Grants Pass Police Department As of 2:57 PM on Friday 10/15/21, the Grants Pass Police Department is still attempting to locate 11 year old Stacy Ramos-Orellano who ran away from home in the 900 block of SW H street in Grants Pass on Thursday evening. She is described as a latina juvenile, approximately 5' 01" tall, weighing approximately 100 lbs, with short black hair and brown eyes. She is believed to be wearing a black sweater and black/white converse shoes. LINN COUNTY UPDATES COMPOSITE DRAWING TO IDENTIFY HUMAN REMAINS FOUND IN 2020

Linn County Sheriff's Office Undersheriff Michelle Duncan reports that Detectives have learned new information regarding the unidentified human remains recovered in April of 2020.  These remains were found near Gordon Road, east of Sweet Home. Linn County Detectives, working in conjunction with the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office, have utilized a private forensic DNA service called Parabon Nanolabs to help determine more about what the unidentified female may have looked like. According to analysis completed by Parabon, the remains likely belong to a white adult female with light brown/blonde hair (natural hair color), fair skin, green or hazel eyes, and zero or few freckles. An updated composite sketch of the unidentified deceased woman has been developed based on this new information, and additional DNA analysis is ongoing in attempt to identify her. WATER RESCUE TEAM RESCUES MAN UNDER AUTZEN FOOTBRIDGE

Eugene Springfield Fire The Eugene Springfield Fire Department responded Thursday night to a report of a man stranded underneath the Frohnmayer Footbridge, also known as the Autzen Footbridge. The middle aged male was stuck up against a bridge pier.  First responding fire crews were able to lower the patient a life jacket and hot pack from a lowering rope. Water rescue team members responded with an inflatable rescue boat and able to access and rescue the patient.  The man was evaluated and treated on scene by medics and transported for further care at Riverbend Hospital.

Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) On Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, at approximately 11:00 AM, detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) arrested 52 year old Branden Mohr of Roseburg.   Mohr was initially stopped with assistance from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office in the 3000 block of Happy Valley Road in Green.  A search of the vehicle revealed a concealed handgun as well as a large amount of suspected methamphetamine.   A follow up search of Mohr's residence in the Wilbur area revealed more suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  A total of approximately 164 grams of suspected methamphetamine were seized.   Mohr was transported to the Douglas County Jail where he was lodged for the following crimes: Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Attempted Delivery of Methamphetamine Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine Felon in Possession of a Firearm Parole Violation

Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) On Tuesday, October 12th, 2021, at approximately 4:00 PM, detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) arrested 57 year old Cory Whitehill of Roseburg.   Detectives served a search warrant on Whitehill's residence in the 200 block of Snowberry Road, in Melrose.  A search of the property revealed approximately a half pound of suspected methamphetamine, approximately 22 grams of suspected heroin, 14 illegal marijuana plants (beyond the legal limit), and two firearms. Whitehill was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on the following charges: Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine Unlawful Possession of Heroin Unlawful Delivery of Heroin Unlawful Possession of Marijuana Unlawful Manufacture of Marijuana Felon in Possession of a Firearm (2 counts)

PATRICIA MARIE DEANGELIS CONVICTED OF CRIMINALLY NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE IN DEADLY CRASH

Washington Co. District Attorney's Office HILLSBORO, Ore.- On October 8, 2021, a Washington County jury convicted Patricia Marie Deangelis of criminally negligent homicide. Deputy District Attorney Matt Wise prosecuted the defendant before Judge Ramón Pagán.  On November 25, 2019, the defendant was operating a commercial dump truck when she ran a red light and collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Southeast Baseline Street and South First Avenue in Hillsboro, Oregon. A passenger in the second vehicle later died as a result of her injuries.   Investigators with the Hillsboro Police Department and the Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) responded to the scene. Using video depicting the crash and other investigative methods, they determined the traffic signal at the intersection in question was red in the direction of travel for Ms. Deangelis for more than seven seconds prior to the collision. GRANTS PASS MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED

Grants Pass Police Department On 10/10/2021 at approximately 10:17 PM, the Grants Pass Police Department received a report of a disturbance in the 800 block of NE D Street where a male victim had reportedly been severely injured. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered Cole Osborne, a 49-year-old male, had sustained a life-threatening wound. Osborne was transported to the Rogue Regional Medical Center by American Medical Response where he later died as a result of his injury. Grants Pass Police Detectives tirelessly pursued leads in the case that resulted in locating Jeremy Garcia, a 43-year-old male, who had fled from the scene to a residence near the intersection of Swathout Drive at Cloverlawn Drive. With the assistance of Grants Pass Police SWAT, Jeremy Garcia was taken into custody without incident and lodged at the Josephine County Jail for charges of Murder in the second degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Springfield Police make arrest after string of robberies

Springfield Police Department On October 10th around 7:50 pm, Springfield Police Officers were dispatched to a robbery at the Dari Mart located at 1191 Harlow Road.  The suspect description provided by the victim was recognized as similar to that of the suspect in a robbery that occurred the night before at the Dari Mart at 456 Harlow Road.  While officers were responding, information was obtained that the suspect had robbed an area fast food restaurant and was reportedly armed with at least a knife.  While officers continued their investigation the suspect was observed entering the Menchies Yogurt Shop at 2820 Gateway Street.   Officers responded to Menchies where they located the suspect, who was later identified as Joshua Medrano (27 years old).  Medrano was given multiple orders to surrender.  He failed to comply with them.  Medrano was warned that should he continue to disobey lawful commands a taser may be used against him.  When Medrano still refused to follow officer’s commands

Josephine Co. Sheriff's Office The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office has not had any personnel assigned to the Detective Division since July of 2012. The Office has not had a K-9 Division since the end of 2015. This was largely due to the reduction of federal funding, that for decades was the primary funding stream to support the special divisions of the Sheriff’s Office. The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office is happy to announce both the Detective and K-9 Divisions have been reactivated as of October 4 th , 2021.  The Detective Division is now staffed with a Detective Sergeant and a Detective.  They will both be joining the Josephine County Major Crimes Team, which the Sheriff’s Office has not been a part of since 2012.  Being there are only two; cases will be assigned based on severity of the crime and complexity of the investigations. POLICE SEEK INFORMATION IN SHOOTING, TEENAGER INJURED

Gresham Police Dept Gresham, Ore.— Gresham Police responded to reports of a shooting this morning near the intersection of 182 nd  Ave. and SE Division St. A teenager was struck by gunfire and ran to a nearby school for help. School staff cared for the student until police and medical responders arrived.  Officers contacted the victim inside the school and he was transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.   Officers cordoned off a portion of the shopping center parking lot while they spoke to witnesses and collected evidence. Oregon Dept. of Corrections Two adults in custody (AIC) walked away Monday, October 11, 2021, from the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) NW Commissary Building located in Salem. Brandy Woodward and Shelly Raden walked away from an onsite work crew at approximately 9:10 a.m., they were last seen on Amber Street NE, headed toward Dick’s Sporting Goods on Lancaster Drive. Brandy Woodward, 45 is a white female weighing 145 lbs., with blue eyes and blond hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans with the word "inmate" stenciled on the knee in orange, a blue T-shirt, and a sweatshirt – all similarly stenciled.  Brandy Woodward entered DOC custody on April 29, 2021, on two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, and three counts of possession of methamphetamine. Her earliest release date in January 14, 2024. Shelly Radan, a white female weighing 174lbs, with brown hair and eyes, entered DOC custody on November 3, 2020, on two counts of Burglary II.
