MISSING GRANTS PASS WOMAN FOUND DECEASED

Grants Pass Police Department Grants Pass, OR. – Late on Thursday, December 23, 2021, the Grants Pass Police Department discovered Rachael Behnke deceased in her white Ford Explorer in a rural portion of Josephine County. She was the lone occupant of the vehicle that was parked off Highway 199 near Selma. Rachael Behnke had originally been reported missing on Friday, December 10 th  after last being seen dropping off her child at school in Grants Pass. Report of the discovery was withheld until today at the request of the family.  Our hearts go out to the grieving family during this holiday season. We also want to thank all those who assisted in looking for Rachael over the last two weeks .

SERIOUS INJURY CRASH ON HWY 58-LANE COUNTY

Oregon State Police On Thursday, December 23, 2021 at about 5:34 PM, Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a report of a multi car accident with significant injuries on Hwy 58 at milepost 14.  Preliminary investigation revealed that a gray Dodge 3500 pulling a 26' gooseneck loaded with 168 bales of hay, operated by Steven Mori (76) of Fallon, Nevada, was westbound when the pickup trailer combination tipped over onto its side and began sliding. The pickup trailer combination then struck a Black Nissan pickup, operated by Kayd Shelby (18) of Roseburg, a white Kia Forte, operated by Jennifer Hoffman(29) of Springfield, a gold Dodge Caravan, operated by Steven Noller (51) out of Eugene and a White Hyundai, operated by Debra Cooley (54) of Oakridge.  Shelby was life flighted while Hoffman, Noller, Cooley and three additional passengers were taken by ground ambulance to Peace Health Sacred Heart Medical Center at River Bend. SEARCH WARRANT FOR ILLEGAL MARIJUANA

Josephine Co. Sheriff's Office On Tuesday, December 22, 2021, the Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team (JMET) executed a search warrant for allegations of an illegal quantity of marijuana in an O’Brien residence.  The search warrant was executed at a residence located in the 100 block of O’Brien Road.  During the execution of the search warrant, approximately 300 pounds of marijuana was located and seized. Firearms and methamphetamine were located and seized as well.  A stolen vehicle located on the property was seized to be returned to its rightful owner.  A 55-year-old male was arrested and lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Unlawful Delivery, Possession and Manufacture of Marijuana as well as Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.  A 33-year-old female was arrested and lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Unlawful Delivery of Marijuana.  No further details are being released at this time.   MARK DARRON PATTERSON AUBREYANN VALYN TAYLOR

A DRIVER OF STOLEN TRUCK CRASHES INTO A TREE AFTER HITTING TWO POLICE CARS

Sheriff's Office On Wednesday, December 23, 2021, 3:09 a.m., Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a hit-and-run crash in the 16,000 block of NW Brugger Road in the Enhanced Sheriff's Patrol District (ESPD) community of Bethany. Deputies learned a community member saw someone attempting to free their Ford F-150 truck that was stuck in a field. As the community member tried to help, the F-150 became free. The driver of the F-150 backed into the community member’s car and left the scene. A deputy located the F-150 in the Tanasbourne area of the city of Hillsboro. The deputy saw the truck driving recklessly by running a red light and driving into oncoming lanes of traffic. The deputy activated their overhead lights and siren to stop the F-150, but the truck continued to accelerate at a high rate of speed in an attempt to elude the deputy. GRANTS PASS MAN ARRESTED FOR ONLINE LURING OF A MINOR

Grants Pass Police Department Grants Pass, OR. - On Monday, December 6, 2021, the Grants Pass Police Department responded to a report of an adult male subject having sexual conversations with a 14-year-old female online.  The conversation was provided to law enforcement and the investigation continued.  The investigation revealed that Bill Huffman (age 60) was the individual corresponding with the juvenile female.  On Thursday, December 23, 2021, detectives with the Grants Pass Police Department contacted Huffman at his place of employment.  Detectives seized several cell phones during the course of the investigation which will undergo forensic analysis upon approval of a search warrant.  Huffman was lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Luring a Minor, Online Sexual Corruption of a Child in the 2 nd  Degree, and a Probation Violation for a previous conviction for Attempted Sexual Abuse in the 1 st  Degree. FATAL CRASH ON HWY 242-COOS COUNTY

Oregon State Police On Thursday, December 23, 2021 at approximately 4:47AM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 242 at milepost 1.  Preliminary investigation revealed a southbound silver Mazda MZ7, operated by a 16-year-old female of Broadbent, left the roadway and struck a tree. The crash is under investigation.  The juvenile driver was transported to Coquille Valley Hospital and later life flighted to Riverbend Hospital in Eugene by the U.S. Coastguard with serious injuries. Her 15-year-old female passenger sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.  OSP was assisted by Myrtle Point Police, Myrtle Point Fire and Rescue, Myrtle Point Ambulance, U.S. Coastguard, Southern Oregon Chaplains and ODOT.

OREGON STATE POLICE SEEKING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN VEHICULAR ASSAULT-LINCOLN COUNTY

Oregon State Police On December 13, 2021 at approximately 3:52PM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a road rage incident on Hwy 101 in Depoe Bay near milepost 128.  Preliminary investigation revealed a road rage incident was occurring between a white Chevy S10 pickup and a silver Honda. The incident culminated with the 64-year-old male operator of the Chevy pickup being struck by the Honda while standing outside of his pickup. He sustained serious injuries and was transported to  Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital in Lincoln City .  The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2008-2015 silver Honda, possibly Accord. During the incident, it is believed to have sustained damage to the passenger sideview mirror and potentially has damage to the hood. **UPDATE-ARREST***FATAL CRASH ON HWY 126W-LANE COUNTY

Oregon State Police ***Update-Arrest*** On 12-22-2021, the Oregon State Police arrested Shane Tyler McVay for Manslaughter 1, DUII and Recklessly Endangering. The charges resulted from the September 20, 2021 crash that resulted in the death of Emily Susman. McVay was lodged in the Lane County Jail. ______________________________ ____ On Monday, September 20, 2021 at approximately 7:14 AM, Oregon State Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a four vehicle crash on Hwy 126W near milepost 37.  Preliminary investigation revealed a Kenworth log truck, operated by Shane McVay (64) of Eugene, was eastbound when the loaded trailer tipped over. The trailer struck a westbound Toyota Prius, operated by Sarah Susman (25) of Springfield and a Dodge Ram towing a boat, operated by Randall Tokich (70) of Eugene. The Dodge Ram then struck an eastbound Ford Mustang, operated by Jordyn Tippett (20) of Coquille. Susman sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. McVay and Tippett were tra
