Redmond, OR – On Thursday, February 28, 2019, at approximately 9:50 PM, Redmond Police were told Naithan Gore, 28-years-old and a Central Oregon area resident, was currently at the Chevron gas station at 2005 S Hwy 97, Redmond.  Redmond Police knew Mr. Gore had several warrants for his arrest, dating back to 2017.  When Redmond Officers arrived, Mr. Gore fled the area on foot after seeing patrol vehicles pull into the parking lot.

Several Redmond Officers, assisted by K9 “Mavrik,” followed a track in the snow for nearly 90 minutes.  At times, the visible shoe prints in the snow where lost, but the K9 was able to continue to follow the scent, eventually leading back to visible footprints.  During his attempt to evade law enforcement, Mr. Gore ran through several side and back yards and climbed several fences.  Mr. Gore was found attempting to hide from law enforcement on a rooftop of a residence in the 1700 block of SW Metolius Ave.  Mr. Gore gave himself up to Redmond Police once he was found.

Mr. Gore was taken to the Deschutes County Adult Jail and lodged on his outstanding arrest warrants (Deschutes and Clackamas counties), and several new charges of Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree (10 counts), and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree (1 count).

This incident is reflective of you police department’s efforts to serve the residents and guests of Redmond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
