Southwest Portland Bank Robbed on Sunday Afternoon by Unknown Suspect

On Sunday December 2, 2018, at 2:45 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a bank robbery at the US Bank branch inside Safeway, located at 8145 Southwest Barbur Boulevard. 


Officers arrived in the area and contacted employees who told police that the suspect implied that he had a gun as he demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the bank and grocery store without incident. 

The suspect is described as a white male in his late-20s, clean-shaven, wearing a dark-colored hat, dark sunglasses, dark-colored clothing, and possibly armed with a handgun or an item resembling a handgun.

Investigators have released a surveillance image of the suspect in Sunday afternoon's bank robbery in Southwest Portland.
