Armed Suspect Results in Officer Involved Shooting

Gresham, Ore.— On April 30 around 10:40 p.m., an officer located an occupied stolen minivan in a parking lot near SW Highland Dr. and SW 11th St. The driver rammed the officer’s vehicle then fled westbound on W. Powell Blvd.

Near the 17800 block of Powell, the minivan got stuck on a median resulting in the suspect fleeing on foot while armed with a firearm. During the foot pursuit the officer fired his weapon. A perimeter was established and officers began searching the area. The suspect was not located. He is described as a white male in his 30s with a scruffy beard.
