Suspect in Shooting In Custody ***Salem / Bar Fly's***

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office  - 11/30/18  On Monday, November 26, 2018, Lucias Rashaud Harris, age 39, was arrested by US Marshals at a home in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Mr. Harris was being sought as a suspect in a shooting that took place in April of 2018 on Lancaster Drive NE in Salem. Harris is being held in the Gwinnett County Jail in Lawrenceville, which is 30 miles northeast of Atlanta. Harris's warrants are for 3 counts of Attempted Aggravated Murder, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Riot. Mr. Harris will remain in Georgia pending extradition to Oregon, that time frame is unknown. Sheriff's Office Transition Center Walk Away

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office  - 11/30/18  On Thursday, November 29th at 7:41 p.m., Samuel Fry, age 21, walked away from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Transition Center located at 4000 Aumsville Highway in Salem.  Fry was at the center serving a sentence for the crimes of Unlawful Possession of Heroin and Giving False Information to Police. DUII Suspected in Hit-and-Run Crash

Sheriff's Office  - 11/29/18  WHITE CITY, Ore. – Quick sharing of information and some good timing led to the arrest of a White City woman after a hit-and-run crash Wednesday evening.  Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies say Aubrey Danielle Fitzgerald, 32, was driving on Beagle Road when she struck a garbage can on a residential driveway and drove away.  A deputy located her driving near the Medford Airport minutes later.   “The driver was able to cover 13 miles from the point of the crash until she was stopped,” said JCSO Sgt. Oregon State Police requesting public's assistance in waste of elk in Washington County

Oregon State Police  - 11/29/18  The Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division is seeking public's assistance to help identify the person(s) responsible for the unlawful killing and waste of a bull elk in rural Washington County. On November 10, 2018, Oregon State Police Troopers received information about a group of hunters that shot 2 bull elk.  The hunters were on Weyerhaeuser property near Wolf Creek Road and Timber Road and it is believed they did not have permits to be there.  One of the reporting parties was watching the subjects from some nearby trees as they were field dressing one elk.  When the Troopers arrived, the hunters were no longer in the area.  One elk had been harvested and the other spike elk was left to waste.  An area check for the hunters was unsuccessful.  The Troopers salvaged most of the meat from the wasted elk and it was taken to The Meating Place in Hillsboro for donation to the Portland Rescue Mission. Single Vehicle fatal crash on Holland Loop Rd. - Josephine County

Oregon State Police  - 11/29/18  On Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at approximately 7:30 PM Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Holland Loop Rd. near milepost 3. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Toyota Tacoma PU, operated by John Festvog (37) of Colfax, Iowa,  was traveling on Holland Loop Rd. when he left the roadway and struck a tree. Festvog sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Speed, alcohol, and lack of safety belt use are being investigated as factors in this crash. OSP was assisted by Illinois Valley Fire Department.

Fugitive Brandon Blouin Arrested in Bend Today

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 11/28/18 On November 28, 2018, detectives with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip that fugitive Brandon M. Blouin was staying at a motel in Bend.  A nationwide arrest warrant had been issued for Blouin after he failed to appear in Deschutes County Circuit Court earlier this month on pending charges of Abandonment of a Child, Child Neglect, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, Criminal Mistreatment, and Felon in Possession of Body Armor.  Detectives worked quickly to determine which motel Blouin was at and along with the assistance of the Bend Police Department, set up surveillance at the Motel 6 in Bend, located at 201 NE 3rd Street. At approximately 11:15am, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Blouin as he exited his motel room.  Blouin was subsequently transported to and lodged in the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Adult Jail.  At the time of his arrest, Blouin was found in possession of a dagg

Oregon State Police  - 11/28/18  On Monday, November 26, 2018 at approximately 7:27 A.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the report of a hit and run crash on Hwy 99E at the intersection of Howell Prairie Rd.   Investigation revealed that a Chrysler PT Cruiser, operated by Luis Herrera Alvarez (41) was traveling northbound on Hwy 99E when he struck a Subaru Impreza, operated by Tatiana Reutov-Skorohodoff (23) of Salem, that was stopped on Howell Prairie Rd. waiting to turn southbound onto Hwy 99E. The Subaru Impreza was then pushed into a Chevrolet Malibu, operated by Jasmin Cortes-Garcia (23) of Mt. Angel, that was also stopped on Howell Prairie Rd. waiting to turn northbound onto Hwy 99E. Fatal vehicle crash on Hwy 101 - Coos County

Oregon State Police  - 11/27/18  On Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at approximately 1:00 P.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a two vehicle crash on Hwy 101 near milepost 229. Preliminary investigation shows that a Honda Accord, operated by Ashley Ridenour (31) of Reedsport, was traveling southbound on Hwy 101 when for unknown reasons crossed the centerline and struck a Dodge PU towing a travel trailer, operated by John Bohmfalk (72) of Coulee Dam, WA. Ridenour sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Bohmfalk and his passenger, Vicki Bohmfalk (68) of Coulee Dam, WA. sustained minor injuries. Mast Bros Towing is working to remove the pickup and trailer.  The roadway is expected to be open by 6:30 PM or before if possible.  OSP was assisted by North Bend Ambulance, Coos County Sheriff's Office, North Bay Fire Department, Hauser Fire Department, Bay City Ambulance, and ODOT.

Commercial Structure Fire - 2525 NE Stephens Street, Apartment #6

Roseburg Fire Department  - 11/27/18  At 2:57 p.m. on November 27, 2018, the Roseburg Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial structure fire at 2525 NE Stephens Street, Apartment #6.  Multiple neighbors reported smoke showing inside the building with occupants being evacuated. Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke showing from outside the two-story structure.  Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and flames showing inside of apartment #6 with smoke throughout the hallway of the 2-story apartment complex.  Firefighters checked the structure for occupants and quickly extinguished the fire. They were able to protect the surrounding apartments from further damage.  The fire was contained to the kitchen in apartment #6.  According to fire investigators, the fire was caused by a frying pan left unattended on the kitchen stove.  The commercial structure, which is valued at $3,800,000, suffered approximately $10,000 in smoke and structural damage.  The occupant of the

District Attorney's Office  - 11/27/18  Today, Multnomah County District Attorney Rod Underhill announced a 71-count indictment was unsealed after 34-year-old Johnny Tuck Chee Chan appeared in Multnomah County Circuit Court. Chan was arrested on November 26, 2018 by members of the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force in the 9900 block of Northeast Cascades Parkway in Portland, Oregon. Upon his arrest, Chan was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center pursuant to a warrant that was issued on November 23, 2018. Chan’s arrest is the result of a year-long investigation conducted by the Portland Police Bureau’s Sex Crimes Unit and the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office. Portland Police Bureau  - 11/26/18  On Monday, November 26, 2018, at 6:31 p.m. Central Precinct officers arrested 37-year-old Justin C. Venable in connection with multiple reports of a suspect poking people in the Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard area with a thin rigid metal rod. This investigation began on Saturday, November 24, 2018, when officers assigned to Central and East Precincts began investigating the reports of a suspect approaching strangers and poking them with a thin rigid metal rod. During one of the investigations, officers learned a person who had come in contact with the suspect captured a picture of the suspect. As the investigation continued, officers learned the suspect in the picture was likely Venable. The Police Bureau and community members shared information about the incidents with the public. Portland Police Bureau  - 11/26/18  The suspect believed to be involved in multiple incidents in which community members reported being poked by a suspect with a slender rigid metal object has been identified as 37-year-old Justin C. Venable. Venable is described as a white male, 6'1" tall, 170 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde hair. A photograph of Venable is provided with this release. Officers continue to search for Venable. Arson Fires around Newport

Newport Police Dept.  - 11/26/18  On 11/23/18, Newport Police Department and Newport Fire Department responded to several Arson Fires around the City of Newport. The first fire was set at Betty Wheeler Field in one of the dugouts at about 1:40 p.m. which caused damage to a wooden bench and the dugout wall.  The second fire was set at about 2:30 p.m. in the loading dock of Rite Aid which caused damage to a vinyl fence. The third fire was set at about 2:40 p.m. in a recycling bin located at Rory Foley CPA Office.  This fire destroyed the recycling bin and caused damage to the building.  The fourth fire was set in the loading dock at Best Western Resort at about 2:50 p.m.  This fire was set in a pile of cardboard located next to the building.  The fifth fire was set in a cardboard recycling and storage area at Walmart at about 3:15 p.m.  This fire caused extensive damage to the fence surrounding the storage area along with many other items that were being stored there. Suspect Identified in Sunday Evening Domestic Violence and Shooting Investigation

Portland Police Bureau  - 11/26/18  The suspect arrested during a domestic violence assault investigation, in which the suspect is believed to have fired a gun, on Sunday, November 25, 2018 has been identified as 42-year-old Jason R. Wicker. Wicker was lodged at the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Domestic Violence Menacing (two counts), Domestic Violence Assault in the Fourth Degree, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon (two counts). Members with the Portland Police Bureau Family Services Division's Domestic Violence Reduction Unit and Tactical Operation Division's Gun Violence Response Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Arrest After Suspect Fires Gun During Domestic Violence Investigation in Portland's Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood

Portland Police Bureau  - 11/25/18  On Sunday, November 25, 2018, at 5:03 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to a residence in the 5000 block of Southeast 118th Avenue on the report of a domestic violence assault. When officers arrived on scene, they contacted the victim of the domestic violence assault, as well as several other people that had been inside the residence at the time of the disturbance. The victim and witnesses met officers outside and away from the residence where the disturbance occurred. During the investigation officers learned an adult male suspect was inside the residence, armed with several guns, and had reportedly struck the victim with the butt of a rifle. As officers continued to speak with the victim and witnesses, the suspect exited the residence. Officers believe the suspect fired a gun after he came out of the home. Portland Police Bureau  - 11/25/18  On Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 10:58 p.m., officers assigned to the Portland Police Bureau Tactical Operation Division's Gang Enforcement Team observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Southeast Division Street near Southeast 139th Avenue. Officers observed the vehicle was a black Mazda 3 sedan. When the officers submitted a records check on the vehicle's license plate, they learned the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. The Gang Enforcement Team officers turned on the emergency lights and siren to their patrol vehicle to perform a traffic stop on the driver of the stolen vehicle. The suspect sped away at a high rate of speed. Because of foggy conditions, limiting visibility, and the high volume of traffic, the officers did not pursue the vehicle; but provided information regarding the vehicle's description and direction of travel to officers in the area via police radio. Oregon State Police  - 11/24/18  On Friday, November 23, 2018 at approximately 7:20 pm, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two vehicle crash on Hwy 199 near milepost 22 near Selma, OR. Preliminary investigation revealed that a white 2005 Toyota Corolla, operated by Briana Varela (27) of Rogue River, OR was traveling southbound on Hwy 199 when for unknown reasons crossed into the northbound lanes of travel and struck a northbound maroon 2018 Nissan Versa, operated by Elizabeth Real of the United Kingdom. Varela was transported to Three Rivers Medical Center before being flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, where she was pronounced deceased from injuries sustained in the crash. Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 11/24/18 On November 23, 2018 at approximately 1500 hours Deputies from the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of NW Kingwood Dr. and NW Maple Ln for the report of a lost 18 year old male, Michael McManus from Redmond, Oregon   and his German Shepard. Upon arrival deputies learned Michael had been with his father, Daniel McManus running their dogs in the area when Michael and his dog became separated from his father. Deputies as well as Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Detectives began checking the area for Michael. A Bend K9 unit responded to the area to assist in the search. Approximately 21 members from the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office SAR Division were dispatched to the location to assist in the search. Thursday Night Death Investigation Continues

Portland Police Bureau  - 11/23/18  The Portland Police Bureau continues to investigate an incident that started during the evening of Thursday, November 22, 2018, near Southwest 6th Avenue and Southwest Mill Street after multiple people called 9-1-1 to report a man yelling and running through the streets in the area. The man was initially contacted by Portland State University Police Department Officers. Shortly after arriving on scene, Portland State University Police Department Officers requested assistance from Portland Police Bureau Central Precinct Officers who were also responding to the 9-1-1 calls, but had not yet arrived on scene. Two officers assigned to the Portland Police Bureau's Central Precinct arrived and assisted Portland State University Police Department Officers in restraining the subject. Sheriff's Office  - 11/23/18  Deputies are asking for the public's help in locating a missing elderly man from Portland.  HARVEY JONES, age 80, was reported missing by his family on November 23, 2018 after he failed to arrive at work.  JONES is 5'5" tall, weighs 155 pounds, has gray hair and hazel eyes.  JONES drives a tan colored 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab Truck, with OR plate ZSG346.  JONES was last seen wearing a blue/white jacket, khaki pants and white tennis shoes. Passenger dies in single vehicle crash on icy roads - Klamath County

Oregon State Police  - 11/22/18  On Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at approximately 10:37pm, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to Hwy 140W near milepost 41 for a single vehicle rollover crash. Investigation reveals that a 2006 Ford F250, operated by Andres Mares (19) of Klamath Falls, was traveling east on Hwy 140W when he lost control on the icy roadway. The vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and onto the west bound shoulder before rolling multiple times.  Mares was transported to Sky Lakes Medical center for injuries. There were three passengers in the Ford F250: Angel Briones Cendejas (18) of Klamath Falls sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased while enroute to the hospital. Oregon State Police  - 11/22/18 On Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at approximately 1:20 PM Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 30 near milepost 17. Preliminary investigation reveals that a red Jeep, operated by James Jones (74) of Portland, was westbound on Hwy 30 when for unknown reasons drove off the road and down an embankment. Jones was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The possibility of Jones having a medical event, before the crash, is being investigated as a possible cause. 

Oregon State Police requesting public's assistance in waste of bull elk in Polk County

Oregon State Police  - 11/22/18 Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife is seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects involved in the waste of a branch bull elk in the Trask Unit on the first day of second season bull elk. A branch bull was found shot and left to waste on Miami Timber property between Hwy 22 and Hwy 18 near the head of Cedar Creek off the 9A3 Road.  At least two suspects likely walked in from the #28 Gate off Highway 22 either late Friday night - November 16 or before the season or early Saturday morning - November 17.  The bull elk was shot multiple times with a 30-06 rifle and a 6.5 creedmoor, the shells of which were recovered at the scene. Two Arrested on Drug Charges in Roseburg

Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT)  - 11/21/18  On Tuesday, November 20th, 2018, DINT arrested two subjects in the parking lot of a business in the 3000 block of Aviation Drive, in Roseburg.   31 year old Gina Bonatti, and 28 year old Brandon Belcher, both of Roseburg, were detained in the parking lot as result of a DINT investigation.  A search revealed approximately 1/4 ounce of methamphetamine, a small user amount of heroin, and approximately 2.5 ounces of imitation methamphetamine, likely sugar.   Both subjects were transported to the Douglas County Jail where they were lodged.  Brandon Belcher has been charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Delivery of Imitation Controlled Substance.  Gina Bonatti has been charged with Unlawful Possession of Heroin and Unlawful Delivery of Imitation Controlled Substance.

The suspect is currently in the hospital with a broken leg, and will soon be booked on a variety of charges. The case began just after 11 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2018. Deputies contracted to the  Happy Valley Police Department  responded to a call of a theft in-progress in the 11000 block of SE Cedar Way in Happy Valley. The caller told  dispatchers  that she had seen a male subject attempting to open the door to her mother's vehicle before walking to a neighbor's house and steal items out of another vehicle.
