Robbery At Marijuana Dispensary

Beaverton Police Dept.  - 03/31/18  On March 31st, 2018 at 11:41 am, Beaverton Police officers responded to a robbery at Growing ReLeaf located at 4160 SW 109th Ave Beaverton, Oregon. Store employees told officers a male stole a glass jar full of marijuana and ran out the front door. Store employees stated they confronted the male as he was trying to get into a vehicle. A store employee said the male pushed the employee to the ground and threatened the employee. A store employee told officers a female was driving the get-away vehicle. The marijuana was worth over $1000 dollars. Officers reviewed the security footage and was able to identify the suspect as 23-year-old Devonte Gregory Stewart from Portland. Mr. Stewart is also wanted by Beaverton Police Department in connection with a theft at the same location in February. The female accomplice has not yet been identified. Impaired Driver Crashes Car Injuring her Child

Washington Co. Sheriff's Office  - 03/31/18  March 30, 2018 – Yesterday, deputies arrested an impaired driver after she crashed into a parked car, injuring her child passenger. On Friday, March 30, 2018, at 6:18 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a reported heavily intoxicated female at 7700 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway. It was reported the female placed a small child in a white Chevy Cruze and drove away. The concerned citizen did provide a license plate number. A Sheriff’s Deputy located the Chevy as it was driving westbound on SW Farmington Road. The Sheriff’s Deputy tried to stop the Chevy but the driver failed to stop. The car accelerated and sped westbound on SW Farmington Road, not stopping at red lights. For safety reasons, the Sheriff’s Deputy did not pursue the vehicle. Police Seek Help Finding Missing 14-Year-Old Girl

Gresham Police Dept  - 03/30/18    UPDATE-03/31/18 12:59 AM Missing 14-year-old Madison Taussig has been located. She is safe and will be reunited with her family. Thanks to everyone that assisted in locating her. Gresham, Ore. – Police are looking for a missing 14-year-old girl who ran away from her Gresham residence on March 28. Madison Taussig is described as a white female with blonde hair and green eyes. She is approximately 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighs 105 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with gold lettering, black sweatpants and white shoes. Police believe that she may be with her 18-year-old boyfriend Austin Webster. Anyone who has information about Taussig’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the non-emergency police dispatch line at 503.823.3333.  

Injury Motor Vehicle Crash Terrebonne

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 03/30/2018 On March 30th at approximately 6:35am, deputies were dispatched to a vehicle rollover on NW 43rd St. near NW Chinook Dr.  Deputies determined that the driver, George Johnson, swerved to miss a deer while negotiating curves traveling southbound at this location.  His vehicle lost control and went off the west shoulder and rolled coming to rest on its roof.  Johnson was able to remove himself from the vehicle and was transported by ground ambulance by Redmond Fire Department to St. Charles Hospital in Redmond with non-life threatening injuries.  The roadway was not blocked as a result of this crash.  Speed, alcohol, or other distracted driver are not believed to be factors in this crash. Body of missing Guardsman recovered by Multnomah County marine deputies

Clackamas Co. Sheriff's Office  - 03/30/18  Please reference CCSO Case # 18-000728 The body of missing Oregon Air National Guardsman  Martin Nance , 49, has been recovered by Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol deputies. Authorities do not suspect foul play in Mr. Nance's disappearance or death. For details on the recovery, including date and location, contact the  Multnomah County Sheriff's Office . For details on cause of death, contact the  Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office . Family notifications have been completed. His family is requesting no media contact at this time as they deal with their loss. Mr. Nance was reported missing in early January 2018 after failing to show up for duties at his Portland airbase. His rental car and cell phone were located in Portland's Sellwood neighborhood on Tuesday, Jan. 9. He had been a reservist for 32 years.

Sheriff's Office seeks tips following March 29 shooting in Clackamas Town Center parking lot

Clackamas Co. Sheriff's Office  - 03/30/18  Please reference CCSO Case # 18-009582 At approximately 8:57 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018, several 911 calls came in reporting gunfire in the parking lot of the Clackamas Town Center mall (12000 SE 82nd Ave., Clackamas County). Callers reported hearing anywhere from 5 to 10 shots fired and seeing two males run from the parking lot -- as well as one male, who appeared to be shot, running into the mall. Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene along with other agencies, including Transit Police, Milwaukie PD and Gladstone PD. Transit Police located one adult male with multiple gunshot wounds just inside the front entrance of the Macy’s Home Store, on the ground near a bed display. The victim told authorities he was shot by two African-American men while walking to his car. The shooting occurred in the parking lot on the north side of the mall, near the entrance to the Century Clackamas Town Center mov

HOMELESS MAN SETS HISTORIC TUGBOAT IRENE ON FIRE

Coos County March 29, 2018 On Thursday, March 29th at about 0130 hours, The Coos Bay Police Department and Coos Bay Fire Department responded to a report of smoke coming from the historic Tugboat Irene displayed in the 400 block of North Bayshore Drive. Coos Bay Police arrived and officers found there was a fire burning inside the boat and 60 year old Jeffery Warner standing on the stern of the boat. Warner told officers he was just tryin g to stay warm, inferring that he started the fire. Coos Bay Fire was able to extinguish the blaze, which caused some structural damage to the inside of the boat. During the investigation, Coos Bay Police found property inside the boat belonging to Warner. A Greyhound bus ticket was located, showing Warner in the community from Medford a little more than seven hours before the fire. Warner, who is homeless, was able to get one of the doors open on the boat and decided to set up camp inside. It appeared Warner started the small fire in the boat

Bend Police Dept.  - 03/30/18 5:23 AM Suspect: Christopher Lee Hughes 32 year old Bend, Oregon Resident Charges: Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon (Switch blade) Theft I (by receiving stolen property) Investigation Details: On March 29, 2018, at about 2121 hours, a Bend Police Officer executed a traffic stop near the location of SE 4th Street and SE Railroad Street within the city limits of Bend, Oregon. While initiating the traffic stop, which involved a black BMW sedan, a bag was thrown from the passenger side of the vehicle. Serious injury crash on Interstate 5 north of Kruse Way -- Washington County

Oregon State Police  - 03/30/18 5:59 AM On March 30th at approximately 1:58 am the Oregon State Police was dispatched to a head-on motor vehicle crash on Interstate 5 just north of Kruse Way, involving a semi-truck and passenger car.  This location is within the city limits of Lake Oswego. Preliminary investigation revealed that a black 2015 Mazda M6, operated by Sydney Lopez MARTINEZ, age 25, of Cornelius, was traveling southbound on Interstate 5 in the northbound lanes of travel.  As MARTINEZ continued southbound, a white 2015 Volvo semi-truck and trailer, operated by James CROPPER, age 66, of Gervais was traveling northbound in the middle lane of travel. CROPPER observed the Mazda’s headlights coming directly at his truck and swerved to the right in an attempt to avoid a collision.  While executing this avoidance maneuver, CROPPER sideswiped a red 2015 Freightliner semi-truck and trailer, operated by Victor AMARO, age 29, of California, in the right lane of travel. Wrong Way Driver Arrested for DUII on Interstate 5 - Marion County

Oregon State Police  - 03/30/18  On Thursday, March 29, 2018 at approximately 10:31pm OSP Troopers responded to a report of a wrong way driver on Interstate 5 near Portland Road in Salem, Oregon.  The report was that a vehicle was traveling south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near mile post 258.  The vehicle, a gray 2005 Ford Escape was observed by OSP traveling southbound on the inside shoulder of Interstate 5 northbound lanes near mile post 256.  The vehicle's operator did not respond to emergency lights and siren and passed by an OSP Trooper who was northbound.  Another OSP Trooper was able to get the northbound traffic stopped near milepost 253.  The Escape passed by another OSP Trooper and slowed slighty.  An OSP K9 Trooper operating a Tahoe was able to hit the supsect vehicle in the left front corner panel with the left corner of his patrol vehicle.  No one was injured including K9 Keeno.  The driver, Kayla LEEDHAM (24) of Salem, Oregon was taken out of the vehic

Oregon State Police  - 03/30/18  Update - Full name On Thursday March 29, 2018 at 1:13 P.M., Medford Police Officers responded to a report of a menacing with a firearm at a residence in the 1000 block of Garfield Street, Medford, Oregon. The complainant reported being menaced by the suspect, later identified as William Allen SHELTON Jr. (41), with a firearm at the residence. The complainant reported there were multiple children at the residence. Multiple officers responded and began attempts to contact the suspect who was hostile and non-compliant. Contact was made with SHELTON Jr. and an attempt to negotiate with SHELTON Jr. began. Several Medford Police Officers, Detectives, SWAT members, and hostage negotiators were on scene. Officers reported the first shot fired from SHELTON Jr. at 2:09 P.M.  SHELTON Jr. then exited the residence at 2:09 P.M. armed with a rifle. SHELTON Jr. fired additional shots. Three Arrested After Robbery

Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office  - 03/30/18  Central Point, Ore – Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a robbery in Central Point, in the area of Honeytree Lane.  On March 29, 2018 at 8:27 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call reporting the incident. Three individuals have been lodged in the Jackson County Jail on charges including assault, robbery, felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Deputies report James Ward, 35, of Medford along with Trevor Ettinger, 35, of Medford, and Desiree Conley, 26, of Medford went to the location with the intent of stealing a car.  During a confrontation with the residents, one of the victims was struck in the face with a handgun. The suspects fled the scene with the stolen vehicle prior to the arrival of deputies.  After a thorough investigation, and assistance from other local law enforcement agencies, all of the suspects were located and arres

ODOT: SW Oregon  - 03/30/18  REEDSPORT - All lanes are open between Reedsport and Scottsburg after a tree and rock slide closed the highway near mile point 12 earlier today. ODOT crews were able to push the boulder, estimated about 10 by 12 feet, out of the traffic lanes. Crews will come back next week after the Easter weekend to remove the boulder and other debris.

Sheriff's Office  - 03/29/18 4:32 PM Please reference CCSO Case # 17-33830 UPDATE (Thursday, March 29, 2018, 4:30 p.m.) -- VIDEO, PHOTOS, INCIDENT TIMELINE Following testimony on Feb. 14 and 15, a Clackamas County Grand Jury returned a "No True Bill" in the Dec. 26, 2017 officer-involved shooting of  Nathaniel Fritz Macalevy , 44, of Boring. The Clackamas County District Attorney's Office informed the Sheriff's Office on Feb. 21 it would pursue no criminal charges in the incident. The shooting followed a Dec. 25 deputy response to a call about a restraining-order violation -- a call that led to a SWAT response on SE Ten Eyck Rd. followed by a multi-vehicle Dec. 26 pursuit to the suspect's residence in Boring, where Macalevy opened fire on deputies with an AR-15 rifle, damaging multiple patrol vehicles. Oregon State Police  - 03/29/18 1:40 PM Update On Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at approximately 2:41am, OSP Troopers responded to a single motor vehicle crash on Highway 99W near milepost 106.5 northbound approaching the intersection of Lingo Lane.  Preliminary investigation revealed that a brown 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup driven by Kenneth Anthony WHITLEY (38) of Eugene, Oregon left the roadway to the west for an unknown reason crossing over the southbound lane.  The Dodge travelled approximately 386 feet in the southbound ditch before striking a large tree and coming to final rest.  The Dodge caught fire after the crash.  WHITLEY was not believed to have been belted and was ejected from the vehicle.  WHITLEY was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Next of kin notification has been made.  The vehicle was recovered by T&M towing.  OSP was assisted at the scene by Oregon Department of Transportation, Junction City Fire & Rescue and the Junction City Police Department.  The inves

Three Josephine County Men Arrested on Armed Robbery and Weapon Charges - Josephine County

Oregon State Police  - 03/29/18  On March 24th, 2018, Troopers from the Grants Pass Oregon State Police Office responded to a reported armed robbery which had just occurred at the New Hope Market in Josephine County.  Upon the troopers arrival, the suspects had left the area.  Detectives from the Oregon State Police Criminal Division responded and assumed the investigation.  While investigating the New Hope Market Robbery, Detectives learned about a similar Armed Robbery, which occurred on March 7th, 2018 at Levi’s Market in Josephine County.  Detectives incorporated the March 7th incident into their criminal investigation, which has been ongoing since that time. Two Vehicle Crash Injures Two on US 97 Near Highway 31 in Klamath County

Oregon State Police  - 03/29/18  On March 29, 2018 at approximately 7:25am, OSP Troopers responded to a two vehicle injury crash on US 97 at the junction of Highway 31 in Klamath County, Oregon.  Preliminary investigation revealed that a black 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup  was traveling southbound and making a left turn onto Highway 31.  The male operator and lone occupant of the vehicle turned directly into the path of a white 2007 Hyundai Accent 4-door operated by a lone male operator.  The crash then occurred in the northbound lane of Hwy 97.  Both vehicles came to an uncontrolled rest at this location.  The driver of the pickup was transported to St. Charles in Bend with injuries.  An air ambulance was dispatched for the driver of the white Hyundai who was flown to St. Charles in Bend with injuries.  Highway 97 and 31 were blocked for approximately 1 hour.   OSP was assisted at the scene by the Oregon Department of Transportation, the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office, Ai

Oregon State Police  - 03/29/18  Update On March 28, 2018, at approximately 7:02 a.m., OSP Troopers from the Springfield Area Command responded to a two vehicle fatal crash on Hwy 99N near Milepost 114 near Meadow Lane in Lane County, Oregon. Preliminary investigation indicates a red 2015 Toyota Corolla being operated by a Richard Wayne EVANS (65) of Eugene, Oregon was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of travel and collided with an oncoming southbound white 2010 Chevrolet Malibu being operated by Sharon Adele SKINNER (58) of Eugene, Oregon.  EVANS suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene by medical personnel.  SKINNER was transported to Riverbend Hospital and later succumbed to her injuries. Both EVANS and SKINNER were wearing safety restraints and airbags in both vehicles deployed.  Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.  It is unknown at this time why EVANS was traveling in the oncoming lanes.  Next of kin notifications have been made. Linn County Sheriff's Detectives Make Arrest in Millersburg Hit and Run Case from December

Linn County Sheriff's Office  - 03/29/18 Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports today his Detectives arrested 34-year old Nicholas Popken of Corvallis after several months of investigation in regards to a hit and run on December 12, 2017.  The location of the hit and run was near the address of 1600 NE Old Salem Road in Millersburg.  The victim, a 38-year old female, who is from Florida, was struck by a vehicle while walking in the area.  She was found by a passerby.  She suffered life threatening injuries and was in the hospital for over three weeks before her release. Popken was contacted within a few days of the female being found unconscious on the side of NE Old Salem Road.  He admitted he thought he was responsible for hitting her.  Early evidence left at the scene indicated a Volkswagen Jetta was likely the type of vehicle that hit the female.  Popken was in possession of a damaged Volkswagen Jetta at the time he came forward and cooperated with the investigation. Cave Junction Man Shot during attempted Burglary of Residence - Josephine County

Oregon State Police  - 03/28/18 On Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Troopers from the Oregon State Police Grants Pass patrol office responded to a reported burglary in Cave Junction, Oregon.  Initial reports indicated the reporting party, and homeowner, had shot a subject while he was breaking into his residence. The suspect was shot in the leg and was laying in the homeowner’s yard at the time of call. Oregon State Police Detectives responded to assist patrol with the investigation. It was determined the suspect, identified as Kristopher Alan Nelson (28) of Cave Junction, Oregon attempted to force entry into the residence.  The home owner fired warning shots and when Nelson continued his attack Nelson was shot in the leg. The homeowner is cooperating with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending for Nelson. No charges are expected for the homeowner at this time. Oregon State Police  - 03/28/18 On March 28, 2018, at approximately 7:02 a.m., OSP Troopers from the Springfield Area Command responded to a two vehicle fatal crash on Hwy 99N near Milepost 114 near Meadow Lane in Lane County, Oregon. Preliminary investigation indicates a red 2015 Toyota Corolla being operated by a 65 year old male was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of travel and collided with an oncoming southbound white 2010 Chevrolet Malibu being operated by 58 year old female.  The 65 year old male suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene by medical personnel. The female driver was transported to Riverbend Hospital and later succumbed to her injuries. Climbers Rescued From Wherever I May Roam At Smith Rock State Park

Bryan Husband, Search and Rescue Coordinator Rescued:  Alex Chmiel, 24 year old male, Portland, OR Rescued:  Connor Enos, 24 year old male, Missoula, MT Rescued:  Stewart Reiswig, 34 year old male, Portland, OR On 03/27/18, at about 8:33pm, 9-1-1 Dispatch received a call from Alex Chmiel, reporting he and his two friends, Enos and Reiswig had been climbing at Smith Rock State Park and had become stuck on the climbing route "Wherever I May Roam".  Chmiel reported he and his friends had successfully climbed to the top of Wherever I May Roam and then shortly after beginning their decent via rappel, their rope became stuck at some point above them and they were unable to descend any further.  Chmiel reported they had sufficient food and clothing for the weather, but were stranded on a rock ledge, which was later determined to be approximately 250 feet above the climber's trail below. Attempted Kidnap Suspect Pleads To 100 Months

Beaverton Police Dept.  - 03/27/18  On March 22nd, 2018 Robert Friesen pled guilty to Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree and Attempted Kidnapping in the First Degree in Washington County Circuit Court. In June of 2017, Beaverton Police investigated the attempted kidnapping of a 16-year-old girl in the 5800 block of SW Erickson Ave. In September of 2017, detectives arrested and charged Mr. Friesen with Attempted Kidnapping in the First Degree, Menacing and Unlawful Use Of A Weapon. Evidence collected during the course of our investigation helped link Mr. Friesen to a sexual assault which occurred in unincorporated Washington County in May 2017. Mr. Friesen's victim in this case was a 25-year-old woman and occurred in the 5000 block of SW 173rd Ave. Mr. Friesen was sentenced to 100 months in prison, 20 years of post-prison supervision and sex offender registry for the Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree. Redmond Police Respond To Vehicle Crash, Driver & Passenger Arrested

Redmond Police Dept.  - 03/27/18  Redmond, OR -- Shortly after midnight, at 12:15 AM, on Tuesday morning March 27, 2018, Redmond Police officers responded to the 2000 block of NW Maple Ave after receiving a 911 phone call of a single-vehicle crash. This crash occurred just yards away from another DUII crash which happened on February 11, where a vehicle crashed into a residence. Arriving officers contacted two people who had been able to remove themselves from the vehicle after the crash. The driver, Aaron Faherty, 31-years-old and Redmond resident, was uninjured. The passenger, Aaron Kuper, 31-years-old and a Redmond resident received minor injuries. Crime Stoppers of Oregon  - 03/27/18  The Portland Fire & Rescue Arson Unit, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to identify the suspect in a 2017 arson fire. On August 9, 2017, at 8:40 p.m., a fire was reported at a mobile home community located at 16901 Southeast Division Street. An unknown male subject on a bicycle was caught on video leaving the crime scene, carrying items that he obtained while inside a trailer. The suspect is believed to be a white male adult on a bicycle. Eighty-Three Horses Removed from Terrebonne Property Due to Neglect

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 03/26/18  On March 24th, at approximately 3:18pm, deputies with the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 4700 block of NE Smith Rock Way regarding possible horse neglect. The reporting party expressed concern over a horse with an eye injury and hoof neglect. Deputies contacted the horse owner that afternoon and determined there were a large number of horses on the property that were suffering from mild to severe neglect. Based on the observations at the scene, deputies began working on a large scale horse removal operation, including organizing volunteers to help move the horses to the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Rescue Ranch in Bend. On March 25th, deputies returned to the property and began removing 83 horses from the property. They partnered with the Pet Evacuation Team (PET) and Mustangs to the Rescue to remove and transport 83 horses to the Sheriff's Office Rescue Ranch in Bend. Two other horses on

Theft of ATM machine from K Market on NW Albany

Bend Police Dept.  - 03/26/18  Bend Police Department   Case # 2018-00086377 On Monday, March 26th, 2018 at 0536 hours, Bend Police officers responded to the K market at 1400 NW Albany on a reported burglary to the business. At approximately 0330 hours, a male subject is seen on video surveillance breaking a front window to the business and then backing a darker colored SUV up to the window. A lone male adult is seen removing the ATM machine from within the business and then leaving the scene. A still photograph of the suspect and vehicle are attached.
