Idaho Fugitive Flees During Domestic Disturbance - Captured by K9

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 05/31/18 On Thursday, May 31st, 2018, at 1:30PM, Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in progress at the Five Pines Lodge and Conference Center in the City of Sisters. A Deputy arrived and contacted Baily J. Redwing to investigate the disturbance. During the initial investigation, it was determined that Redwing had outstanding arrest warrants in Kootenai County, Idaho. The Deputy began to arrest Redwing for the outstanding warrants when he broke away from the Deputy and fled south towards the Sisters waste water treatment plant. The Deputy gave chase through the conference center until he lost sight of him. Bend Police Dept.  - 05/31/18 Date & Time of Incident:  May 31, 2018                                                                      Type of Incident:   Distracted Driving Enforcement                                            Location of Incident:   SE 9th/ SE Wilson and SW Simpson/SW Columbia Narrative: Updated release on May 31 Bend Police Officer conducted the Distracted Driving Enforcement today at the previously released locations. Officers made 73 stops, mostly for drivers using their cell phones while operating a motor vehicle. Here are some of the statistics from the detail: 36 drivers were issued citations for driving while operating their cell phone. 5 drivers were issued citations for other violations 11 drivers were issued warnings for cell phone usage. 5 drivers were issued warnings for other violations. Toddler Hospitalized After Accidental Marijuana Edible Overdose

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 05/31/18 On May 30th, 2018, at approximately 5:15PM, Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Deputies and La Pine Fire Paramedics responded to an emergency medical aid call on the 14000 block of White Pine Way, in La Pine. Joy reported that her 2 year old son consumed a THC-infused candy left on a table. First responders arrived to find the toddler in distress. Paramedics transported the 2 year old to St. Charles Medical Center with life-threatening overdose symptoms. Deputies investigated and determined that Katelynn Joy, the mother of the child, left the THC infused candy unsecured and unattended when the toddler ate it. The mother later discovered the partially eaten candy and waited several hours until the THC overdose symptoms worsened before calling 911. It was determined that the THC infused candies in this case were homemade and ingredients or amount of THC are unknown. THC stands for delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, and is the mind-alterin

Fatal crash Hwy 199 South of Grants Pass

Oregon State Police  - 05/31/18  On Thursday May 31, 2018, at approximately 8:48 AM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to  the report of a two vehicle crash on US Hwy 199 near milepost 5, just south of Grants Pass in Josephine County. Preliminary investigation revealed that a silver 2004 Ford F150 pickup, operated by Francis COULTER, age 46, of Cave Junction was travelling north on US Hwy 199 when for unknown reasons veered into oncoming lanes and crashed into a southbound Pacific Power utility truck head-on. COULTER suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. The Pacific Power truck was operated by Jeffery KRAMER, age 43, of Grants Pass.  KRAMER was transported to Three Rivers Medical Center with serious injuries.

Two Suspects Arrested, Gun Seized During Early Morning Traffic Stop

Portland Police Bureau  - 05/31/18  On Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 2:34 a.m., Central Precinct officers attempted to stop a vehicle and the occupants of the vehicle in the area of Southwest 4th Avenue and Southwest Oak Street. Central Precinct Entertainment Detail officers, working in Downtown Portland, attempted to stop a silver Buick sedan after observing the driver of the Buick perform a traffic violation. The driver drove away from officers when they turned on their emergency lights. After fleeing from officers, the driver suddenly stopped the Buick near Southwest Broadway and Southwest Oak. As the vehicle came to a stop, the driver and two other occupants ran from the car. Officers pursued the occupants of the vehicle on foot and located and arrested the front seat passenger of the vehicle. Public's Help Sought in Locating Missing 46-Year-Old Woman

Portland Police Bureau  - 05/31/18 UPDATE-Marvella Rauda-Nambo has been found safe and has been reunited with family.  The Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help to locate 46-year-old Marvella Rauda-Nambo, last seen near Southeast 100th Avenue and Southeast Division Street. Rauda-Nambo is described as a Hispanic female, 5'00" tall, 130 pounds, with dark brown hair that is often pulled into a ponytail. Rauda-Nambo has an intellectual disability and functions at an eight-year-old's level. She was last seen wearing a light pink zippered hooded sweatshirt with black letters, dark pants, and carrying a bright orange backpack with the Easter Seal's logo. Rauda-Nambo was dropped off by a ride-service for an appointment in the area of Southeast 100th Avenue and Southeast Division Street this afternoon, but never arrived for a scheduled appointment. Arrest Made in Taxi Cab Robbery

Medford Police Dept.  - 05/31/18  On May 29th, 2018 at about 11:01 p.m., Medford Police officers were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery of a cab driver in the 700 block of Northwood Drive. Officers responded and utilized a police canine to track the suspect who fled in a westbound direction. Although the suspect was not located, the canine was able to find evidence discarded by the suspect, near some apartments in the 1000 block of Spring Street. The victim cab driver reported that she picked up a fare at the Bear Creek Shopping Center, approximately 20 minutes prior to the robbery. After driving him to two locations, the suspect displayed a gun and robbed her of money.  The victim was able to provide a description. The cab was processed by a forensic technician. Detectives were then able to tie the suspect, Raymond Mathes, 27 years old, to the crime based on forensic evidence located on the cab. Suspect In Custody After Vehicle Pursuit - Union County

Oregon State Police  - 05/31/18  On Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at about 12:25 p.m., Oregon State Police Troopers from the La Grande Area Command pursued a vehicle that was driving recklessly on Interstate 84, near milepost 258 westbound (two miles west of La Grande). Preliminary investigation revealed that a Green 1997 Toyota Camry operated by a 17-year-old male from Boise, Idaho, was traveling westbound on Interstate 84 near milepost 278 at a high rate of speed. When OSP attempted to stop him for speed, the vehicle continued to drive in a reckless manner at speeds over 110 MPH and the attempt to stop it was terminated and Troopers disengaged due to safety reasons. At milepost 258 westbound, a pursuit was initiated by another Trooper due to the continued reckless driving until milepost 257 when the Camry crashed into the guardrail and adjacent woods. 5/31/18  PATROL: Roseburg Police OFFICER: RPD DATE: 05/30/2018 LOCATION: W Harvard & W Bellows Roseburg TIME: 1225 INCIDENT: Non Injury Traffic Crash CASE # 18-2462 PERSON(S): Driver ; Bryant, Dale Edward 11/54 Yoncalla CHARGE(S): Driving Uninsured Driving While Suspended Failure of a Previous Violator to File VEHICLE(S): Blue Kenworth Log Truck DETAIL(S): Bryant took the 124 SB off ramp and was in the process of making a right (eastbound) turn onto Harvard. Bryant was operating a self-loading log truck. The trailer assembly broke and the load of 16' logs were dumped onto the roadway. Whitaker Logging responded to assist and the logs were loaded onto a separate truck and removed from the area. DISPO: Bryant was issued the above citations and there were no damages to any property.
