Three Vehicle Fatal Crash on Hwy 20 - Malheur County

On Monday, June 3, 2019 at approximately 2:50 P.M. (Mountain Time) Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a three vehicle crash on Hwy 20 milepost 244 near Vale, OR.

Preliminary investigation reveals that a Nissan Rogue, operated by Timothy Eviston (57) of Winnsboro, SC, was eastbound when he attempted to pass a motor home.  He struck a westbound Ford F350, operated by Jacob Price (30) of Ontario, OR.  The Ford F350 then collided with a Ford Expedition - pulling a travel trailer, operated by Guillermo Fonseca (33) from Eagle, ID.

The Ford F350 and the Ford Expedition and travel trailer caught fire after the impact.  

Eviston sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Price was transported by ambulance for injuries.

Fonseca was transported by ambulance for injuries.  Passengers in the Expedition, Amy Dancer (40) of Eagle, ID was transported by ambulance for injuries.  There were also three juveniles transported two by ambulance and one by Life Flight.

OSP was assisted by the Malheur County Sheriff's Office, Vale Fire and Ambulance, and Life Flight.
