Man Arrested After Firing A Shotgun In A House With Girlfriend Nearby

On March 18, 2023, at 8:32 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call of a disturbance in progress, with shots fired on Siglun Lane just south of Coos Bay.
Deputies immediately responded, contacted the victim, and moved her to safety. The suspect was identified as George D. Lentz (61) of Coos Bay. Eventually, Mr. Lentz came outside the residence to speak with law enforcement. As a result of the investigation, Mr. Lentz was arrested for menacing and unlawful weapon use.
Mr. Lentz was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he is currently in custody.
