Suspicious Device located at Brookswood Boulevard and Lodgepole Drive

On October 29th, 2018 at 5:28 pm a citizen reported a suspicious device located at the intersection of Brookswood Boulevard and Lodgepole Drive. The reporting person said the device was on the curb and looked like a pipe bomb.
Officers from the Bend Police Department responded and located the device. Officers were unable to determine if the device was dangerous so they called the Oregon State Police Bomb Squad in Salem Oregon.
OSP Bomb Squad arrived at 8:35 pm and rendered the device safe. The device was transported to Salem where it will undergo further examination to identify it.
