Male Indicted For Sex Abuse: Victims Sought

Beaverton Police Dept.

On September 9, 2019, 33-year-old Lee Zon Bennett was arrested for Sex Abuse.  Mr. Bennett was taken to Washington County Jail where he awaits his next court appearance.

In May 2019 Beaverton Police Detectives started investigating Mr. Bennett after evidence came to light regarding him sexually abusing a female child in 2009.

At the time of the abuse, the child was 4 years old.  During the investigation, a second victim was found.  The second victim stated she was sexually abused by Mr. Bennett in 2011.  At the time the second victim was abused, she was 10 years old.  During the incidents of abuse, Mr. Bennett was temporarily staying at people’s houses and/or babysitting the children.

In August 2019, a Washington County Grand Jury heard testimony regarding these cases.  The Grand Jury indicted Mr. Bennett with three counts of Sex Abuse in the First Degree and two counts of Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree.

Due to Mr. Bennett’s past transient living conditions, Beaverton Police detectives believe there may be additional victims.  If your child has had contact with Mr. Bennett, and there are concerns of inappropriate behavior, please contact BPD Detective Jeff Gill at ?503-526-2660.
