WOMAN RESISTS ARREST AND ASSAULTS DEPUTY

  Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office REEDSPORT, Ore.  - A 54-year-old Florence woman is in the Douglas County Jail after resisting arrest and assaulting a deputy Sunday afternoon.  Shortly before 3:00 on Sunday, November 29, 2020, a deputy made a traffic stop on a Chrysler PT Cruiser. During the course of the traffic stop, the deputy learned the female passenger, Holly Lynne Sigmund, had a warrant for her arrest. Sigmund exited the vehicle and became confrontational. When the deputy attempted to place her into handcuffs, Sigmund began resisting arrest. She retrieved a can of pork and beans and threatened to throw it at him. The deputy attempted to use his TASER device but was ineffective at which point Sigmund threw the can at the deputy's head and missed him.  The deputy then attempted to physically take Sigmund into custody. PURSUIT WEST OF LA PINE SENDS DRIVER TO JAIL WITH DRUG AND WEAPON CHARGES

Sheriff's Office On November 29, 2020, at approximately 9:49pm, a deputy with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling in the area of Sunrise Blvd. and Rainbow Drive, west of La Pine.  The deputy observed a gray Subaru WRX driving on Rainbow Drive at a high rate of speed for the area.  The deputy then observed the Subaru turn off its lights in an attempt to avoid detection.  The deputy alerted another deputy also in the area, who observed the Subaru pull out onto Sunrise Blvd. in front of him.  The second deputy attempted to stop the Subaru, which was still driving without any lighting.  The driver of the Subaru failed to stop and attempted to elude the deputy southbound on Sunrise Blvd. at speeds estimated near 40 MPH. TROUTDALE RESIDENT ARRESTED, CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ABUSING 4 VICTIMS; LAW ENFORCEMENT SEEKS INFORMATION FROM PUBLIC

District Attorney's Office PORTLAND, Ore. – Today Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt and the Gresham Police Department are asking the public for assistance in determining whether there are additional victims of a man currently charged with sexually abusing four male victims. On November 23, 2020, the Gresham Police Department arrested 38-year-old Adrian Lewandowski. Lewandowski is charged with 13 counts of sexual abuse in the first degree, one count of attempted sexual abuse in the first degree and one count of sexual abuse in the third degree. Due to the sensitive nature of this case, law enforcement is asking media to refrain from contacting the victims or their family members regarding this case. Noah Wilson sentenced to prison for attacking Portland Police officer

District Attorney's Office   PORTLAND, Ore. – Today, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt announced that 43-year-old Noah Wilson received a 60 month prison sentence after being convicted of attacking an officer assigned to the Portland Police Bureau’s Sex Offender Registration Detail. The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office remained in regular contact with the officer and discussed the potential pretrial resolution with her. She is supportive of this resolution and believes a prison sentence is warranted for this unprovoked attack. By pleading guilty to one count of assault in the third degree and one count of assaulting a public safety officer, Wilson admitted that he recklessly, under circumstances manifesting indifference to the value of human life, caused serious physical injury to a person he knew to be a public safety officer while that person was working in their official capacity. SHERIFF'S OFFICE RESPONDS TO SEVERAL DEADLY CRASHES IN NOVEMBER

  Washington Co. Sheriff's Office November 2020 has been a particularly dangerous month for drivers in Washington County. Since the beginning of the month, deputies have responded to six fatal crashes. The latest incident happened this morning around 8:20 a.m. near NW Main Street & NW Cottage Street in the City of North Plains. The driver, a 22-year-old man, hit an elderly woman while she was trying to cross the street. The driver of the 2004 Dodge Caravan was stopped at the four-way intersection before the crash. The van’s windshield may not have been fully defrosted at the time, obscuring the driver’s view. The victim, identified as 79-year-old Carol Goeden, was taken to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries. The driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators. GROUP CAUSES THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF DAMAGE ALONG SOUTHEAST HAWTHORNE - POLICE MAKE ARRESTS

  Portland Police Bureau On November 26, 2020, at about 1:22 a.m., Portland Police responded to reports of people breaking windows and spraying graffiti on the New Seasons Market in the 4000 block of Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard. Multiple callers reported seeing a group of people, dressed in black clothing, moving west along Southeast Hawthorne breaking out windows as they went. Police arrived and found a group near Southeast 37th Avenue and Southeast Harrison Street matching the description and carrying evidence connecting them to the vandalism. Officers canvassed the neighborhood, spoke to witnesses, and found damage to at least ten businesses between Southeast 41st Avenue and Southeast 33rd Avenue along Southeast Hawthorne Street, in both the Sunnyside and Richmond neighborhoods. Some of the damage was sufficient to provide access to the interior of retail stores so officers contacted responsible parties and stood by while contractors or employees boarded up windows. DEPUTIES ARREST THANKSGIVING MORNING BURGLAR

Sheriff's Office On November 26, 2020, at 6:41 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call of a male breaking into a car in the 12800 block of NW Creekview Drive in the community of Cedar Mill. A resident heard his car alarm go off and saw a male inside his vehicle. While he confronted the male suspect, another family member called 911. The resident kept the suspect on scene until deputies arrived. The investigation revealed that the male suspect had not only entered several vehicles, but had also been inside the residence and the garage. While inside the home, the male used the restroom and helped himself to food that the family was going to prepare for their Thanksgiving breakfast.The suspect also loaded his pockets with various items he stole from the vehicles and the home. PEDESTRIAN STRUCK AND KILLED BY MOTOR VEHICLE

  Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office On November 25, 2020 at approximately 2:10 PM the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a pedestrian that was struck by a motor vehicle. This incident took place in the Tetherow Crossing subdivision north of Redmond. Deputies responded to the scene along with the Redmond Fire Department. The pedestrian was determined to be deceased due to her injuries. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. DODGE TRUCK AND MULTIPLE POWER TOOLS STOLEN FROM CRESWELL PUBLIC WORKS

  Lane Co. Sheriff's Office On November 21, 2020 at 10:45 a.m., the Lane County Sheriff's Office received a report of a burglary at the Creswell Public Works facility off Highway 99 in Creswell. The burglary was discovered by a Creswell Public Works employee when they drove by and noticed the shop bay doors were open when they should have been closed. A blue, 1992 Dodge D20 Cummins truck with Oregon license plate E228034 was stolen along with several power tools.  A photo of a similar truck is attached.  The photo is NOT of the actual truck.   The Lane County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information about this incident or the location of the stolen items or truck to call 541-682-4150 then press 1 and reference case # 20-7982.  

MYRTLE CREEK WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ARSON

  Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office ROSEBURG, Ore.  - A Myrtle Creek woman has been arrested on Arson charges stemming from a structure fire in Green on Saturday.  On Saturday, November 21, 2020, at about 1:15 am, dispatchers received a report of a structure fire in the 1000-block of Castle Ave in Green. Evidence was recovered at the scene which indicated the fire has been started as the result of arson. A suspect, 31 year-old Stephanie Marie Collins, was identified but was unable to be immediately located.  At approximately 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2020, Collins was located at a residence in the Myrtle Creek area and was taken into custody without incident.  She was lodged in the Douglas County Jail for Arson 1st Degree. 

DEPUTIES TALK BARRICADED SUSPECT OUT OF HOME WITH HELP OF ARMORED RESCUE VEHICLE

  Lane Co. Sheriff's Office On November 22, 2020 shortly after 11:00 p.m., the Lane County Sheriff's Office received a report of an assault at a home at the 22000 block of Fisk Rd. in Noti. The victim (a 73 year old male) was reportedly assaulted by a family member, 44 year old Shawn Stilwell of Noti, and suffered significant facial injuries. The victim was able to get out of the house but the victim's wife, who is on hospice, was reportedly still in the home with Shawn.   Information obtained during the investigation indicated that Shawn was agitated, possibly intoxicated, and had access to weapons.  Upon arrival, deputies found Shawn’s vehicle parked about halfway up the long driveway to the home, blocking other vehicles from passing.  Deputies attempted to loud hail from their patrol vehicles from behind Shawn’s vehicle but did not get any response from him or the victim's wife. MOTORCYCLE VERSUS VEHICLE COLLISION

  Roseburg Police Dept. On Saturday, November 21st, 2020 around 2:30 PM, emergency personnel responded to a vehicle collision on NW Edenbower at NW Broad in Roseburg.  It was reported that a motorcycle was driving southbound on Edenbower and collided with a Honda CRV that was turning from Broad Street onto Edenbower. The operator of the motorcyle was ejected and trapped partially underneath the Honda.  The male, 38 year old John Hillebrand of Dallas, Oregon was extricated from the vehicle by Roseburg Fire Department personnel, and was transported to Mercy via ambulance for treatment of life-threatening injuries.  Hillebrand was later transported to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland for further care.  On Sunday, November 22nd, Hillebrand's family advised investigating officers that Hillebrand died of his injuries. SERIOUS INJURY CRASH NEAR REDMOND

  Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office On November 22, 2020, at approximately 2:40 am, deputies with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a reported single vehicle injury crash in the 3060 Block of SW Helmholtz Way in Redmond.  A resident in the area had called into 911 dispatch after hearing the crash and then going outside to check on the vehicle occupant.  The vehicle had also struck a power pole along the roadway shoulder, causing the top of the pole to break off and fall onto Helmholtz Way. Deputies arrived at the crash scene and found the vehicle’s driver, Alyssa R. Van Alstine, laying outside the vehicle with serious, life threatening injuries.  Deputies began providing lifesaving care to Van Alstine until Redmond Fire and Rescue arrived a short time later.  Van Alstine was quickly transported to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend to receive care for her injuries. FATAL CRASH ON SE DIVISION ST, MAJOR CRASH TEAM RESPONDING

  Portland Police Bureau A fatal crash has closed Southeast Division Street near Southeast 136th Avenue. On Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 8:07p.m., East Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of a crash on Southeast Division Street near Southeast 136th Avenue. When officers and paramedics arrived, they found occupants of two cars with severe injuries. The patients were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Officers later learned that despite lifesaving efforts of medical professionals, one of the occupants died. The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team (photo) is on scene and investigating. Southeast Division Street will remain closed at Southeast 136th Avenue for several hours. The PIO is not responding to the scene. More information will be released after investigators learn more.

Firefighters Respond to Mt. Hope Camper Fire

  Lebanon Fire District   Lebanon firefighters responded to a camper fire off Mt Hope drive today at approximately 1600. Crews arrived to a fully involved camper fire with no immediate exposures. Crews quickly brought the fire under control. Residents living near the incident advised that the camper was not in use and no injuries were reported. One truck and command vehicle responded from Lebanon and two water tenders and an engine responded from volunteer substations. A total of seven firefighters arrived on scene.

Two Takeover-Style Armed Robberies Being Investigated

  Portland Police Bureau Two takeover-style armed robberies overnight, one where gunshots were fired, are being investigated by Portland Police robbery detectives. On Sunday November 22, 2020 at 1:29a.m., North Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store in the 4500 block of Northeast 60th Avenue. Two suspects, who were armed with guns and stole cash, left the area before police were called. Then at 1:51a.m., officers got another armed robbery call, this one at a convenience store in the 7300 block of North St. Louis Avenue, and that a shot was fired. Officers responded and learned that at least one of the two suspects fired shots at two vehicles outside the store as they left the area (photos). One victim was injured by shattered glass. Cash and merchandise were stolen. Robbery detectives responded and are currently investigating the crimes. They are looking into whether the robberies are related. WRONG WAY COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE CRASHES ON INTERSTATE 5 - LANE COUNTY

  Oregon State Police On Sunday, November 22, 2020 at approximately 1:37 A.M., Oregon State Police Troopers received reports of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driving northbound in the southbound lanes on Interstate 5 near milepost 163.  An officer from the Cottage Grove Police Department located and attempted to stop the CMV.  The CMV drove onto the shoulder and continued northbound in an attempt to elude the officer.  Near milepost 173 the CMV (2020 International), operated by Tylor Stafford (53) of Shelbyville, Texas, crashed into a southbound CMV (2019 Volvo) operated by Daryl Rickman (53) of Portland, Oregon.  Stafford's CMV (2020 International) then crashed into the concrete barrier and burst into flames.  Stafford attempted to run on foot however he was captured by an officer from the Cottage Grove Police Department.  Stafford was arrested for multiple charges including DUII, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangering.  Stafford nor Rickman were injured.  The northbound la

HILLSBORO TEEN KILLED IN CRASH

Sheriff's Office On Friday, November 20, 2020, at 2:59 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a traffic crash near SW Hillsboro Highway and SW Morilon Lane in unincorporated Hillsboro. Multiple witnesses reported crash between a green 1998 Honda Civic and cement-mixer truck. Deputies arrived on scene and found that the driver of the Honda was deceased. During the investigation, deputies determined that the Honda was traveling south on SW Hillsboro Highway when the driver lost control of the vehicle after failing to negotiate a curve. The driver of the cement truck was unable to stop and the vehicles collided. Deputies believe that the Honda was speeding prior to the crash. The driver of the Honda has been identified 16-year-old Manuel Perez-Luis, of Hillsboro. Mr. Perez-Luis’ family has been notified of his death. 90-YEAR-OLD MALE PEDESTRIAN KILLED WHILE CROSSING NW 6TH NORTH OF NW KINGWOOD AVE., FLEEING DRIVER LATER LOCATED AND ARRESTED

  Redmond Police Dept. On November 20, 2020, at approximately 6:07 p.m. the Redmond Police Department (RPD) and Redmond Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the area of NW 6th St and NW Kingwood Ave for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.  Upon arriving, officers learned 90-year-old Redmond resident Leroy Hall, who had been wearing dark clothing, had been crossing NW 6th St., not in a crosswalk, when he was hit by a maroon 2018 GMC Yukon and then hit again by a second vehicle.  The driver of the Yukon, later identified as 19-year-old Redmond resident Anthony Vasquez, fled the scene, while the second vehicle stayed on scene.  At approximately 6:16 p.m. officers located the Yukon and Mr. Vasquez in the vicinity of SW 15th St. and SW Metolius Ave.    Mr. Hall died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained.  Mr. Vasquez was subsequently arrested and lodged at the Deschutes County Jail and charged with the following crimes: Manslaughter I, Criminal Negligent Homic

SEARCH WARRANT LEADS TO ARREST ON FIREARMS CHARGES, ANIMAL ABUSE AND THEFT

  Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office DAYS CREEK, Ore. –  Deputies served a search warrant in Days Creek on Thursday which resulted in the arrest of a man on weapons charges and others. In September, deputies obtained information that a dog had been illegally shot and killed by 48 year-old Michael Angelo Antoci of Days Creek at a Pachamama Farm, located in the 1000-block of Woods Creek Road, around November 2019. Upon further investigation, information was obtained that Antoci, the owner of Pachamama Farm, is prohibited from possessing firearms. Additional investigation revealed that Antoci had several firearms in his possession and had used them for several purposes.   Deputies obtained a search warrant, which was executed at Pachamama Farm on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Deputies seized several firearms during the search warrant and discovered stolen property valued over $1,000, resulting in additional charges. OREGON STATE POLICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING ON HWY 199 - JOSEPHINE COUNTY

  Oregon State Police On Thursday, November 19, 2020 at approximately 6:00 P.M., Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a person that had been shot on Hwy 199 near milepost 11. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet van was reported as driving all over the road and believed to be an intoxicated driver.  As emergency personnel were enroute, the van stopped alongside the road.  Citizens attempted to detain the operator of the van until police arrived.  The van attempted to leave and struck Harley Tyrie (32) of Grants Pass and Brandy Newell (31) of Grants Pass. Tyrie drew a firearm and fired into the van. Tyrie and Newell were not seriously injured. The operator of the van, Bryan Fitzgerald (31) of Rogue River, was struck with a bullet.  He was transported to Rogue Regional Medical Center for treatment.  His medical BAC was .30% Oregon State Police Detectives are working with the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office and the investigation is continuing

DALLAS WOMAN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH HIT AND RUN DEATH IN YAMHILL COUNTY

  Yamhill Co. Sheriff's Office On Thursday, November 19th, Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested a Dallas woman on charges related to the death of a pedestrian who was struck in a hit and run crash.  That incident occurred on November 7th on SW Durham Lane near Highway 18, approximately one mile west of the City of McMinnville. Kari Lin Smith, 47 years of age of Dallas, OR, is believed to have been the driver of the Ram pickup, which struck and killed 58-year-old Ricardo Morales Avila of Salem.  Smith was taken into custody by deputies in the City of Amity at approximately 3:00 p.m. On November 10th, Investigators seized a 2008 Ram 1500 pickup in connection with the case and investigation and evidence pointed to Smith having been the driver at the time of the crash. Smith was lodged into the Yamhill County Correctional Facility on charges of Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver to an Injured Person and Criminally Negligent Homicide.  Her bail is currently set

UPDATE - OREGON STATE POLICE REQUESTING ASSISTANCE LOCATING DRIVER INVOLVED IN CRASH - JACKSON COUNTY

  Oregon State Police On Tuesday, November 17, 2020 a Jackson County Sheriff Deputy located a body in the river several hundred yards from the crash site.  The Oregon State Police Medical Examiners office has confirmed the body is that of Matthew Lang. No further information is available for release. ****************************** ****************************** On Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at approximately 5:30 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle rollover crash on Hwy 62 near milepost 37.  Responders located a badly damaged Ford Explorer with no occupants.  It is believed the operator was Matthew Lang (33) of Bend.   Lang has not contacted friends or family since the crash. Jackson County Search and Rescue is currently searching the area for Lang.    Lang is 6 feet tall 185 lbs with brown hair. FATAL CRASH ON HWY 42 - COOS COUNTY

  Oregon State Police On Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at approximately 4:15 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 42 near milepost 32. Preliminary investigation revealed that an Audi Q7, operated by Seth Hale (41) from Grants Pass, was eastbound when it went off the roadway and crashed.   Hale was transported to Mercy Hospital in Roseburg where on November 19, 2020 he was pronounced deceased. MISSING HUNTER LOCATED ALIVE WITH NON-LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES

Sheriff's Office On November 17, 2020 shortly after 4:30 p.m., the Lane County Sheriff's Office received a report of a missing hunter in the Rock Creek wilderness area in northwestern Lane County.  The hunter, 30 year old Tyler Saxon of Creswell, was dropped off in the area the morning of November 17th to go hunting and was supposed to meet up with someone a few hours later and never showed up.  Family reported him missing shortly thereafter. Lane County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue deployed a rescue team to the area and searched all night Tuesday, all day Wednesday and into Thursday.  Search and Rescue teams from Linn County, Lincoln County, and Benton County joined the search along with the U.S. Coast Guard who assisted with a helicopter and a team to search from the air.   On November 19, 2020 shortly before 4:00 p.m. Search and Rescue volunteers located Mr. Saxon in a heavily wooded area near where he was dropped off.  He was found with non-life-threate

FATAL CRASH HWY 26 - CLACKAMAS COUNTY

  Oregon State Police On Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at approximately 5:20 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a vehicle collision on Hwy 26 at the intersection of SE Kelso Rd. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford Explorer, operated by Dan Smith (93) of Boring, was westbound on Hwy 26 and turned left into the path of an eastbound Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Frank Angelcyk (40) of Astoria, New York.  Smith was transported to Emanuel Hospital with serious injuries.  His passenger, Maxine Smith (94) of Boring, was transported to Emanuel Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Angelcyk was not seriously injured. OSP was assisted by the Sandy Fire Department, AMR and ODOT.

INJURED BACKCOUNTRY SKIER ASSISTED BY DCSO SAR NEAR TODD LAKE

  Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office On 11/19/20, at about 9:00am, the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Unit was advised by 9-1-1 dispatch of an injured backcountry skier, a little over 1/3 mile northwest of the Todd Lake TH.  The injured skier, later identified as , Tindel, Wells, was skiing with a partner in the steeper terrain surrounding the area, fell and suffered non-life threatening injuries, which were hindering him from returning to the Dutchman Flat parking lot on his own. One DCSO SAR Deputy responded to the Dutchman Flat parking lot, while another DCSO SAR Deputy coordinated a DCSO SAR Volunteer response.  Six DCSO SAR Volunteers responded to the DCSO SAR base in Bend and gathered snowmobiles and medical supplies to complete the mission.  They then drove to the Dutchman Flat parking lot, responding the remainder of the way on snowmobiles.  Two addtional DCSO SAR Volunteers had been recreating near Moon Mountain and responded directly to the injured sk

LAFAYETTE MAN ARRESTED FOR THE 56TH TIME

Sheriff's Office During the early morning hours of November 19, 2020 Deputy Carson Bartlett stopped a vehicle in the city of Lafayette.  The driver, Ronald Gordon Griffin, age 38 of Lafayette, OR was arrested on outstanding warrants for Parole Violation and Failure to Appear on Driving While Revoked.  He was also charged with Driving While Revoked-Misdemeanor.  Mr. Griffin has been arrested 5 times by Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office in the last 2 months for Driving While Revoked-Misdemeanor.  In addition he has been arrested on warrants previously on September 15, 2020 and on November 6, 2020 he was issued criminal citations for Unlawful Delivery of Heroin and Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine based on evidence found when a search warrant was served on a vehicle he had been driving.    Additional charges are pending review from the District Attorney based on drugs found in a vehicle searched on November 11, 2020 that Mr. Griffin had been driving.  Mr. Griffin is cu

ROSEBURG MAN ARRESTED FOR SEVERAL INCIDENTS OF CRIMINAL MISCHIEF AT REPUBLICAN HEADQUARTERS

  Roseburg Police Dept. During the past several months, the Roseburg Police Department has been investigating numerous cases of damage caused to the Douglas County Republican Headquarters located at 506 SE Jackson Street in Roseburg.  During these incidents the windows have been broken several times, and on multiple occasions graffiti was sprayed on the exterior of the building.  In one of the recent cases 38 year old Sean Michael O'Grady of Roseburg was identified as a potential suspect. Roseburg Police Department Detectives contacted O'Grady on Tuesday, November 17th and he was ultimately charged with criminal Mischief in the First Degree, which is a Class C felony in Oregon. The investigation into the previous cases continues, and there may be additional charges pending.   

2 MALES ARRESTED FOR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICES LOCATED AT ROSEBURG HIGH SCHOOL

  Roseburg Police Dept. On Thursday, November 12th, 2020 The Roseburg Police Department and Oregon State Police Explosives Unit, investigated several suspicious devices that were found in the Roseburg High School parking lot that day.  At the time it was suspected they were potentially altered fireworks.  The OSP Explosives Unit responded and took possession of those objects, and we are still waiting on confirmation as to what the devices contained. Through an ongoing investigation by a Roseburg Police Department School Resource Officer, along with assistance from the Roseburg School District, we were able to identify two persons of interest in this case.  Two brothers who live in the neighborhood adjacent to the high school were contacted.  During that contact we developed information that the brothers allegedly made the items and had thrown them over the fence into the parking lot of the school.  At this time there is nothing that leads us to believe they were trying to harm anyone,

UPDATE -- MICHAEL CHAMPAGNE FOUND GUILTY IN SEX-ABUSE CASE, SENTENCED TO 50 YEARS

Sheriff's Office On Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020, a Clackamas County Jury found 64-year old  Michael Wayne Champagne  guilty of one count of Rape in the First Degree, three counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, two counts of Sodomy in the First Degree, and one count of Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree.  The investigation into this matter by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office began in June 2019. The victims in this case were two 9-year-old girls. Today (Monday, Nov. 16), Mr. Champagne was sentenced to a total of 50 years in prison.  Mr. Champagne has a lengthy criminal history. He was already a registered sex offender as a result of pleading guilty in 2008 to two counts of Attempted Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.
