. The driver had a small laceration to his forehead and multiple small cuts on the back of his head from glass. The female passenger was complaining of pain to her knee and was holding her three young children to keep them warm. One of the three children received a minor abrasion to his face.  All parties were treated and released at the scene by Bend Fire Medics. The investigation revealed the driver was southbound on Deschutes Market Road when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy roadway and rolled down the embankment. Portland Police Bureau  - 12/25/18  The suspect taken into custody during a Monday morning robbery investigation in Downtown Portland has been identified as 19-year-old Saul Vela. Vela was lodged at the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Robbery in the First Degree and Assault in the First Degree. The victim remains at a Portland area hospital receiving medical treatment. Portland Police Bureau  - 12/25/18  On Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at 8:50 a.m., North Precinct officers arrested 23-year-old Mark Anthony Fernandez near Northeast 148th Avenue and Northeast Sandy Boulevard. North Precinct officers observed Fernandez driving a maroon Chrysler Town and Country that had been taken during a robbery that occurred on Monday, December 24, 2018, near Southwest 10th Avenue and Southwest Washington Street. A North Precinct officer observed the maroon Chrysler Town and Country with Oregon license plate "829HXP" being driven in the area of North Union Court and North Hayden Meadows Drive. When the officer attempted to stop the driver of the stolen Chrysler Town and Country, the driver drove away, fleeing from officers. Officers pursued the driver and vehicle for a period of time, but stopped the pursuit when the driver's actions were believed to be a danger to the public. Portland Police Bureau  - 12/24/18  On Monday, December 24, 2018, at 12:13 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the Southeast Asian Vicariate Church of Our Lady of Lavang, located at 5404 Northeast Alameda Street, on the report a vehicle had driven into the church. Officers arrived at the church and located extensive damage to the building and its contents. Officers searched the area but did not locate a vehicle or suspect believed to be responsible for the damage to the building. During a canvass of the area, officers located evidence that indicated the make and model of the vehicle involved in the crash. Based on information learned during the investigation, officers believed a suspect had driven an Acura sport utility vehicle into and through the interior of the church. Deputies Evacuate Gaston Residents after Man Overcome by Chemicals

Sheriff's Office  - 12/24/18  On Monday, December 24, 2018, at 5:04 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to assist Gaston Fire at the Riverside Apartments at 98 2nd Street in Gaston. A woman located a man down in his apartment. A Forest Grove Police officer was the first to arrive and found a man overcome by a strong chemical smell. The officer dragged that man to safety, where he could be evaluated by medical personnel. The 55-year-old patient was chemically decontaminated and then transported to a local hospital for treatment. Deputies quickly began notifying and evacuating residents from the apartment building and surrounding area. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue’s Hazardous Materials Response Team responded to assess the situation. The Metropolitan Explosives Disposal Unit also responded out of an abundance of caution. Recovered Stolen Property (Theft of packages from porches)

Bend Police Dept.  - 12/24/18 On 12/21/18, at 1630 hours, an officer from the Bend Police Department responded to a report of package thefts from a home in the 20000 block of Fairway Dr.  The homeowner reported that an unknown male subject was observed on home video surveillance coming to the front porch of their home, knocking on the door, and when they did not get a response the suspect stole the packages that had previously been delivered.  The packages contained Christmas presents for family members in the home. The officer was able to obtain a copy of the video surveillance from the homeowner. The officer was able to identify the suspect vehicle, which was a 2004 Kia Optima, as well as the license plate on the vehicle. The officer identified Steven Stout as the suspect. On December 23 while on patrol, a separate officer was able to identify Stout driving the previously identified vehicle from the thefts. That officer stopped the vehicle in the 2400 block of NE Twin Knolls.

Motor vehicle crash injuries one on Highway 20 at Old Bend Redmond

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 12/23/18 On 12/23/2018 at approximately 1916 hrs, deputies with Deschutes County were dispatched to a report of motor vehicle crash at Highway 20 and Old Bend Redmond.  Initial reports were that the crash was a high mechanism crash with unknown injuries. Upon arrival, deputies determined that a blue 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Jeff Kirkpatrick was westbound on Highway 20 approaching Old Bend Redmond.  A gray 2005 Ford Excursion driven by a 17 year old female juvenile from Bend attempted to turn east on Highway 20 from Old Bend Redmond and turned into the path of Kirkpatrick. Old Bend Redmond is controlled by a stop sign at this location.  Highway 20 traffic has right of way through the area. Kirkpatrick was transported to St. Charles Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.  Highway 20 traffic was restricted to one lane in each direction for approximately 45 minutes.  Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
