Stretch Limousine Crash Leads to a Bend Man's DUII Arrest

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/31/18  On October 31, 2018 at approximately 8:37PM Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Bear Creek Rd and Ten Barr Ranch Rd. DCSO Deputies arrived to find a black Lincoln stretch limousine Town Car crashed through a horse pasture fence and resting on a mound of rocks. Deputies contacted Christopher Ray Grant (Age 46) and Amanda Mae Gehman (Age 33), both of Bend, Oregon. Grant and Gehman reported they hired the limousine and a chauffeur for the evening. While returning home from the date, the unknown limousine driver crashed and fled before Sheriff Deputies arrived. Neither was injured in the crash. SUCCESSFUL MULTI-AGENCY SEARCH AND RESCUE MISSION

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office October 31st, 2018  DIAMOND LAKE, Ore.  -- On Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 8:52 AM, Douglas County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue (SAR) was notified by Klamath County regarding a SPOT Personal Tracker device sending an SOS distress signal. Klamath County had been trying to locate the hiker since Monday evening within their county. New information obtained from the distress signal indicated the hiker was on the Pacific Crest Trail near Tipso Peak located within Douglas County. The parents of the distressed hiker also contacted law enforcement. It was determined that the lost person was 36 year-old Anat Taher Leb, a citizen of Israel. Douglas County SAR formed a team of 4 ground hikers, 2 horse riders with 3 horses from Oregon State Police and a plane from the Civil Air Patrol. Crime Stoppers of Oregon  - 10/31/18  The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a 2013 homicide. On October 31, 2013, at 10:02 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the 3800 block of Northeast Shaver Street on the report of a person slumped in a vehicle. Officers and medical personnel arrived and determined that the person was deceased. After a preliminary investigation, Homicide detectives were called to the scene. The Oregon State Medical Examiner determined that the victim, 32-year-old Jose Manuel Alvarez-Madrigal, died of a gunshot wound. No witnesses have come forward and there is no suspect information in the case. Pedestrian struck on Interstate 5 - Jackson County

Oregon State Police  - 10/31/18  On Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at approximately 8:25 PM Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a commercial motor vehicle that had struck a pedestrian on Interstate 5 near milepost 34. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2014 Freightliner was traveling southbound on Interstate 5 when it struck a pedestrian.  The operator of the commercial motor vehicle is fully cooperating with the investigation. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Oregon State Police was assisted at the scene by EMS and Fire personnel and ODOT.

Oregon State Police  - 10/31/18  On Saturday, October 27, 2018, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a subject who had been shot in the leg in the Sunny Valley area. Deputies responded to the area and located a male subject who had a minor injury to their leg from an apparent gunshot.  Initial information is the injured subject was riding in the back of a pickup with several other individuals who were hunting in the local mountains. While driving down the mountain, they drove into an area where they were confronted by several individuals who were armed.  At least one round was fired towards the hunter’s vehicle, causing the injury. The Josephine County Sheriff’s Department requested assistance from the Oregon State Police Major Crimes Section and the Oregon State Police SWAT Team. Juvenile Plots to Kill Parents

Benton Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/30/18  CORVALLIS, Ore. – On Saturday, October 27, 2018, Benton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies took a 14-year-old male from Albany into custody on two charges of Attempted Aggravated Murder and Attempted Arson in the First Degree. Two days later, his 13-year-old male accomplice was taken into custody on two counts of Attempted Aggravated Murder, for the substantial steps he took toward aiding his friend in the crime. Neither of the juveniles have criminal histories. The 14-year-old was booked and lodged at the Linn-Benton Detention Center in Linn County on Saturday night. The 13-year-old was interviewed on Monday afternoon, admitted to giving his friend the sleep aid medication to kill his parents, and was subsequently taken into custody lodged at the same detention center. UPDATE (Tuesday, Oct. 30): Detectives ID body, make arrest in murder of woman left in ditch on Camp Namanu Road

Clackamas Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/30/18  Detectives have identified the body and made an arrest in the case of a woman murdered and then left in a ditch in the Bull Run/Sandy area. Working with the Portland Police Bureau, yesterday (Oct. 29) Sheriff's Office detectives were able to identify the body discovered on the morning of Oct. 28 as  Coral Rodriguez-Lorenzo , 38, of Southeast Portland. She had been listed as a missing person out of Portland. Detectives located and brought in the victim's husband,  Martin Gallo-Gallardo , 45, of southeast Portland, for questioning. During an Oct. 29 interview with a bilingual detective, Martin Gallo-Gallardo confessed to the murder of Coral Rodriguez-Lorenzo, and was arrested and booked into Clackamas County Jail on a charge of Murder. DCSO Deputies Investigate Stolen Mail Recovered From BLM Land Containing Election Ballots and Other Sensitive Mail

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/30/18  Bend, OR – Stolen Mail Recovered From BLM Land Contained Election Ballots and Other Sensitive Mail. DCSO Deputies Work With The County Clerk’s Office to Re-Issue Ballots. On October 28th, 2018, a Law Enforcement Ranger with the US Bureau of Land Management located stolen mail from over 70 addresses throughout Deschutes County. Rangers delivered the recovered mail to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and DCSO Deputies assumed the investigation. During unrelated investigations, additional mail was also recovered by DCSO Deputies from other remote locations around the county. While processing the recovered mail for evidence, Deputies discovered the stolen mail contained many election ballots for the upcoming November 6th election. In addition to the ballots, DCSO Deputies located property tax, utility, medical and bank statements in the recovered mail. Suspicious Device located at Brookswood Boulevard and Lodgepole Drive

Bend Police Dept.  - 10/30/18  On October 29th, 2018 at 5:28 pm a citizen reported a suspicious device located at the intersection of Brookswood Boulevard and Lodgepole Drive. The reporting person said the device was on the curb and looked like a pipe bomb. Officers from the Bend Police Department responded and located the device.  Officers were unable to determine if the device was dangerous so they called the Oregon State Police Bomb Squad in Salem Oregon. OSP Bomb Squad arrived at 8:35 pm and rendered the device safe. The device was transported to Salem where it will undergo further examination to identify it.

DUII Driver Crashes into Lincoln City Home

Lincoln City Police  - 10/29/18  On Sunday, Oct 28, 2018 at about 2:00 AM, Lincoln City Police were dispatched to 1420 NW 21st Street on a report that a motor vehicle had crashed into a house at that location. When officers arrived they found a silver 2017 Ford F-350 double cab 4x4 pick-up had crashed into the front of a house causing extensive damage to the house and the front of the pick-up. The driver of the pick-up was located at the scene by the arriving officer and was identified as 49-year-old Pablo Cantu Felix of Vancouver, Washington. Mr. Felix advised officers he was not injured during the crash. During the subsequent investigation it was determined Mr. Felix had been driving southbound on NW Jetty Ave at a high rate of speed when he failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of NW Jetty Ave and NW 21st St. Mr. Felix drove through the intersection, and then into and through a metal guard rail barrier and a fence, before crashing into the front of a house. Sheriff's Office  - 10/29/18 Please reference CCSO  Case # 18-29292 The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help as it works to identify a victim of a homicide, dumped in a ditch on SE Camp Namanu Road. At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, a Camp Namanu employee found the body of a female on SE Camp Namanu Rd., near the Sandy River in the Bull Run/Sandy area. Early determinations are that the body had been dumped sometime between Saturday evening and Sunday morning. The Sheriff's Office Forensic Imaging Unit is currently producing a sketch of the victim from photos of the body. The sketch is anticipated to be released in the near future. Roseburg Police Investigate Single Vehicle Crash

Roseburg Police Dept.  - 10/29/18  On October 28, 2018 at about 11:10 PM, Roseburg Police Department officers responded to a single vehicle collision in the 3000 block of NW Stewart Parkway. A 2003 Infiniti struck a retaining wall.  Both occupants were extracted from the vehicle, and transported to Mercy Medical Center after sustaining serious injuries. The passenger, a 35 year old Sutherlin man, and the driver, a 29 year old Oakland man, were later transported to River Bend Hospital and OHSU respectively. STABBING SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER ROSEBURG POLICE INVESTIGATION

Roseburg Police Dept. October 29th, 2018  On October 28, 2018, at approximately 12:28 AM, Roseburg Police Department officers responded to the 400 block of W. Fair Street in Roseburg regarding a report of a disturbance.  After investigating, officers allege Derek Lee Sulffridge, a 35 year old Oakland, Oregon resident, unlawfully entered into a 32 year old female’s apartment.  When the female returned to the apartment complex parking lot, she and Sulffridge engaged in an argument.  Sulffridge allegedly forced the female out of her vehicle and took her towards her apartment while holding a box cutter. A 37 year old Roseburg man known to the female, arrived in a vehicle.  Sulffridge allegedly used a box cutter to cut the other man’s neck causing serious injury.  The male victim was driven to Mercy Medical Center by a friend for treatment. Sulffridge allegedly took property belonging to the female and was later contacted at his residence in Oakland where he was taken into custody

Man Dies in Logging Accident

Benton Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/27/18  On October 26, 2018, at Benton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a logging accident, near the town of Alsea, Oregon. A 911 call came in at approximately 8:40 am after a log rolled on two men while working for Wiest Logging, on an active logging site, off Lobster Valley Road near Alsea, Oregon. An air ambulance was immediately requested, but declined due to bad weather conditions. Hector Rodarte, 27 years old, from Monmouth, Oregon was pronounced deceased at the scene. Ricky Payton, 29 years old, of Independence, Oregon, was hoisted out of a steep ravine by First Responders and transported to Good Sam Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Oregon. Corvallis Mountain Rescue, Corvallis Fire Department, Alsea Rural Fire, Weist Logging Employees and Benton County Sheriff's Office Deputies assisted in the rescue. Investigation is continuing.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery and Arrest

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/27/18  ROSEBURG ,  Ore. -  A deputy conducting patrols in Winchester shortly after 1:00 AM Friday located a stolen red 1998 Honda Civic on Pioneer Way. The vehicle was previously reported stolen to the Sutherlin Police Department. The deputy initiated a traffic stop on the stolen car at the Sunset Tavern and detained the driver, 37 year-old Michael R Love-Faust of Roseburg.  Two passengers, 22 year-old Sarah Nadine-Elisabeth Johnsen of Roseburg and 45 year-old Melissa Orth-Hagen of Sutherlin were also detained. A search of Johnsen's purse revealed approximately 2.8 ounces of methamphetamine.  Orth-Hagen was eventually released from the scene. Love-Faust and Johnsen were transported to the Douglas County Jail on their respective charges. Fatal Boating Accident Investigation

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/27/18  WINCHESTER BAY, Ore. -  A Salem woman died in a fatal boating accident Thursday evening.  Peter Warren Anderson of Waialua, Hawaii had been operating a 16' 6'' aluminum Tracker Marine vessel with three additional people on board. The subjects had been crabbing in the bay, when they decided to stop for the evening. Anderson was navigating the vessel on the way back to the port when the engine quit. Attempts to re-start the engine were unsuccessful as the vessel continued to drift with the outgoing tide.  The vessel eventually drifted to the north jetty where it was battered by incoming waves. Tenmile Man Arrested for Attempted Sexual Assault

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/27/18 TENMILE, Ore. -  A 57 year-old Tenmile man was booked into the Douglas County Jail Thursday night after assaulting an adult female known to him.  Deputies were called to a residence in the 100-block of Horseshoe Lane shortly after 9:00 pm for a report of an attempted sexual assault. Deputies spoke with the female reporting the incident and conducted a subsequent investigation. The suspect was identified as Jamie Dale Greer. Greer refused to come out and speak with deputies and made threats toward law enforcement to dispatchers.  Greer was ultimately taken into custody after he recklessly drove away from the house. Couple Survives After Canoe Capsizes

Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/25/18 JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. - Life jackets and a Good Samaritan saved the lives of a local couple whose canoe capsized on Fish Lake Thursday. JCSO marine patrol deputies and volunteers from Rocky Point Fire responded just after noon.  On October 25, 2018, at 12:34 p.m., a man called 911 to report he and his wife, both in their 60’s, were fishing when their boat capsized. Wearing life jackets, they swam toward shore. He made it out and summoned help for his wife who was struggling to move in the cold water about 30 feet from shore.  A bystander swam out to the woman and pulled her to shore. Fire rescuers met them on land and provided aid. The men were able to walk back to the boat ramp. Low water levels meant marine patrol deputies couldn’t launch a jet boat. They rowed across the lake in a raft to pick up the woman, and then rowed her back to a waiting Mercy Flights ambulance.  The woman was transported to Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center

BHO Lab Explosion

Albany Police  - 10/25/18  On October 23, 2018 at about 7:36 PM the Linn County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of a loud explosion in the 37000 block of River Drive in Lebanon, Oregon.  It was reported to be a drug lab explosion and there was someone badly injured.  When deputies arrived they found evidence of an explosion and fire damage to a conex style box trailer.  Lebanon Fire Department and members of the Albany Fire Department Hazardous Materials team responded.  26 year old, Nicholas Helms, a Lebanon resident, had been transported to the Lebanon Community Hospital with over 50% of his body burned.  Helms was later transported to OHSU. Members of the Linn Interagency Narcotics Enforcement (LINE) task force were called to the scene and began an investigation.  Evidence of an illegal BHO lab was seized along with multiple pounds of marijuana, US currency and firearms. Detectives Seeking Public's Help in Locating Rape Suspect (Salem)

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/25/18  Detectives with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office are seeking information on the whereabouts of Nathan Lamar Richardson (aka: Twan), age 39, of Salem.  In September detectives began investigating the rape of a minor, from their investigation Richardson has been identified as a suspect.  Richardson has a valid warrant for his arrest for a parole violation and may be with his girlfriend Alyssa Storms, age 19, of Salem.  Storms has a valid warrant for her arrest for possession of methamphetamine and theft in the third degree.  Richardson and Storms are both homeless and most likely in the Salem area.  If you see either person please do not attempt to apprehend.  If you see or have information regarding either person please contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 503 588 5032 or your local law enforcement.

Detectives Seeking Help Identifying Rape Suspect

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/25/18 In August of 2018, detectives with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the rape of a minor.  Detectives believe the male pictured offered a ride to the victim, drove her to a remote location and raped the victim. The suspect has been described as a white male adult, approximately 5'11", in his mid to late 50's, with lighter colored hair.  He was driving an older grey, square body style pickup. OREGON STATE POLICE REQUESTING PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE IN WASTE OF BULL ELK IN DOUGLAS COUNTY

Oregon State Police  October 25th, 2018  Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Troopers are asking for the public’s assistance in locating and apprehending the person(s) responsible for shooting a 5-point bull elk on the evening of Friday, October 19 or the morning of Saturday, October 20, 2018. Preliminary investigation revealed that the animal was shot and left to waste in a clear-cut 5 miles west of Cougar Creek Road and approximately 8 miles southwest of Tyee and the Umpqua River. Two vehicles of interest are a late 1980’s or 1990’s model, red Ford Ranger two door truck occupied by a male and a female approximately 20-30 years of age; and a white full-size 4 door truck occupied by two adult males approximately 40-50 years of age. Anyone with information about these or any other vehicles or individuals seen in the area on or about the timeframe listed is asked to call with information. OREGON STATE POLICE CONDUCTING SHOOTING INVESTIGATION IN JOSEPHINE COUNTY

Oregon State Police  October 25th, 2018  On October 24, 2018 at approximately 6:20 PM. Oregon State Police Troopers and Josephine County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a shooting call in the 4000 block of Foothills Blvd. Upon arrival officers located a deceased male on the deck of the residence. The residents, an elderly couple, have cooperated with the investigation and told investigators that the husband shot the male in self defense. Oregon State Police Detectives and the Josephine County District Attorney's office are continuing the investigation.

Happy Valley victim detains burglary suspect, HV police and CCSO respond and make arrest; Booking photos attached

Sheriff's Office  - 10/23/18  On October 18, 2018 at approximately 2:15 p.m. Happy Valley deputies and Clackamas County deputies responded to a reported residential burglary in progress in the 8900 block of SE 139th Ave., Happy Valley.  It was reported that the homeowner had detained a suspect who was leaving the residence carrying stolen items. Deputies arrived and found the homeowner had detained Edward Cerf, 20 years old from Oregon City, who was wearing a gray jumpsuit with the name “Shawn” on it.  Deputies also located admitted failed lookout Gabriella Solis, 19 years old from Milwaukie, approximately one block away as she sat sleeping in her vehicle. In a conversation with the homeowners, it was discovered that the residence had been burglarized multiple times and that they had recently installed security measures that they believe allowed them to catch the suspects in the act. Suspect arrested in July 3rd subway robbery

Medford Police Dept.  - 10/23/18 On July 3rd, 2018, at about 9:25 p.m., an unknown male brandished a firearm and robbed the Subway restaurant located at 1600 Delta Waters Road. The suspect fled prior to officers arrival, and officers used a police K9 to search the area. Clothing worn by the suspect was found in the area, but the suspect was never located.  Biological evidence located on the clothing led investigators to a suspect, Jason Michael Wright, 49 years old, who is a convicted felon. Detectives obtained additional evidence linking Wright to the armed robbery. On October 20th, 2018 at about 10:30 a.m., a Medford Police officer spotted Wright in the parking lot of Albertson's, 113 Ross Lane. Wright was arrested without incident. The weapon used in the robbery has not been recovered. UPDATE - Fatal crash Hwy 38 - Douglas County

Oregon State Police  - 10/23/18  The 2012 Kenworth truck was operated by Charles Stephens (59) from Eugene. Traffic is being controlled by flaggers as the spill is cleaned. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel are on scene of a commercial motor vehicle crash on Hwy 38 mile post 21, near Scottsburg in Douglas County. Preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 9:45 PM. a 2012 Kenworth truck towing double fuel tanks was westbound on Hwy 38 when it struck a large black cow standing in the roadway.  Vehicle lost control and traveled off the roadway and struck a power pole.   The operator of the truck sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cow is deceased. The commercial motor vehicle was carrying 7500 gallons of gasoline and 2500 gallons of diesel fuel.  An unknown amount of each substance has leaked out of the tanks.  Hazmat/cleanup crews are on scene assessing the amount of the leak and the environmental impact. Motorcyclist Lodged in Jail After Pursuit

Sheriff's Office  - 10/23/18  ROSEBURG, Ore. -  A Salem man on a 1994 Yamaha F6R motorcycle is now in the Douglas County Jail after he tried to elude deputies Monday afternoon.  45 year-old Kevin Wade Davison was operating the motorcycle when a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop for a traffic violation on Highway 99 near Superior Studs around 2:00 pm. Davison failed to stop attempted to pull away from deputies. The pursuit went into the Green District, onto Highway 99 and out Highway 42 in Winston. Davis turned onto Lookingglass Road and eventually onto Swan Hill Road where he crashed the motorcycle.  Davis further attempted to elude deputies on foot after crashing. He was apprehended a short time later and was taken into custody without incident. Vehicle Elude / Assault on a Police Officer / Unlawful Delivery of Heroin

Medford Police Dept.  - 10/22/18  On 10-21-18 at approximately 0430 hours, Detectives from MADGE (Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement Team) stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of Motel 6 (South) located at 950 Alba Dr. The vehicle they had stopped back up quickly striking one of the MADGE Vehicles and injuring an Officer (minor injury). The suspect vehicle then drove forward striking another vehicle and fled the parking lot. It then drove northbound through a couple of fences and through the Alba Baseball Fields. When the vehicle could go no further, the male driver (Kevin Leroy Holt) jumped out on foot and crossed I-5 towards the area of Earhart and Franquette. Multiple MPD units were in the area to assist and a K9 was deployed to track the suspect. Driver Crashes Minivan, Fights with Deputies

Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/22/18  CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – Deputies arrested a Prospect man who crashed his vehicle Saturday afternoon, and then retrieved a stolen handgun and fought with deputies.  Jacob Benjamin Hefner, 35, a convicted felon, is lodged in the Jackson County jail on numerous charges stemming from the incident. “This case just goes to show that there are no ‘routine’ calls in law enforcement,” said Jackson County Sheriff Nathan Sickler.  “The deputies handled this stressful situation with courage and prevented anyone from being injured.” On Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 4:36 p.m., Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies were dispatched to a rollover vehicle crash in the 9600-block of Blackwell Road.  A blue Kia Sedona minivan drove off the roadway and into a ditch before crashing through a fence and into a residential property. Another witness reported to dispatch that the operator of the minivan was driving recklessly just prior to the crash. 

Salem Police asking for public's help in year old homicide

Salem Police Dept.  - 10/22/18  On the one year anniversary of the shooting death of Juan Diego Guerrero-Ceja, the Salem Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Denny Herrera Rebolledo, age 28. Rebolledo is wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting that took place in 2017 at an apartment complex on Market ST NE and Park AV NE in Salem. He is currently featured on the Salem Police Department’s  Top Ten Most Wanted  for outstanding warrants.
