TRAFFIC #ALERT: INVESTIGATION OF CRASH INVOLVING VEHICLE AND PEDESTRIAN CLOSES I-84

Interstate 84 is closed at Northeast 68th Avenue for the investigation of a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

On Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 1:05a.m., East Precinct officers responded to a report of a crash on eastbound I-84 just east of the exit for Northeast 82nd Avenue. Officers located a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was deceased. The driver of the car remained at the scene.

The Portland Police Major Crash Team is on scene investigating. During the investigation, eastbound I-84 is closed at the Northeast 68th Avenue exit. Westbound traffic is not affected.
