Forest Grove Police Investigate Stabbing and Arrest Suspect.

On April 26, 2020 at about 8:20pm, Forest Grove officers with the assistance of the Cornelius Police Department, Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Hillsboro Police Department responded to an assault with a weapon in the 2200 Block of Kingwood Street. Upon arrival officers found an adult male with multiple stab wounds. The suspect had left the scene.
Officers conducted a K-9 track and subsequently located the suspect, Zachary Ryan Blessing age 32, near the 2100 Block of Hawthorne Street. Blessing is a Forest Grove resident.
The victim was transported to a metro area medical facility. Blessing was lodged at the Washington County Jail for Assault in the First Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. There are no other suspects in this case. Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstance surrounding the incident.
