ASSISTANCE REQUESTED IN LOCATING MISSING MALE FROM LA PINE AREA

Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Mr. Seymour has been located.  The Sheriff's Office would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating Mr. Seymour.  The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 41 year old Kenneth Seymour. Seymour is described as 5’8” approximately 250 pounds with green eyes and blond hair.  Seymour was last seen on February 15, 2024, leaving a residence on Hwy 31 in La Pine. Seymour left the area in his white 2020 Ford F150 displaying Oregon license 061 PKZ. MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN PARKROSE HEIGHTS NEIGHBORHOOD CRASH IDENTIFIED

Portland Police Bureau The motorcycle rider who died in Wednesday’s crash is identified as Jeremy T. Bankston, 38. His family has been notified of his death. Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a 2018 Dodge Caravan was turning from eastbound on Northeast Eugene Street to northbound on Northeast 111th Avenue. Bankston was riding a 2001 Yamaha southbound on Northeast 111th Avenue at a speed well above the posted 20mph speed limit. He appeared to apply brakes, lost control, crashed, and slid under the minivan. The van was lifted with jacks by Portland Fire & Rescue in an effort to get to him for medical treatment, but he was deceased. This is an ongoing investigation, but at this point no charges have been filed. THREE ROSEBURG MEN ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY AND KIDNAPPING

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office On Friday, February 16, 2024, around 10:00 a.m., 9-1-1 dispatchers received a report of a disturbance in the 200-block of Maple Street in Riddle. Callers were reporting a physical disturbance where three men were assaulting another. One caller reported that the men were applying zip-ties to the male to restrain him.  Deputies arrived on scene and were able to determine that 25-year-old Justin Daniel Devlaeminck, 53-year-old Daniel Terrance Devlaeminck, and 26-year-old Austin Lee Lyman broke into a residence in an effort to “evict” the 22-year-old victim. Justin Devlaeminck pointed a firearm at the victim and Daniel Devlaeminck broke a window to the residence. All three suspects entered the home and began to assault the male victim who tried to escape, but was pulled back. At one point, the victim was able to break away and flee outside where the three suspects captured him and continued their assault and eventually used zip ties to restrain him.  The vi

Oregon State Police On Thursday, February 2, 2024, Oregon State Police responded to the St Paul bridge on Hwy 219, near milepost 24, in Marion County. Gurjinder Singh Grewal (48) was last observed walking on the bridge at approximately 11:00 a.m.. His vehicle, a black Honda Pilot, was located just south of the bridge.  Any person with dash-cam footage or who may have witnessed him in the area on 2 Feb. between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. is encouraged to contact the Oregon State Police Dispatch at 1-800-452-7888 or *OSP (*677). DESCHUTES COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REQUEST PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN FINDING OWNER OF 8 ABANDONED PUPPIES

Deschutes County Sheriff's Office On February 8 th , 2024, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the La Pine Animal Hospital regarding 8 puppies that were brought in by a concerned citizen. During the course of the investigation it was determined the 8 puppies, who were believed to be approximately 7-8 weeks old were abandoned in the area of Boundary Road and Camino De Oro Avenue in La Pine.  A witness advised that a green Subaru was seen leaving the area, driven by a late 20’s male and a female passenger. The witness was unable to obtain a license plate of the Subaru. Keeping in mind this vehicle may be unrelated, investigators would like to contact the driver and passenger of the green Subaru. The 8 puppies were eventually transported to the Humane Society in Bend, where they were all evaluated and are currently being treated. Motorhome Fire north of Juniper Ridge

Bend Fire & Rescue  This morning a fire was reported off of Highway 97 near mile post 131, north of Bend, in an area located north of Juniper Ridge. The fire was called in around 09:00 on February 10th, after multiple reports of a large smoke column in the area.  A fire engine and support vehicle from Bend Fire & Rescue and units from Deschutes County Sheriffs Office responded to the scene.  Units on scene found a fully involved motorhome on fire with severe damage.  Bend Fire units extinguished the fire and performed a fire investigation. Reports from a witness on scene stated that the single occupant of the motorhome had informed him of the fire and left the scene prior to emergency units arrival.  The fire is still under investigation at this time and an updated media release will be completed when more information is obtained.  Bend Fire would like to remind everyone to be extremely cautious when using any kind of open flames, in or outdoors.  If open flame devices are bein

SHERIFF'S DEPUTY INJURED IN GRESHAM TRAFFIC CRASH

Gresham Police Dept Our officers are investigating a Friday morning traffic crash that injured a Multnomah County Sheriff’s Deputy. The Deputy was driving a marked patrol car through the intersection of NE Halsey St and NE 201st Ave shortly before 1 a.m., when they were struck by another motorist.  The intersection where the crash occurred is covered by a public safety camera system, operated by the Gresham Police Department.  Using evidence-based analysis, these cameras are strategically installed throughout Gresham in the areas experiencing an increase in criminal or crash activity.   Video of the intersection shows the Deputy was proceeding on a green light. The other motorist ran the red light and struck the Deputy’s patrol vehicle. The other driver admitted consuming marijuana earlier in the day.  Investigators believe speed and impairment by the other driver may be factors in this crash. LINN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE INVESTIGATING HUMAN SKULL FOUND OUTSIDE OF BROWNSVILLE

Linn County Sheriff's Office Linn County Sheriff Michelle Duncan reports yesterday on February 9, 2024, at 9:38 a.m., a caller reported finding skeletal remains on the property he resides on.  The property is located on rural acreage off of Highway 228, outside of Brownsville. OREGON STATE POLICE ASSISTS WITH SEARCH FOR MISSING CHILD

Oregon State Police On Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers from both the Salem and McMinnville Area Commands responded to Grand Ronde in Polk County to help look for a missing child. At about 5:30 p.m. a four-year-old child had wandered off from his home on property which includes 20 acres of thick vegetation. It was cold, dark, and there had been recent predator attacks on livestock on the property.  The child had been missing for about two hours when law enforcement officers from numerous agencies arrived on scene to assist with the search. Personnel from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office, Salem Police Department, Grand Ronde Tribal Police, Polk County Fire District, Polk County Search and Rescue, and OSP searched the property and surrounding area for approximately two hours before the child was found safe.  Troopers Lorence and Watkin of the McMinnville Area Command were among the first law enforc

TRAIN VS. PEDESTRIAN CRASH NEAR JUNCTION CITY

Lane Co. Sheriff's Office Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the report of a train vs. pedestrian crash just north of Junction City this morning shortly after 11:30am.  Upon arrival, deputies learned that a train had been traveling southbound along Union Pacific rail lines when it struck an adult female that had been walking along the tracks.  Initial investigation revealed that the female had been facing away from the train as it approached. Train operators saw the female and attempted to warn her by horn, however she did not respond.  Train operators were not able to stop the train in time and the female was struck.  She was pronounced deceased on scene.  Railroad employees remained on scene and are cooperating with investigators. Hoover’s family has not been able to contact her since that time. Hoover did not take any of her belongings when she left. WASHINGTON SEXUAL ASSAULT SUSPECT PLEADS GUILTY; INVESTIGATORS SEEKING INFORMATION ON ANY ADDITIONAL VICTIMS

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office On January 30th, 2024, a Washington man pled guilty in Marion County Circuit Court in connection with a 2023 sexual assault. The investigation was conducted by detectives from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the case was prosecuted by Marion County Deputy District Attorney Katharine Semple.  Ronald Junior Collins II, 34, pled guilty to multiple charges, including: • Rape in the First Degree • Strangulation (2 counts) • Assault in the Fourth Degree (2 counts) Collins was sentenced to 100 months in the Department of Corrections.  The investigation into this incident began in February 2023. Detectives learned Collins met his victim online. Collins was arrested in Washington state in June 2023 and extradited to Marion County.  Due to the nature of the crimes, investigators believe there may be additional victims in Oregon and Washington. Investigators are asking anyone who may have been a victim to report this activity to their local law enforcement.
